Hi
Up until yesterday, apps, whether paid or free would download fine on my device. Nothing has changed my end, but today, paid apps will no longer download (free apps download fine). There are two issues, the authorising payment page takes eons (used to be instant), and the phone sits on the 'starting download' or 'downloading...' pages for ever without ever actually downloading the app that I have paid for. Issue is present whether I initiate the download from the phone or from a PC.
Obviously, this makes the phone next to useless. I have no time to wipe/re-install the phone - especially since this may not even fix the issue!
I can find no 'report an issue' link at google's market to get support on this issue. The apps purchased are past the refund window.
I have tried all the various fixes I found on google (start google talk, kill cache/app settings for market and downloader), try another internet connection, restart phone blah blah, nothing has worked.
Anyone got any suggestions?
Nigel
Paid apps that had previously been installed and then removed will re-install fine... I can only assume that its the authorisation thats failing (nothing wrong with any of the cards on my google wallet account).
Nigel
Go to setting - application - manage - All - market - clear cache n Data
do same for talk (google talk)
first login to talk then market
In market application - check setting - accout - Fix default if you have multiple acc
Hi
As mentioned in my original post. I already tried that. I just tried it again with the same result.
After having done the above, I tried to buy the app from my PC, Got the following message 'Your order is still being processed. Your item will become available as soon as your order is complete. If you'd like, you can check your order status at anytime.' which is not the norm. Clicking the link within the message takes me to the transaction in google wallet which is listed as 'complete' unfortunately, the download does not auto-start (like it used to) on the phone, and when I force it to manually start, It goes to the 'starting download...' message. The app never does download, market app just displays this message forever more until I go and 'clear data' for the market app.
I give up! Looks like I am stuck with what I have on the phone + whatever I can get for free.
Have emailed google, will update thread should they bother to respond.
Market version is 3.4.4 | Download Manager is 2.3.5
Have you vosited web version of market?
Market.android.com login with google acc.
You will see your purchased appl there, if u can see there, click on install from there, it will start installing to ur device remotely
Try it
Hi
Yep, tried that - does not work. I can initiate the installation of free apps from the market on a pc, but not paid apps. The paid app I am trying to install is listed as having been successfully purchased. Looks like a bug/glitch, but one I am going to have to wait for google to fix.
Do you have the Amazon app market installed?

This issue seems to be with KL3 onwards and region or could be csc dependent, the only fix for this is to use the older market version the 2.6.x
try going into recovery mode and choose fix permission
Hi
Well, I got an auto response from google 'we are looking into it', but no emails since. Tried again this morning, and everything just started working again. Whether this was an issue with the market, my market account, my google wallet account etc is unknown.
I'd like to know the reason so I can fix it if it happens again, but at least its now working again.
@ericshmerick: Nope, no amazon app market. I don't believe this works in the UK
Nigel
The exact same thing is happening to me were you able to eventually get the apps you purchased its been about two days and the problem persists I have filed a support case with Google happening on two phones and a tablet ans the web market through a PC isn't working either. It seems to get stuck at authorizing the payment .

This was a big problem two weeks ago. I think the CheckROM guys figured out how to fix it. Their forum has a nice FAQ at the start. Have a look there. If that doesn't help then wade through the Rocket forum.

I don't know why but my Google account is asking me to repurchase the apps I already purchased. I had no problems installing them again on X2 but now suddenly the Unlocker for most apps are not recognized They have turned to Trial apps again. They were working fine all this time. Is there a fix for it? I removed my Google account and added it again but no difference. I hate this make-shift workaround of adding Google services to the Nokia X2. It's frustrating. Maybe I should just get a proper Android phone. Anyone else faced this same issue or has a fix?
Edit: Never mind, I restored Google play store after a reboot and added my account again and synced. It's all good now. Premium apps are back.
this will be helpfull

Hi,
Is anyone else having issues installing the prime photos app, the Amazon drive app and the Amazon Alexa app from the play store? I have trieda few times and keep getting an error code '505'.
I have also tried to install the Amazon app store to see if I can install them from there, but the app fails to install also despite unknown sources being enabled for Chrome and files.
If anyone can shed any light on this I'd appreciate it.
Cheers!
Same here
I'm having exactly the same problem. I'm unable to install Amazon Prime from the app store and updates to the preinstalled Amazon apps also fail. I've tried reaching out to Huawei, but haven't had a response yet.

I've just deleted the pre-installed Amazon apps and downloaded them again and all working now. Must have been an issue in the original download.
What's about shopping app?
Play store says it's not compatible
Same
Exactly the same as with the other apps. I deleted the shopping app and reinstalled it as new from the play store and it worked. Haven't been any updates since, so don't know whether it will update ok in the future or whether will need to reinstall everytime.

Too bad I had no preinstalled Amazon apps.
As workaround, I have installed the apk from apkmirror
Thank you - I was having this issue and uninstalling the Amazon shopping app that came pre installed (and also wouldn't update via play store) and then reinstalling it did the trick!
I've got exactly the same problem as nrdmtt. I uninstalled the Amazon Shopping app to try and fix Amazon apps not installing or updating, and now the Play Store says it's not compatible with my phone. Derp.

