[Q] [HELP] Boot loader locking failed in XT1068 - G 2014 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello
i flashed Lollipop by ffosilve (HERE) and i revet back to my original firmware but i didnt locked the boot loader .. coz if i proceed the steps after ( mfastboot.exe oem lock begin ) then error comes like image verificaion failed:crying::crying::crying: ... so i flashed with fastboot without proceeding boot loader lock.......:crying::crying::crying:
Can any one guide me to relock my bootloader ????
Thanks in advance :fingers-crossed:

You can relock you bootloader only with same or newest signed official rom image
Latest version is 21.11.27 for international xt1068 variant
http://www.filefactory.com/file/2rk...XT1068_4.4.4_KXB21.85-27_cid7_CFC_SVC.xml.zip
Sent from my XT1068 using XDA Free mobile app

I wonder, can I flash RETAILDSDALL_XT1068 to originally RETGBALL_XT1068 device? Device model XT1068 but the firmware is region specific. Are all XT1068 the same and region firmwares interchangeable?
Simply put - is reflashing RETALL <-> RETGB <-> RETDE <-> ... safe?

From Lolipop downgrade to Kit Kat (XT1068)

Hello guys. I have a problem to downgrade from Lolipop to Kit Kat stock firmware. I use this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g-2014/general/how-to-install-lollipop-xt1068-xt1069-t2941349 upgrade to Lolipop. I decide to downgrade to stock firmware Kit Kat. I've been following this link to downgrade http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g-2014/general/restore-to-stock-t2873657 but then it says " failed validate image " or something. I use XT1068. I've been try this RETAILDSDSALL_XT1068_4.4.4_KXB21.85-14_cid7_CFC_SVC.xml firmware and this RETAILDSDSALL_XT1068_4.4.4_KXB21.85-27_cid7_CFC_SVC.xml but fail to sucseed. BTW, I live in Malaysia. If you guys found a specific stock firmware Kit Kat link to me, I'm glad you guys help to help me. TQ.
I had this problem with mine I have a UK xt1068 as my boot loader is unlocked it seems to be when you do fastboot OEM lock it fails to validate the image so if you skip the fastboot OEM lock command it should hopefully go back to KitKat hope this makes sense

it works man! TQ! phewwwww! last question. how to relocked the bootloader?
I don't know as I haven't relocked it I will try and see if I can lock it using the stock firmware for my required phone
UPDATE I tried to relock the bootloader using the original stock firmware but it was unsuccessful

Nothing works for me though!
I tried everything. Skipped the command, tried to flash 5.0.2 XT1068 boot.img and recovery, img but none of them fail, All I get is some sort of error - "Preflash Validation Failed" "Failed to erase partition" . . . .
Bootloader also shows Device is Unlocked but I don't get the "warning device is unlocked" message. Strange isn't it?
Any help?

Very sorry but the exact same errors persist. I can't understand the problem first, seems like a corrupt bootloader that won't accept anything. Nor am I sure the bootloader is unlocked. I don't get the warning message but my bootloader says it is.
Thanks for your time in any case!
xt1068 kitkat rom is not loading in my phone
i tried moreless all roms but still my phone on 5.0.2
plz help

Installing Stock Lollipop

Hi, I have a Global GSM XT1063, I don't have the Lollipop OTA yet, How Can I flash lollipop? through ADB maybe? Any Image??
Bootloader is locked and as the phone is not mine I do not want to change that, Is there any solution without wiping data?
No.
You have to unlock the bootloader as the first step and that will wipe data too.
I don't know any way without changing something.

The link goes to Blur_Version.21.11.17.titan_retuglb.retuglb.en.US.zip and 21.11.17 is a Kitkat-firmware.
edit: Sry,there seems to be android firmware with that number:
Yes, he is sure because the filename naming scheme used by Motorola automatically renames any update to the name of the firmware currently installed.
KennyWuLee, had 21.11.17 installed while he downloaded the update and that is why the filename is "Blur_Version.21.11.17.titan_retuglb.retuglb.en.US .zip"
(found in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g-2014/general/ota-moto-g-2014-xt1063-v22-11-6-android-t2939881)
It´s original OTA and so it should be flashable through stock recovery with locked bootloader.

Well, it gave this error and I don't have any idea what it says...
I think it's because you are on Build KXB 21.85.23 or 21 and the OTA is for updating KXB 21.85.17.So you would have to downgrade your firmware first but that is not possible without unlocking the bootloader and installing a custom recovery which means you'll lose the phones data. You can backup before downgrading but I think all that means to make more changes to the phone as you wanted to do.

To unlock the boot loader you need the original firmware that your phone has it. I haven't seen any XT1092 image so far.

My bad, I mean TO LOCK the boot loader you need the original firmware it means that you can't lock even if you flash an entire system of a different version unless you have the stock of you model, the one who cames out of the box.

That's because the firmware you downloaded IS NOT the one for your region. The only way to fix it is to unlock the bootloader and then flash 6.0 again.
I guess you can't downgrade to 5.0.2 since your bootloader is already updated to 48.86 which is meant for 6.0.
