Hi Guys,
I have a rooted S-On Tmobile M7UL device. It was running on Viper one 6.2 Rom without a problem. Today all of a sudden my phone is not receiving any signal. Wifi is fine. Tried factory resetting the phone. But still no signal. Please help.

You might try re-installing the radio or TMO firmware. If you want to run the latest RUU 5.14.531.11.

Thank you for the reply. Since im S-On i might have to relock ans flash stock recovery right?
And i found a way to get the signal back. When the phone boots up all i have to do is turn airplane mode on and off. Then signal comes back. But the problem is i have to do this every time i switch on the phone. Do you think it has something related to a bug in the custom ROM?
I cant seem to flash any other custom roms. tried insertcoin 4 and few others. But all of them caused bootloops.

It might be a custom ROM. If you can find a firmware for your version flash it. Yes you have to lock your bootloader.

if all the roms bootloop you need to update your custom recovery to 2.6.3.3 or 2.7.1.1

Have the same issue. Had it with insertcoin and now with viper 7

I'm on candy kitkat 4.4.4 rom and had the issue of having service but no data. So I flashed a 4T.28.3218.04_10.33E.1718.01L radio and all is good now. But I'm s-off and have super cid.

I am s off and supercid-ed running ViperROM 5.8 still with the first T mobile KitKat radio. I almost always have full LTE but these past few weeks and maybe more they are upgrading towers and I suddenly have 3g. It usually happens between 3 and 5am but when I am awake, I call and they give me $10 credit. I am on ancient firmware too....I am about to update now but I am trying to be sure that newest firmware version is OK because my LTE is always blazing fast...don't want to ruin that!

Data Connection Issue

Hi
I rooted my phone 2 days back and installed Trickdroid ROM, since then i am facing issues with data connection... This is what happens:
It works for a while and then just stops receiving data.. the sending data arrow blinks (with HSPDA) but the receiving doesn't. If i turn the data off and on again.. it again works for a while.
To troubleshoot: I flashed the ROM again (full wipe, even at first it was full wipe); nothing changed.> I deleted my APN settings and manually added new settings (VODAFONE), still the same... works for a while and stops.
Then i installed Ordroid ROM... same issue.. tried everything.
This was working perfectly when i got my device and was stock.
i can't say that it's 4.2.2 or anything cause my friends did the same and they don't have issues.
Now need some expert advice as to what went wrong.
p.s.: WiFi works perfectly.
You can try updating the radio firmware as this may be the problem but this may or may not 100% fix it as your case seems isolated (not many other complaints). May just be your carrier upgrading stuff also.
You can try full wiping again. It might fix your data problem.
Heres the link for the radios
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2183023&page=2317
about halfway down youll find them I just updated to the .24 fw and have seen a slight performance (ATT)
I dont know if you need s-off or not since i am s-off to update these through recovery but even with s-off i couldn't update through adb

Which one should i be choosing?? I am on vodafone india. Also can i just flash through CWM? i am not soff.
I'd try the .24 just since its the newest. I don't know if it will work with S-On since I am s-off. You can give it a try but you can easily set s-off if you need to with revolution. I renamed the zip download to radio.zip and flashed it with twrp so cwm should also work. Just check to make sure theres no problem with putting it on your phone which there should be none and this may fix it since it relates straight to the radio.

Flashed the radio. 24. Let's see results now.
I've got the same issues.... I flash the Rom ARHD 10.1 then back to 9.4 be cause i don't like the 4.2.2 sense rom.
I try to change the radio with the 3 .zip avalaible and nothing change. I'll try to full wipe my one today, and do a factory reset..
ps: excuse my english..
Issue persists... what else guys?

Help -- May have bricked my phone

Hi all,
So I wanted to flash ViperOne and saw that it requires 2.6.3.3 for TWRP, so I went and found 2.6.3.4, and went through a big excursion trying to get that to work with ViperOne 5.0.0, and it turns out doing all that somehow really messed my phone up. I don't get service, I can't set the phone up, it has a bunch of problems. I managed to get TWRP 2.6.3.0 working for my phone, and flashed ViperOne 3.5.0 but do not get any service on it, same with just about every ROM I run now. It can't even get to the setup screen, which is a big problem as well.
Any idea what I may have done to mess my phone up so badly? I'm really starting to freak out over here.
Thanks in advance.
Edit: Managed to get a backupe restored from a while ago of ViperOne 3.5.0, but it constantly restarts on me, as well as my data doesn't work. When I turn Mobile Data on it immediately says "Disconnected" and will not find a data network. Any ideas?

Also the latest version of twrp is 2.6.3.0 that's why everything is messed up you flashed a version from a GSM device

Does it matter that I never actually flashed a ROM for a GSM device? I stuck to only flashing ROMs that are compatible for my device, it was just the recovery I flashed wrongly.

OK, awesome. That makes a lot of sense, as it was having a lot of errors involving mounting. I am downloading one of his S-ON firmwares now, and am going to go about attempting to fix it using that guide. I will update with the results.

[Q] Phone reboots on HTC setup screen after flashing.