Same problem, Amazon shopping says it isn't compatible with my phone. All other Amazon apps won't install, 505 error. Can't sideload, same error.
The weird thing is that when I got the phone I copied all settings and apps from my Samsung S7 edge via Huawei smart clone. All the amazon apps worked but prime video was SD not HD. Saw other people with the same problem that said deleting and reinstalling fixed it. I tried this and then couldn't reinstall, so the next suggestion was to remove all amazon apps and reinstall. Wish I'd never tried as no Amazon apps will reinstall, tried all documented fixes and also reformatted the cache partition. Also noticed the play store via web browser shows the prime video app as already installed on my P20 Pro.
I'm not factory resetting my phone as this doesn't always resolve it so will just do without any amazon apps for now. I'm now on the 110 firmware, C782 UK O2 and still the same. Amazon and Huawei are looking into it but haven't heard from them for a while now.
So after I uninstalled the Amazon Shopping app I've been able to successfully install Amazon Music. I've not tried any of the others as I don't use them.
I'm guessing we'll have to wait for an update from Amazon.

Ok so I just sideloaded the Amazon Shopping app. It's the latest build from May 31st labelled version 16.10.0.100. It installed fine and other Amazon apps install as well. Tested with Kindle installed from the Play Store.

Uninstalled all my amazon apps, but now none will reinstall when attempted from Play store. Now have no amazon apps on phone pigged off right now. Really need to get this sorted. I am going to get onto Huawei tech support and log this with them too, hopefully the more that do will force a correction. Will have to revert to my old Samsung S7 to watch Prime video and listen to music on my travels now.

I had the same issue, I removed all amazon apps and none of them would reinstall, just got the 505 error and Amazon and Huawei couldn't help.
Recently I managed to resolve it, follow these steps, it may work for you too:-
1. Go to settings
2. Apps & notifications
3. Select Apps
4. Tap the settings gear at the bottom
5. Select App links
6. Here I saw the Amazon shopping app listed (even though it had been uninstalled and didn't appear anywhere else) Your phone may show a different amazon app
7. Tap the Amazon app
8. Tap the app logo/text at the top of the screen
9. Now there's an option to uninstall, uninstall the app and now you should be able to install most amazon apps.
Now I can install any amazon app except the shopping app as the Play store says my phone isn't compatible, so I sideloaded instead and it works fine. It looks as though sometimes the apps may not uninstall completely which obviously causes issues. I haven't seen any 505 errors since.
Hope that helps.

You are wonderful, worked a treat. So happy to have apps back as now means when I take my mother on an 8 hour crossing of the Irish Sea, I can stick on my headphones and watch a movie instead!
for me amazon prime video came pre-installed on my p20 pro and has got latest updates.

Pleased it worked and thanks for the update! I went almost 3 months without any amazon apps so was happy when I figured this out.
I've passed the solution on to Huawei because I think a few are having the same issue.
yeh I can't get the latest update to amazon shopping as now says not supported for any of my huawei devices
Amazon Shopping App issues
I was having same issues, couldn't even find Amazon shopping app from my P20 Pro on Google Play and on my laptop was getting "No eligible devices for app install".
Have however managed to install from the Huawei AppGallery on my phone. All the writing is in Chinese in the AppGallery but once installed and opened, it's all in English. I was able to sign in with my existing amazon account and it lists an outstanding order that I'd just made from my laptop. All seems well. YNWA.

Great advice thanks - I had the same problem, which your solution seems to have solved
None of the above solutions work for me. Amazon App Store won't open, the rest of Amazon apps work fine.
Yesterday I updated to Oreo as the ZTE Axon M update service showed a new update available. On update Google Play would no longer launch and Play Services was not functioning. The Google Application services were pre-installed on the phone when purchased and shipped from AliExpress.
I figured I would reset the phone and on reset all Google functionality was removed.
I figured I would simply install the GAPPS services again and followed this thread:
https://android.gadgethacks.com/how...-store-without-gapps-google-services-0176241/
However once everything installs and I launch the Play Store I get a white blank screen.
I would have expected to be prompted for the Google Account login screen and if I check Accounts from settings I can see that there is a Google Account listed but not configured and if I click it I am told to add the account from the relevant app. There is no other shortcut installed though other than Google Play Store which hangs as described previously.
I have tried various other ways to get this sorted out but the end result is the same, inability to add a google account and no way to launch the play store.
I considered YalpStore but its really not fit for purpose because anything that requires the Google Play Services framework will not run.
My phone is not rooted but it appears it does not need to be for GAPPS install functionality. I can see many threads that say this works without the need for rooting (and in any event there are no guides for rooting an Axon M).
My question is simply how do I the Google Play Store and Google Play Services to work on the ZTE Axon M with the Oreo update ? It is driving me nuts and I would never have proceeded with the update if I had realised it would simply be removed.
Same
I'm. Having the same problem I tryed everything

Did you try the same package used for the Xiaomi devices? I have to play on that (it's the rev 2).

