And in this menu i find how to show status and enable HD Voice

Setting>Protocol
AS>AMR control

What does the service menu give you access to and would the HD voice method work for any variant of the phone?

Does entering the service menu void the warranty on these phones? (As in, is there some kind of counter that trips when you enter the menu?)

Nope, don't worry.
If you have ROOT, here is another easy way to enter Service Menu:
Install Phone INFO ★Samsung★ app > Menu > 'Secret Codes' > scroll down to *#27663368378# > tap 'Launch 0'. That will open the Service Main Menu.
Do the same for *#197328640#. That will open the Debug Screen.
You can even create a shortcuts for these secret codes for easy access later: install Shortcut Master app > Menu > 'Secret Codes' > select secret code (e.g *#0011#) > Favorite.

I'd like to know the same. I'm on AT&T and they're are suppose to launch their HD service in my area. What does UTMS stand for?
So is hd voice working on exynos version? Mine is not having hd voice even after activating it. Its activated on wcdma and gsm. I compared to my note 3 which has a working hd voice, amr is set on umts.
Sent from my SM-N910C using Tapatalk
hm weird, i remembered seeing HD on my dialer screen during a phone call sometime ago but now i can't see it anymore
I have never seen HD appear on note 3 or 4 but with snapdragon version I can clearly hear when a call is HD and it is definitely working.
Sent from my SM-N910F using Tapatalk
My note 3 is snapdragon and it definitely works I compared the settings on the 2 phones, on snapdragon instead of showing cdma on the status page, its enable on umts. Refer screen shots
Edit: screen shots showing note 4 910C

Yeah, that's what I figured after about an hour of searching around for a solution. Thanks for the confirmation though. I'd rather keep Samsung Pay if it comes down to it, but it's not like I even have a choice at this point with no root in sight at the moment...

No need to install an app to do this unless you just like tapping. Once you're rooted, you can edit your /system/csc/feature.xml file. (I use ES File Explorer -- you have to enable its root functionality after installing. Copied the file out to PC to do the edit using a good editor -- especially NOT Windows Notepad because it will mangle the CR/LF stuff -- then push the file back across. Make a backup of the original .xml file first!!!
Find this line and set the value in between the XML tags to be EMPTY (nothing there), like this:
Code:
<CscFeature_Wifi_ConfigWifiNotificationStyle></CscFeature_Wifi_ConfigWifiNotificationStyle>
Confirmed with my new AT&T S6 a few minutes ago -- "Wi-Fi Connected" banner is history.

You can do this by modifying the build.prop, need root, if you use vzw you will only get the att on the lock screen, but your lock screen audible notifications no longer work and the auto lock screen is disabled, if you use tmobile you will get sfinder and quick connect. ATT is not different than euc, both behave the same. your best bet is using vzw but keep in mind what I listed above. Also you can use LTE icons if you want by changing a line in feature.xml

That hides it on the home screen and apps but not on the lock screen. Can I leave it blank to do that?
Without xposed there is no way to fully customize it the way you want the currently there is only a beta version for arm64 which is boot looping and not ready for prime time. I don't think it will matter if you leave it blank unfortunately, I have not tried that but you are welcome to give it a shot and report back.

Great! Cheers for that. Managed to get 59k. But the funny thing is that the app is just a workaround as the option is still missing from the settings, I reckon they have done this so the 810 doesn't overheat.

I am having issues with the touch sensitivity of the note 5. The screen and capacitive buttons (back and recent apps) are simply TOO sensitive.
is there a way to disable these buttons in games or rather bring down the sensitivity down a bit?
for example when I am playing a game this i have to hold my phone in landscape mode. my thumb would always sometimes touch the "recent apps" button and it will bring me out of the game.

Im not sure of a way to turn down sensitivity. Probably a way to disable them with root. But I would suggest if you don't want to have issues during a game or something, just pin your current app from the recent apps list. Accidentally hitting any of the 3 button buttons won't do anything.

Do you have Facebook messenger opened with a chat going? Or perhaps another app like that? I always have to remove the "chat head" from my screen when I get that message.
when I get it, I usually jump to settings, app permissions and setting the permission there. That almost always works.
Same anoying thing here. I had to Disable everything to make other apps work. I even had to change the message app to get around this issue. Hope so done finds a solutio. For that annoying issue

Is this what you mean by screen overlay? Everytime I get a notification while my screens on it's hidden in the background, only a portion of it pops up until at the very end it pops up but then it disappears and I can't even read it.

i dont think you can. You also cant turn screen off with it anymore without root (unless you PIN back in)
Go into the security settings, iirc the very bottom should have a toggle regarding screen overlay warnings
There is probably just one or two of the apps you have to disable. I have an app called swipepad that is always accessible by swiping the sides of my phone from any screen. When I turn this one off, I'm able to confirm app permissions. Super annoying though, as I then have to give swipepad overlay permissions again after the fact. You can get back to this settings menu by going to settings - applications - menu button - apps that can appear on top.

Nope. Happens on my Nvidia shield tablet now too after updating to the latest marshmallow. It's a MM thing. For now I stopped using swipepad and using the built in apps edge instead. You will have to do the same with whatever app is causing your issue if you want the problem gone permanently. Or wait for root.

Thinking about you this, I didn't realize why I was getting this prompt regardless of disabling all the apps with permission.
But I use the Edge panel, I will try disabling next time I get this prompt; should take care of it.

Scroll down until you see "ims settings" it has a purple icon
Scroll down to "ims launcher activity" and hit launch
Select "ims service switch"
Then make sure everything in that menu is checked on.
Go to dialer and you'll bow see the video call icon on the lower left next to the phone button
Only tested this on t mobile FYI,
Click to collapse