I was having trouble flashing the newest Viper Rom for my phone and decided to wipe everything and flash the Bad Boyz 4.4.2 Sense 6 using Philz Recovery. After flashing and rebooting I can unlock my phone but it is stuck on the "HTC" screen. After waiting a while it will go into set up, asking me for language and wi-fi connection, but then I get an error that says "process com.htcdialer isn't responding and then my phone reboots. Been doing the same thing for about an hour. Please help.
Edit: Actually I will get the error once and press wait or ok then it will go away. Then it will come back and that's when my phone restarts. Also if I leave my phone alone and do nothing it reboots on its own.
SOLVED: Seemed there was nothing I could do but run an RUU. Do not use the 4.06.651.4_RUU that was recently posted as there are still some issues with it. I used the 3.04.651.2 one and updated from there. After updating to 4.2.2 again I unlocked my bootloader again and ran the Dirty Unicorn ROM as I was too scared to rerun the Viper ROM lol. Worked out great. Thanks for the help.

This is exactly where Im stuck at currently. I went ahead and did a factory reset as I had flashed more than one rom already and I was thinking that one of the roms was the culprit. I flashed Android Revolution 53.0 HD and I think I didnt flash the correct zip for my phone. Jus got off work and havn't picked up the phone yet to try again, Im about to now though, hopefully somebody can help us get past this...
I wonder if your both using Philz, I'm on TWRP 2.7.0.0 and no problems, but I wonder if flashing other roms could be the culprit.
When I go from sense 6 to previous versions or vice verse, I always use superwipe:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2237021
See if that works.

Back from eating out with the girlfriend -_-...And now Im thinking maybe its my (our?) hboot. Im going to try flashing it down to 1.44 and seeing if that does anything. Mine is currently 1.56 and when I run RUU.exe i get the error 155... Here goes nothing...
Results:
M7_WLS PVT SHIP S-ON RH
CID-SPCS_001
HBOOT-1.44.0000
OPENDSP-V32.120.274.0909
EMMC-BOOT
MAY 8 2013,16:30:08:-1
Now with the hex modified hboot I just flashed I know its designed to appear to be locked and s-on, but what has legit changed besides my hboot version? It appears my dat has changed and my opendsp, whatever that is... What would be my next step now that I am 1.44? About to run the RUU again (stock) and see what happens...
Edit#2: Forgot that my phone is no longer recognized by my pc... so Im gonna update drivers again and see if that will allow me to run the RUU.exe
I'm on hboot 1.56, you guys wipe system in between differing versions of sense right??
A ghetto way to temp fix it, you could download a ROM with same sense version and extract the htcdialer.apk and put that in system/app/
Not sure if that will give different results but I'm currently driving 300 miles, will check back in later

I definitely didnt superwipe. Maybe thats my issue. I won't be home for another couple of hours. I'll try this as soon as possible. Thank you.
Also I got passed the htc set up but I dont have any network service. i'll update asap.
EDIT: I can't seem to use superwipe either. I get a message saying
assert failed: getprop("ro.product.device") == "m7wls" (Status 7)

[Q] Post-Flash Issues (Rebooting, Cannot Send Texts)

Hello everyone! Thank you for your time.
I have a AT&T HTC One from launch day. I recently flashed the AT&T stock ROM for 4.4.2 over an old 4.2 Google Play Edition ROM for my phone. I used ADB Sideload in TWRP 2.5 to do so. I also rooted. After flashing, I was fine for about a day, but then two issues occurred.
1) I can no longer send texts. I receive them fine and the phone works otherwise for calls, Wi-Fi, data, etc. but nobody I've texted is receiving texts. I've tried using a third-party client and the built in one.
2) If I reboot the phone, the phone will boot up normally, work for about a minute or two, then reboot again. This cycle repeats until I flash again. Clearing the caches does not help. I'm still able to access everything until it reboots and getting into the Settings menu seems to prevent this issue from occurring, but I have no idea why this is happening.
I know I can always flash another ROM and those seem to work fine, but I'd really like to stick with stock or a similar-stock experience where I can root. Anyone that can recommend a solution or a ROM that's close to stock would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

[Q] Wifi connected but wont load anything

I unlocked my bootloader and flashed CM11 it was fine until the wifi no longer worked at all it authenticates and it connects to the router however it wont load anything. I flashed ARHD and it also doesn't work on it. What could be the problem?
I thought I should note that the phones IP shows up in the routers connected devices.

Other devices are fine, It seems to work after i leave it overnight and then randomly not work even though its connected and I get the Internet connection unstable error.
I used ARHD stock rom and flashed the stock recovery and got the OTA back to 4.4.3
I cannot use any RUU to get back to stock as I cannot get s-off
I am very confused about this

Well, i used Liquid Smooth Rom to S-OFF. it works fine but you also need to check your hboot version before S-OFF.
the reason why i S-OFF my device because i did some rom flashing but it was too buggy and i accidentally hit wipe everything. All the rom that i downloaded is wipe, no software in it and abd sideload wont work for me atm. So i have to get OTG cable and run Liquid Smooth to S-OFF. After that i can run the RUU properly.

My concern is the WiFi issue I mentioned that I am not able to s-off just so its clear that I cannot return to stock via a RUU.
I am fairly sure though that flashing the ARHD stock ROM then stock recovery is almost the same. I did get the OTA right after flashing the stock recovery with it. But the WiFi issue started with using firewater. I am curious because it uses WiFi and I have tried it many times maybe it caused some damage? Anyone know if its possible for firewater to cause WiFi damage? I'm thinking its something else but if anyone knows anything let me know :good:
