First of all .. download these files ( Download this match to your XTZ models ) >

Lastly , download this > Easy Rooting toolkit > http://get.xda-developers.com/dl/5/....zip?key=cPtaGWUfIsR4Lq4jgNcU2Q&ts=1410759541 ( Towel root won't work because it need internet , and your tablet would not connected to internet because you will flash .230 kernel , so this tool perfect for rooting tab Z right now )

When all of the files above is ready , Let's get started !
* I Assume that you on Stock 4.4.4 , no root , and have basic knowledge how to flash on flashtools *
1)Open up Flashtools , Turned your Tablet Off .. and Flash ( .230 kernel )

2)Reboot it back

3) Once the tablet at the homescreen , the connectivity doesn't work , so just relax and go to setting >Developer options tick the USB
debugging (* if you don't see the developer options , go to About phone > , and press ' Build number ' repeatly

4) On PC , open up EasyRootTool folder , and double click 'install.bat '

5)When the root successfull , reboot it back , and install the recoveries > http://nut.xperia-files.com/downloa...jb3ZlcnkyLjcuMTU0LUJFVEEuaW5zdGFsbGVyLnppcA==

7) Your tablet should have SuperUser or SuperSU .. if you don't have , just download the apk here > http://www.devfiles.co/download/53bf1d9e9b631cfd34000001 , and transfer it to tablet > then install it . ( if you don't succesfull installing the SUperSU , just reboot your tablet * )

8) Open up ' Tab Z lockedbootloader recovery ' folder .. then > double click ' install.bat ' , then choose ' Installation on ROM rooted on SuperSU'

9) after successfull , Power off your tablet

10) After that , Open up flashtool , and flash ( .283 ) kernel , then reboot

11) Congratulations , now you have recovery and root on Xperia Tablet Z , Running latest Android version

You just have to download x8_E15_2.1.1.C.0.0_generic.7z (eclair version)
Uncompress it, and put the file in flashtools in /firmware.
And flash it

How do i flash?
Extract the .7Z, you'll get a .ftf
You put this file in flashtools/firmware
Launch flashtools (in administrator mod if you're on windows vista/7)
Connect your phone (you must check debug mod on your phone setting)
Clic on flash > choose the file
And follow the instructions.
If you don't know how to use flashtools, you'll find a thread which explain better than me (my french is better than english so..)
Download the Unbrick text file I put into the folder you got linked to ...

First of all, Never use bolded and big font !
Second, what kind of root menthod are you using ?
The best is : update.zip
- Download update.zip for galaxy mini (many on the internet)
- Power Off your phone
- Press Power + home button (center button)
- Use volume up and volume down to navigate
- Select install updates.zip / anything that same.
- Reboot
Check if you rooted.
If you have a skull android, in your app drawer that's mean you successfull rooting your mini.

i have meet the same problem!!!! Error, status 7!
So this is my story! - i have rooted my 2.3.4 after that i`v installed cyano, and than back u 2.3.6 xwktn and i could not root the f... phone. and i decided to try a another custom rom and tried Emanon and than back to 2.3.4 and rooted the phone, i didn`t like it and got back to 2.3.6 and i rooted it very easy!
And this days i did the same thing and worked againe. SO THE WAY TO ROOT YOUR 2.3.6 is to go back to 2.3.4 no need to root this one, and than install 2.3.6 an root with the UPD_1.zip with the stock clockworkmod and it should be the first thing that u do!!! if u thing it`s to much try a diffrent method if u find one that i`v not tryed yet)

Dude install clockwork mod and directly flash any custom rom even those are rooted directly
you can even try the doomlord's method of rooting
you can try UnlockRoot v2.4.2 It's Usefull

was getting this with a stockfirmeware just installed a custom rom on top, came with root and all.
try using zergrush exploit from doomlord, before that u must have installed kies/driver on your pc ..
and enable usb debug ..
For who cant instal the new firmware 253 with flashtool here an flashzip with stock rom 10.1.1.A.1.253 unbranded.
For instalation copy in your phone, enter in recovery, make a full wipe and then instal.

Does that root method work for 253 firmware?!
i bricked my phone(C5302) because installing custom kernel,
then i flash stock again using flashtool and it boot again but now it keep saying "invalid card", :crying:
i checked using *#*#7378423#*#*,
open service info > sim lock, i got all the info value is 0
then i open configuration, i found out that "Bootloader unlock allowed : No" :crying:
i also use PC Companion and Sony Update Service but won't work for me
plz help me to fix this problem...... :crying:

Which gerion of ftf are you flashed? Where you downloaded from? Some ftf file is come with carrier locked.

Make sure your phone is fully charged (minimum recommended value 70%). Now follow these steps below :
1) Connect your phone in MTP (Media Transfer Port) mode with your PC.
2) Open PC Companion and wait phone to be detected, after detection go to update option and click Repair My Phone/Tablet.
3) Leave the device until repair finishes.
Another method :
1) Flash 4.1.2 firmware from here Xperia SP 4.1.2
2) Flash it via Flashtool.
3) Extract the Kernel.sin from the stock FTF file (Android 4.3) you previously have downloaded.
4) Open Flashtool (By Androxyde) and then open tools->sin editior and select Kernel.sin where ever you extracted it.
5) Click extract data and wait.
6) Once you get the kernel.elf file rename it to boot.img.

Search for baseband fix on forum for xsp you'll get it. try that
do you have backup of your TA partition? try restoring it

Yes it will work on your rom
For root , check only model device
like : g900h or g900f ....etc
But as a precaution
make backup of contact , important data.... etc
you can try , bro