I tried, same issue crashing
I tried multiple methods too, but to no avail.
I do suspect a possibility. The previous time when i managed to get my gapps working when i first got the Chinese set, i had to disable the "Mi-Assistant" App as that was the one preventing my Google Play Services from Auto-Running even though it was set to allow. This time, I can not even see Google Play Services in the Auto-Run Manager and while i tried to force stop and disable the "Mi-Assistant" App, it does not allow me to disable.
I hope this info can help provide some leads to an expert who would be able to help us get back our GApps running again.
Thanks.
I do agree... meanwhile take a look here: https://code.tutsplus.com/articles/10-alternative-android-app-stores--cms-20999
good morning I found the application with the google play store inside the play store zte. After several attempts I managed to install a heavy game (1.3 GB) as ADERA disabling all the Chinese apps, keeping the display always active, I only downloaded via wi-fi. So I managed to download it without problems (I do not know which of these changes worked). the application has a triangular design with central red, the word Google followed by two Chinese characters

yes oreo 8.1 axon m 6 / 128gb. If there is the possibility I can post images of the app. One thing the app inside contains the play store but the apps that you download do not appear on the home of the device but within the app itself
Sounds like an emulator to me.. Would be great if you could provide the images of the app. Any small information helps.
Btw, to all, i did manage to download a GApps installer which seemed promising, cause at least it went into the login page for Google Account. But then the error of requesting to update "Google Play Services" popped up again and again and everything went down the drain again. Will try further and hopefully will have good news.
I'm new on the forum you have to explain to me how to post the images. thank you
Dears... did you see that in the ZTE Store?

There is an application in the ZTE Market that installs a pseudo Google Play but it is sandboxed somehow and you have to launch this app to get access to your installs - feels very insecure to me - I just want a clean Google Play on the device
unfortunately for now it is the only solution I found. Otherwise you must use third-party app stores such as amazon, aptoide, etc.

I posted a link with a few of alternative stores (the best is to get the apk stand-alone ihmo) but if it is to follow that sandbox ways, as suggest, create a new "junky" account just to have it registered.
Any Update??!!
When doing a factory reset, it asks about restoring apps, etc. I check yes.
Then it seems it's doing it again through Samsung when I login to Samsung during setup.
Are redundant restores happening? Should I should one and not the other?
Any thoughts?
Yes they are basically redundant. I do both to restore as much data as possible and save myself some effort setting everything back up.
I use both also, often feel I'm wasting time but who knows.

its all about freshness.
so appart from apps, one thing samsung offers that goofle dosent is if u use stock launcher, homescreen layout and wallpaper and aod get restored. same goes for keyboard and related custom data associated to it if you use stock input.
wifi and bluetooth pairings would also be restored too, not to mention alarms also.
So in essence if one believes their next device is going to be another Samsung then perhaps best disable most if not all of the Google backup and restore options? If anything perhaps more added battery life perhaps.

well knowing google, apps are tagged from the playstore as being installed.( app library vs installed).so backups arent done on/from your device. when restoring they check last device ID and match the associated installed app from your library.
anyways thats what i think. so all in all not sure if disabling it would help or not.
BUT again, its all about the freshness.
which service offers the very last apps you installed?
but one thing to rhink about is: samsung will restore google play and samsung store apps.
where as whit Google, i think would only restore playstore apps(since they just check playstore library associated to device ID).
I was also referring to other things Google also backup. Turning these off.

so this just in, samsung backup dosent restore app data where as google does. so this means apps are restored but none of the custom data)settings) is actually restored (like rooted people do with titanium backup).
edit i should mention that i was on android pie doing a backup using smart switch. it asked me where i wanted it and i chose my ext sd card. unpon flashing a new rom and setting it up, i used again smart switch to to restore this time, so i chose the sd card logo at the the top right of the screen and it took a while. so not sure how this backup /restore method differs from the regular samsung cloud ...but it did not restore app data. since it was local i am a bit flabbergasted by these findings. would have expected data since google restores it from the network and does include it....i wont try the other regular method via Samsung cloud since the space allotted is limited to around 10 or 15 gig.in comparison my local backup with smart switch took over 25 gb(got 400+ apps) so thats why im not expecting any better viaa regular cloud sync... but we never know. maybe someone with a smaller volume of content can offer some results.
oh and on the flip side, samsung restores more apps than googles does. i suspect it dosnt check for the playstore app signature and just blindly backups all user apps.. just a darn shame about the data part...(not user settings data like passwords and for wifi and bluetooth pairing but acctual applicaion data)
just wanted to share my findings with you guys
google play back will restore all apps downloaded from the play store but it will not restore any app downloaded from other sources like galaxy apps or aptoide
samsung backup and restores all the apps that are installed on your devices regardless of where it came from
so usually i will let google restore my apps so that i will get the latest apps from the store then i will restore from samsung cloud to get the extra apps i installed from other sources plus my apps folders
