i supposed its best if you charge to 100% and used it until 5-10% before charging back to full.....it may prolonged the battery life......
AW: How to use battery or extend battery life from first time ?
I agree with you. The memory effect is still present in modern batteries.

You have to calibrate phone after changed different size battery. Download from google play some program, BatteryCalibration(free) or some else.

it takes alot of time
Use each battery down to about at least 30% (max down to 5%), charge it fully, repeat two or three times.

Hello,
Since yesterday my phone needs more then 2 days to completely charge? Can this be ROM related or is my device damaged?
I'm running CM10.1 with stock kernel btw.
Thanks!
No it is not normal.
But which phone do you have. In here we discuss the normal s (I9000) and the s plus (I9001)

Check your charger first. A corrupted/duplicate charger would take long enough time to charge the battery to 100%
If it's ok, Try to charge your battery in a similar device. If it charge properly, then the problem might be in hardware.
If it not charging properly in other device, it's time to change your battery..:fingers-crossed:

I tried charging the old battery and that goes really fast. At least for me it's normal. It went from about 55% to 88% in 1,5-2 hours so happily it's not device related. Seems that the new battery isn't working properly. Or should i setup something to make my device recognize the new battery?

nope, thats battery problem, android already has good battery management with.
try charging with display on n see 1% exchange in how many minute, if its takes more than 5 minutes, then its battery faulty.

There's nothing to setup for a new battery. Only just in first use you have to charge it continuously for about 2-3 hours to calibrate it with the device.
Try one thing, fully discharge the battery to 0% and charge it up to 100% continuously.(whatever time it takes) :fingers-crossed:
If it not helps, change the battery.

There's a doubt. If it's because of a faulty battery, the drain will also be worst na.? But he didn't mentioned it.
Hello, i've got today an S3 MINI here with a strange issue, the cellphone when using it normally from all sudden it reboots and starts a weird scenario that doesn't boots up until a charger is plugged, when this happens shows an 75% 80% battery level (aprox) and the device works for a few hours normally and then it drops again.
Tried FACTORY RESET, no go... What's the next step on the issue??
Thanks!

You have a bad battery. The same thing happend to me last month. If you pull out battery, you'll probably notice it's inflated a bit.

Look closer or try to feel it with your fingers. Mine is barely visible
Or something else died in your battery. but if it can't hold charge, chargest fast and discharges even faster, restarts.. time to change the battery. They're not expensive luckaly

I ordered this : http://www.ebay.com/itm/3600mah-Ext...axy-S-3-III-S3-Mini-i8190-Black-/360674611167
Was the battery indeed, Samsung took care over it, but makes me wonder... How bad is assembling Samsung it's phones...
hello,
i'm thinking to change the battery of my xt894 (not enough power for me), and i saw this battery http://m.ebay.it/itm/121306473286?nav=SEARCH what do you think about? could this one gave me problem on phone?
I have it... and it last longer ... like a 15 - 20% than the original.
I ordered mine too! How did you install it? Drain first the original battery? And the install? Or does Android reset the statts for the battery by itself?

guessing you got a bad battery, unless you damaged to battery screw posts on phone, but seems unlikely.

I bought used Droid 4 last month. Battery seems to be in good state (2-2,5 days of light use), but every time it gets to ~40% it immediately drops to 20% (within few seconds). Is there a way to delete battery stats so it can detect percentage correctly? I tried to discharge it completely and recharge again but it didn't help.
Phone is running CM11. Any help appreciated.

if battery's charge is very low, it could take a while to show any change. Normally batteries has some charge, but who know when the battery was made and packaged, could have been a couple of years ago. I would leave connected to wall charger over night.

I tried to let it charge with the charger, after 15 minutes it reached 15%, and when i unplagged the charger it dropped down to 4% (but the charger was really hot)... I will let it charge for some hours, maybe the battery and the system should calibrate their self.... I hope it will work, i'm tired of my n900 yet (and i don't have money to change phone now)

If safestrap is installed, could see it will let you boot to safestrap, and see if it will charge.

droid 4 doesnt require a new rear cover but it will wear out quickly if you remove it frequently. you can even keep the phone without a rear cover if youd like because the stock battery has a glue that holds it together with the phone along with the screws for the flex cable
Hi guys,
I'm having issues with my Mi mix where it just shut down by its self and will no longer boot up anymore, it will load the Mix logo for a few seconds (after the initial Mi one) before shutting down. I can access the recovery, and have tried flashing a new rom, as well as fastbooted the original rom on. Is there any way to fix this?
Also, when plugging in the charge cable it will show charging, but stuck on 67%, it doesnt go above that with overnight charging.
Cheers,

Well maybe unplugging battery for a while may sort it, watch a teardown before attempting, I suspect the battery is actually flat and needs charging but it's stuck in some weird situation. You didn't say wether it was rooted with TWRP.
