Hey,
I have an HTC One M7_UL.
About 6 months ago, I rooted and installed Cyanogenmod.
Recently my carrier (Mobistar Belgium) activated LTE for my account - but it does not work.
When I force the radio on LTE, it seems as if there is no coverage - while my friend with a Nexus 5 has perfect LTE coverage.
2G, 3G data work fine (HSPA+, HSDPA, Dual carrier,...)
It's not the APN - I set that manually.
It's not the ROM - I flashed liquid smooth yesterday and have the same issue.
I wonder if my Firmware is incompatible with the CM11 and liquid smooth which both have Android 4.4.4.
Could that be the issue ?
Find the output from my fastboot getvar all

If it is the firmware - where can I find the correct one to use ? and how to flash it without being S-off (I"d rather avoid that if possible).
Is there a ROM that upgrades firmware automatically ?
Sorry for the many questions, I have been searching the forum for weeks, but don't find the answer. If this has been answered before - please forward me.
Maybe it's your sim card. As far as I know, you need sim card that supports LTE

I assumed it was just my profile in the HLR that would have been activated, but the website of the operator indeed states that you need a sim-card that was produced after 2008. Since mine is still from 2000, I'm going to give that a try - I can do that without S-off
Thanks for the tip!

Just to confirm that the problem is solved by requesting a new SIM-Card - turns out that indeed a SIM-card needs to be LTE-compatible.
Thanks again for the tip!

Hi Everyone, I have with me a HTC HTL22 which I am looking to unlock to use in UK. Unfortunately the phone does not ask for unlock code once a different sim is inserted, which if had happen this post probably won't have existed. This post main concern is sim unlocking and all that is involved, I have been doing a lot of research for about 8hrs and will be posting what I have tried aswell to assist others who might have similiar problem. My mission will be complete once I can use a UK sim in this phone.

from research I think this is the worse version as lots of patching to security has been done. My software version is 2.1.970.2 which seems to be latest.
What I tried thats not worked:
- downgrading firmware
- revone with run_root_shell
- updating to custom made rom
Questions:
- is it possible i could change hboot and does it use same as HTC ONE?
- is there any rom I could upgrade to?
- is there a secret code to force unlock code into phone?
- will i get it unlocked if i asked au
- is there any solution at all?
Thanks for reading and if you are going through the same problem lets work together hey and if you know a solution i will definitely be willing to buy you a beer or 2

If you still need help I'm willing to try to get this done, although I know for a fact that without some sort of hackery that you can't make UK firmware work, because the UK and JP are completely different phonesphones my only idea is rumrunner s-off and SuperCID

Hi yeah I've been looking into it unfortunately none have been successful. I been to rumrunner site and followed instructions there but not worked seem at the moment the exploits only work for 2.15 version.

Ok so i had a problem about a month ago that originally got resolved and everything was working perfectly. After some weird interactions with my PC I now have no baseband or IMEI. I have tried reinstalling the ROM that was working but no luck. Instead i just go stuck in a boot loop. It was a different issue basically last time i uninstalled the OS and had no files on the sd card and i just needed a USB-OTG cable. I believe it had something to do with drivers for the phone. I dont know what it has to do in relation to it but I can confirm that I did nothing to influence the change.
I have full root and can boot the phone up fine but its just the baseband and iemi that are missing however they do show up in the getvar. Im not sure if i should be putting my device on S-OFF and doing an RUU?

I don't think that will fix it. There have been a few threads with the same issue - something to do with a corrupt partition if I remember. Hopefully our resident gurus @alray or @nkk71 might be able to help you out.

Just if i understand correctly, baseband, IMEI etc show up just fine in fastboot getvar all, but in any booted ROM, if you go to "Settings -> About -> Software information -> More" does baseband show up correctly?
and "Settings -> About -> Phone identity" shows correct IMEI, IMSI?
If it's saying:
Baseband version - unknown
IMEI - Unknown
IMWI SV - Unknown
Imsi - unavailable
Then I hate to be the bearer of bad news , but it's a hardware problem,
and I haven't seen anyone able to fix it through software (i've personally tried with one user: RUUs, factory resets, even manually overwriting the modem partitions with good ones => no result)
Here's another guy who had the same problem: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2696688
(so far i've seen like 3 or 4 incidents)
Sorry buddy
That would be a borked EFS partition (which is individual for each handset so can't be taken from another phone) if it doesn't show them in Settings - nothing can be done other than sending to HTC

Yeah that sucks but I think I still might be in my year of warranty. In which case I noticed that you wrote the returning to stock guide. Would it be an idea to return it to stock or at least to a ROM that doesnt have tampered or unlocked and just claiming it under warranty.

yeah, but in order to return to stock (to set LOCKED not relocked), you need to be s-off... i don't know how long your ROM is stable (before rebooting itself) to be able to achieve S-Off

Thanks for all the help buddy. I'll check back later when the website comes back up
EDIT: I had a long look at the guide post and came up with these 2 downloads. Correct me if im wrong.
First I would need to install this: http://www.htc1guru.com/dld/ruu-zip-m7_google-edition_4-4_3-58-1700-5-zip/ but have to change my CID to one of those listed first.
Then after changing my CID back to the original I would flash this nandroid backup to CWM http://www.htc1guru.com/dld/m7-cwm-nandroid-backup-cid-htc__039-1-29-980-2-2013-05-11-zip/
Then I should find the closest stock recovery to 3.63.980.2 and finally use guru reset to relock the bootloader
Thanks in advance

