green light in atrix hd mb886 i cant turn it on. - Motorola Atrix HD

it all started two weeks ago
the atrix hd suddenly started close the firefox app,
three days ago it freezed and black screen, i tried press the power button but nothing!
it only came back when i connected the charger, the green led blinked two times and it powered up normally with the red motorola logo etc.
i was feeling that this phone was dying so for security i made one backup of important files less one that i forgot, and i am needing this file right now.
today i was checking my emails when it freezed and black screen, tried press power button and nothing.
charger ... nothing!
so i checked in the internet and saw the " special modes/special menus"
so i pressed power and vol down and entered in fastboot mode, and pressed power so the phone restarted.
but it freezed in the home screen.
repeat it all over again and i could use it normally.
again i was using my phone and black screen.
but this time the phone does not even enter in fastboot mode.
the only signal of "life" is the green led when i plug my charger or when i connect the usb cable in the pc,
in the linux the terminal cant recognize the phone with lsusb command.nothing appears.
i tried disconnect the battery for two minutes but nothing happend.
the last time it freezed it was with 23% of charge.
it is more than two hours in the charger but nothing happens.
i am using an eb40 battery,it was hardly used, lately it only could 6 hours of activity.
i think months ago when i used to use an pirate charger it damaged my phone doing the things worse now in the present , because the pirate charger provided more current than my atrix hd could take. so the touch became nuts /crazy detecting more touches than the real in ramdon places of the screen. happilly i found an old n900 charger and the problems ceased/stopped.
sometimes the green led blinks two times
sometimes the green led continues "solid" only stopping if i disconnect the charger
sometimes it only stops when i press power and vol down buttons and after continues when i finished press the power and vol down buttons.
observation:
i loose the screw that hold the battery because if the screw is tight not even the green led appears,so i think it could be an bad contact of battery.
so if someone have a tip of improvisation i would appreciate.
except the fact that i unlocked the operator this smartphone is virgin, i do not touched in the software(rooted or unlocked botloader )
this mb886 is an at&t one, i am not an american citizen so i could not ask an repair from at&t
as i said i am needing an file, so nothing about hard reset or things that could erase the memory.

[Q] Brand new Nexus One can't be powered on

I have a brand new Nexus One bought on last year April. For some reason it wasn't to be used. Yesterday, I got it out of the package and charged it for ready to be powered on. Unfortunately, it reacted nothing as I pressed the power button! I took out the battery and put it into other Nexus One, it showed the battery was 100% charged.
I took back the battery and repacked it to this new Nexus One. I tried to press the power button more and more with data cable connected pc. Nothing happened. Just one time, the sceen lighted on and the "X" in four colors appeared! I didn't know why it was powered on. Maybe I pressed the trackball or volume up/down buttons, God know it.
The X sceen lasted almost for ten minutes and then sceen was off! Yes. It shutdown! I can't power it on anymore!
It seemed the hardware was OK. It may be the locked by the outdate android system. The android prestored in this phone is version 2.1.
Any advice is welcome. Thanks.
Can u you go in fastboot? Press power button+trackball..if so then you can recover your phone by unlocking bootloader and falshing custom recovery.
Sadly, It can't be power on and go in fastboot by pressing trackball+power button.
Any more advice?
Check the battery terminals just to make sure they're not dirty.. Sadly, you MUST be able to at least be able to boot something (hboot/fastboot) in order to troubleshoot anything software related. Sounds like you've got a hardware issue that could be one of (literally) a million things.
Sell it on EBay for parts. You can probably get $50-$60
you could try pressing pwr/vol-/trackball all at same time, hold down for around 30 seconds to make sure
commonly known as 3 finger salute
try power on without sdcard by manual methods and plugging in and plugging in with no battery
I have seen a video on YouTube on how to fix the power button which is known for messing up and how to turn it on. Search YouTube
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App
is it that the power button is not working? that would be weird for a new phone though.
have you tried to turn it on using the "jump start" method?
connect the cable. led the charging led come on. remove the battery, wait for the led to go off (while cable is still connected) then pop the battery back in.
see if you can get it to start that way
When you plug charger cable in your Nexus, does the orange or green LED go on?
If one of them does and stays (green for full battery, orange otherwise) - then your problem is most likely the power button. It may not be the only problem, but at least the one that's stopping you from turning on your phone. You can try "jumpstarting" it by inserting battery while charger is connected.
If you don't see LEDs when plugged in - your phone is done.
If you see blinking LEDs - battery terminals might need cleaning/fixing, it usually happens when the battery is out of the phone.

[Q] Daily lock up while charging

Hello,
I am currently using an ATT branded 64 GB HTC One. The Phone is locked and stock except for a few play applications I've downloaded
Nearly every day that I connect the phone to the charger for an extended period of time I will come back to it and it will be frozen, the notification LED will be solid just like its charging normally but the screen will not wake, when the phone is disconnected from the charger the LED stays solid red as if it was still plugged in. At this point I will hold the power button until the phone powers off (or at least seems to, the screen backlight is not on and the LED goes black) and then hold the power button again and it will boot. The more serious problem I've been running in to is after powering down the phone down sometimes it will not power back on again regardless of how long I hold the power button for (I haven't gone over 1:30 of holding the button often but I have tried it). The phone seems dead for either a few minutes or a few hours. Here are some other observations I've made...
- I've had the phone "lock up" on 3 different chargers, HTC bundled charger, generic USB, and the one bundled with my Nexus 4.
- I've thought maybe the phone isn't charging while I am away and when the phone will not wake up maybe it is completely dead so I've hooked it up for about ~15-60 minutes and tried powering the phone up on the above 3 chargers, a Lumia 920 charger, car charger, and charging off computers USB port. None of these seem to have any affect on waking the phone up.
- The time between powering off and when it will power back on seems to be getting longer? I am currently with the dead One, it died about 12 hours ago before bed, tried to power it on last night and again this morning after leaving it on the charger. The closest to powering on that I got was the screen flashed white for a millisecond. Tried to power it back on many times this morning and no go.
- The phone hasn't frozen away from home, but I've only charge it from USB from my PC at work.
Right now I am leaning toward contacting ATT to see if I can arrange an exchange, I'm out of ideas at this point.

