Hi, I bought my new Nexus one in the US when I was on holiday, now as it is in the uk, does this mean I have no warranty? I'm thinking to rooting my phone and without a warranty, I MIGHT unlock the bootloader...
you still have warranty but you probably need to go through the US division.
So if it does break i'm stuck? But I could try sending it to HTC UK and see what they say...

After thinking about it, even if I do have a warranty in the US and not here in the UK, I might as well void it as it would be too problematic for me sending it back...
Just shoot off a quick email to HTC UK. Or phone them even. You'll get your true answer then

Thats exactly what I did, what a good idea
So I tossed an e-mail to HTC, where they asked me for my serial number..
I gave them it and they got back to me saying I have warranty for 2 years, hooray?
As this now means that im gonna have to wait to unlocking the bootloader?
Maybe i'll just unlock it after one year or when I just have a "oh, *** it" moment
A friend of mine lost his sensation XL and phoned up his phone company to have the phone locked, after doing this he found his phone ... is there any way to un-bar the phone quickly? The bootloader is already unlocked im wondering if flashing a custom ROM onto the phone would work .. although i doubt that, Does anyone know a quick easy method to unbar/unblock the phone?
Thanks in advance.

If he has reported it stolen and received a replacement/refund. The phone is now owned by the insurance company and any attempt to unbar it is fraud. If he hasnt received a replacement, he can unbar it by calling his network provider.

Hi guys
I have a black Australian unlocked Telstra HTC One, but there is no sign of any OTA's from Telstra any time soon...
I am wanting to flash a WWE RUU on to it so that I am not carrier restricted
Am I able to flash an Asian WWE RUU over the Telstra one? Has anyone done this yet?
I'm not exactly experienced in the world of Android HTC and their various flashing methods, but would flashing via the RUU be any different to rooting your phone and flashing another custom or stock ROM?
I only say this because my Telstra HTC One was rooted after I bought it and it is now running a custom ROM flashed via CWM recovery and no longer has any Telstra branding.
Edit: I now understand where you are coming from now. I wouldn't have thought you could flash an original ROM based on another phone CID and I can't imagine being able to change your CID without first unlocking the bootloader which kind of defeats the original purpose as you'll end up with a "tampered" phone one way or another.
You can do it but you'll need to change your CID to match the RUU you're going to run.
I'm not sure if you're able to do this with only boatloader unlock any more.

Dang... Oh well, I'll see if I like the HTC1 first, then decide on grabbing a black one from Expansys or Kogan when they have the international unbranded quickly updated versions.. Waiting for updates from Telstra is like men having babies - not happening anytime soon
any luck?

hey man, any luck finding a HTC One Telstra RUU yet? I'm in the same boat. ive been waiting 6 months and still no RUU, been emailing and calling HTC loads and nobody is bothering to help or care. I dont need the RUU, but its good to have just in case.
The only decent piece of info ive managed to get was about HTC Australia authorized repair center.
So basically the company that do repairs in Aus are FoneBiz. They told me today when i called them, that even if you have rooted/unlocked bootloader etc, they will try their best to do an In-Warranty service, but if their system wont recognize the phone, then it'll be an Out of Warranty service.
The Good news is that since the HTC One is pretty much unrepairable, as far as being able to actually get into the handset, is that FoneBiz will just do a full handset replacement. In-Warranty its obviously free, but Out of Warranty is only around $280. So essentially you get a brand new HTC One for less than $300.
So anyone with a Telstra handset who has broken/bricked HTC One, at least you know you can get a brand new replacement for under $300, possibly even free!

Hi. Sorry about my English...
In the past I've send an HTC one x to service because of a fault camera too. The phone was SIM unlocked with code. Was from att. The phone was repaired and send it back to me. But the phone was received with different imei and locked again to att. So I had to unlock again but was difficult to find the code because was a recent code. Even in att told me that they didn't have registered that imei. Finally get the code after looking various sites but was difficult. In some sites told me that my phone was refurbished....don't know..May be they replaced the motherboard..
Now I have an HTC one with purple camera an want to send it to warranty..
My question is that if have received your phone with the same imei. And specially for those who have unlocked phone... Do you received your Phone relocked again? I'm worry about thath because the law in US that makes difficult to unlock the phones without carrier complaints....
Thanks a lot...

I have got HTC Unlocked International Edition (32 GB) from htc.com/us/
My htc one have camera purple.
Where can I fix my htc one in USA ?
thanks
Are you wanting to have it fixed under warranty? If so you have to contact HTC and have it sent to them.
Are you wanting to have anybody fix it? If so you might try a google search for places that fix HTC phones in your local area.