I tried to root my HTC One a while back when I got it on contract on Three mobile but failed to so it successfully. In doing so I managed to get the Super SU but it did not work properly. My phone then was labelled ***Tampered*** ***Unlocked***.
A few months after that I tried to get it back to the way it was before, ie when I first got it. I had a problem finding the custom RUU or something? I really don't know how Android phones work and should not have tried rooting it in the first place. I then somehow got it to say ***Tampered*** ***Relocked***.
I gave up trying to do anything as this whole process is very confusing to fix and perhaps easier guides would come along one day. I am now writing this thread as my phone cannot connect to the Three network , as in, there is a sim card but can't get a phone signal or 3G/4G signal. I can't make any calls or connect to the internet unless using wifi. I have tried getting a replacement sim but it does not make the phone work (the sim is not faulty as I have tried using it on another phone). I have tried hard resetting my phone but it does not work presumably because it is still rooted and always loads the bootloader (I think that's what it's called?) whenever I try to reset, or update software for that matter. I have tried all the options in Settings -> Mobile Network Settings multiple times as well as all the options in *#*#4636#*#*
So my question is this:
How can I get my phone signal back? OR How can I unroot my HTC One S-On on the Three UK network in words a moron like me can understand?
OR both haha.
Thank you so much in advance for reading this and trying to help me, I'm really desperate to get my phone working properly again.

I found a fix by the way, now my phone is factory locked and the signal is back up and running. Super SU has been removed and the software has also updated to the newest version as up to 12th July 2015.

Well anyway your best bet would be to go to your provider's store and get them to contact HTC to arrange a repair. That's the only way, as you can see nobody helped me.

HSDPA is esentialy 3g. If you have H in notification bar, that should be it. Measure your internet speed and see what results you get

thank you for your response.
when i tested speed before installing revolution hd ROM, i dad 16MO down with H signal HSDPA without LTE.
Now, after installation the ROM, I have GSM-WCDMA-LTE with H signal but only 2MO down all time.
I think that HSDPA and HSDPA+ is for 3G++ mode , but the RADIO is not well configurated in revolution HD ROM or some thing like that. I dont know really how update the radio to get the maximum speed rate.
best regards

Your problem is not with ARHD, you simply have a different phone. ARHD is made for UL version of M7, so radio is a bit different to allow 4g speeds. Sure, it will work with your phone too, but, as you already know, there will be some issues. Like you say - you have 4g (lte) option, but your radio simply doesn't support that kind of connection. I don't have any idea on how to increase your speed, except flashing a stock ROM for your phone, sorry

Any expert/developer please help me recover my camera..
The story was I was on stock HTC Sence (Kitkat but later on updated to Lollipop by OTA updates) then I decided to try Cyanogenmod 13 on my HTC One M7 when I installed, during calls the microphone was not working properly then I installed Cyanogenmod 14 Unofficial but that was on ALPHA stage at that time and it was consuming too much battery so I again removed and flashed Cyanogenmod 13 but again that MIC problem.. Than I thought to download the stock firmware from htc website to flash. I downloaded and installed the stock firmware which was than preupdated I mean Lollipop version but when I tried to open my Camera app it didnt worked. When I open my camera app it shows a black screen and after a few seconds it closes..
I tried to install cyanogenmod 13, 14 and few TWRP Nandroid backups of older versions but still the camera is not working on any ROM (Stock and Custom both)..
Now I am really stuck and cant do anything to recover my phone cameras... Please help
I also dont know what model of phone I am using (International, Sprint or Verison) please hel me to identify
Other Information:
HTC One M7
S-Off
Bootloader Unlocked (I did my self)
CID: 11111111

Not connecting with 4G Network???
I tried so many ROMs Custom & Stock but my phone connects to 3G network and shows only H,H+ & 3G near to the signal bars on status bar. I think my phone is 4G/LTE supported and it also shows option in the settings for connecting with 4G/LTE network. I am living in 4G coverage areaa I tried to check my SIM on other phones and it works but on phone I am not able to connect with with the 4G network.
May be it is also an issue related to software but is there anything related to hardware which I should check please guide me.
Thank you...

7.17.1540.51 is the latest Developer Edition version so I guess you've flashed the Developer Edition RUU from their website (that's fine) and not the At&t version from the link you've posted (which is 7.23.502.9). If after flashing a RUU your camera doesn't work, its probably an hardware problem. Flashing a RUU restore all the software and firmware back to stock so if something still doesn't work after this, there is nothing you can flash that will solve the problem.
I would try to flash the RUU again and make sure it's flashing completely (no error code) just to make sure. If the camera isn't back after that then you'll need to send it for repair. Backup everything you need first, the RUU will wipe your phone.

Thanks for your help I tried you RUU but still the same problem :crying: Now I am sure its a hardware issue.. I will send my mobile to for camera repair.
Secondly yes I installed the correct RUU the link I have pasted was wrong which I correct later you can check the post.

Check your APN is correctly configured (refer to your carrier settings).