won't turn on/can't select any boot options

I have a new Motorola Atrix HD. I was using it and the screen went black. i hit the power button to unlock but nothing happened. i plugged it in but nothing happened. i took the back off to see if the battery was disconnected. I didn't know the battery was different than other phones and ripped the power cord connecting the battery to the phone when i took it out. lesson learned. Ordered a new battery and installed correctly. phone won't turn on. The green charge light blinks when i plug it into the wall and then stays on for about 20 seconds and then the phone tries to turn on but while the motorola icon is illuminated, it cuts back out and repeats the cycle. I left it plugged in for a couple hours and still the same thing. i tried holding in power and volume buttons for the boot screen. if i do that just as the phone attempts to turn on i can get the screen up and scroll the list of boot options with the power buttons but i can't select any of them and the phone cuts out after the same amount of time. Everytime. When i plug it into my laptop, the light blinks on and then stays on like with the wall, but the phone doesn't attempt to power up. Please, any help would be greatly appreciated. i have read a lot of forums where the battery was acting up because of the chargers people were using. The difference between my situation and those of the people i read about is that my boot screen cuts out and cannot be used. This all happened 2 days after my exchange period ended and because i took the back off myself, best buy won't have anything to do with me so i'm on my own and cannot afford another phone right now. Thanks in advance for your time and concern.

Is it possible that the that connection between the power cord and the phone itself is loose or damaged? I'm just guessing here as I have never opened up the back of my phone.
I would check your battery terminals then leave it to charge if it does. You could also try a factory cable. Another thing would be to try fastboot while connected to your laptop and see if it stays on, and if it does, try reflashing all partitions.

[Q] sony xperia T10 wont turn on, flashes red

Hi.
so the thing is, that even some time before this happened my xperia T10 was restarting while not connected to the charger.
I couldnt use it daily because it just kept restarting whenever somebody called me or I used the mobile internet.
Few days ago I left my phone without charger for night and I believe it kept restarting over and over again.
When I woke up, I couldnt turn it on, when its not connected to the charger it simply flashes red 2 times and thats it, if connected it flashes still red light as long as I press power button.
I thought its the same problem like I had with a tablet long time ago and it would be enough to let it charge for 2 days or so.
its 3rd day now and everything is still the same.
What should I do?
I dont have an acces to PC or laptops since I dont have one.
Any advice?
bump
Bump up
I opened the case and took the battery off for few hours and then put it in again, and ofc i attached all the cables and such back again.
Now when i hold volume down button and power button the led turns green for 5 secs and then fades. Then whenever i push power button the red led flashes still light but it dissapears after 10-30 sec and comes up again after few seconds.
help...
I know this from my xperia T. I hold (in holder not in my hand) the power button for long time (about hour) with connected power cable. And after this time it starts work. Try that

[Q] Strange (hard?) brick

Hi,
After many years of enjoying this magnificent phone the disaster came.
The phone discharged overnight and switched off. In the morning I had to send some texts, so plugged the wall charger into USB socked (a weak one ~500mA), after few moments a charging icon appeared and stated that battery has 1%. Ok, I really had to send those messages: I've pressed the power button and phone started to boot.
Sony logo: OK, purple wave, OK...
After 10-20 seconds it suddenly switched of, red LED started to blink.
I thought: OK, system startup needs a lot of power, maybe a charger is too week to keep up.
So I left phone for few more minutes to charge, but without success.
That was the last time I saw screen was on.
Phone is a C6903, running on a stock, rooted 14.6.A.1.236 with the recent XZRecovery.
Bootloader has been unlocked.
For the moment I've tried everything but opening back and doing the testport-trick.
When I connect the power only red led blinks (I left the phone charging overnight, no change).
When I try to enter flash mode: nothing happens but red blinking light.
When I try to start phone nothing happens at all.
But there is still hope:
I connected the phone to 2A charger using a magnetic cable.
Then I've connected normal USB cable to my PC, strange thing started to happen:
When I pressed volume Up (even after few minutes of connecting power+usb) the phone suddenly jumped to fastboot mode (blue led, it was discovered by PC, fastboot terminal was functional)
When I press power button, phone vibrates for a second, then the led pattern changes to: 1s red followed by 0.1s green, then long red, then it repeats...
I'm still unable to enter any recovery nor flashmode...
I'd really appreciate any help, have you got any ideas left how can I revive my phone?

Hi, this just happened to me, my phone has been dead for over 4 weeks with just the red led blinking. i tried the test point thing with no success at that point I gave up but last week i decided to get a new genuine battery and it worked it booted up. Your battery is just completely dead thats why it won't boot up!

Thanks for the info! I've ordered a replacement battery already.
I'll open my phone today and measure all voltages. I'll keep you updated.
Good luck

Yup! That was it (at least I think so, I don't have new battery yet)
The Al part of positive battery terminal was broken: I have no idea why, maybe because of age, oxidation and high currents that were drained from this LiPo cell...
Anyway I've managed to temporarily join two broken Al parts, kernel and recovery booted successfully.
Now I need to wait for a replacement battery.
Phone is alive again, thanks tilakpatel for help!
But the magnetic cable trick might be useful in other hardbrick cases: just connect magnetic charger, connect normal USB cable to PC and hold volUp. Phone should be able to enter fastboot even with completely drained battery...
