So my brand new note 4 from Tmobo has been making phone calls on its own after I hit the power button.....
Sounds like you installed something nasty.
It's brand new. I think it might be some sort of malfunction. It doesn't happen all the time.
Just sometimes when I hit the power button.
Reboot the phone. Try pulling the SIM and battery. Wait a few minutes, put the phone back together and use it. If you still have problems, call T-Mobile.

Good grief! Where is it calling? Contacts in your phone? If the reboot and SIM card removal don't work, the rep at the T-Mobile store told me to call 611 on an unrelated problem, but it'd be worth a try for your to contact them. If that doesn't fix it, you probably did catch something nasty and may need the store to do a master reset...
Mine is doing something similar, only when I reboot. I've deleted the calls but it's a 1212#####, or something like that.

Phone Fault or his Sim??
If you know how to fix this please help
Do you have the phone in hand? Do you know the history of the phone (water, drop, lightning, etc)? There are really many possibilities, maybe he just put the wrong sim card in...

Its on ebay so the seller has it. 99.1 feedback rating.
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Samsung-Galax..._Phones_ET&hash=item25646ab78b#ht_9620wt_1139
Thats the ebay link
Or corrupt imei or blocked imei
You still can't know if it is fixable unless you buy it and try and fix it, even if the seller has a good feedback rating, it isn't going to be depict whether you can fix it or not. So really it's up to you, it could be as simple as a new sim card, flashing a new modem or rom etc, or it may be unfixable and left with a Galaxy S portable music player. I would have a good search around for others who have had this issue and see what fixed it.
No gaurantees obviously (as previously stated, impossible to know what's wrong if you don't actually have the phone), but check this out: http://www.fixandsave.co.uk/index.p...00-no-signal-fix&catid=173:samsung&Itemid=254

When my revo turns on it talks and says loss of service and then seconds later the voice comes again and says Verizon wireless. As well as when I make a phone call. Before it goes through the voice says Verizon wireless and then begins to ring. Anyone else have this happening or know how to fix it? I'm not on any custom roms nor have I rooted this phone yet.
Mine did that for one whole day about 2 months ago then stopped. Don't know why though.

Any idea what you might have done to stop it. Its been doing it for a few days and its making me a little crazy
I got into the house today, after a long day at work. Decided I'll put my phone on charge. I'm that type of guy that likes his phone to always be towardsthe 90% when it comes battery, barely happens though . So I left it on charge whilst I went into the shower. I came out, and I tried entering my password, which was the "pattern lock." I would press the power button to do so, and a few times, the screen turned around. So I tried entering it, and it wouldn't take no feedback. So, I locked it again, by the use of the silver power button, and this time it came up the right way round, thankfully. When I entered my pin again, it took the feedback but didn't progress. I recently got this phone, and it's been a few weeks since I've made the purchase. As it clearly seems, it wouldn't unlock, so I decided to switch my phone on and off. Guess what?
The phone was fricking on the "Please wait, Shutting Down" notification. So I waited and waited till I got fed up. It lasted around an hour. I was really furious, and was about to call my carrier service (Orange/EE) when it was pointed out to me they'll end up giving you a refurbished model rather than a brand new one. I looked up on the internet, and it wasn't anywhere. At this point I tried the solutions of PRESSING THE RED BUTTON NEXT TO THE SIM CARD TRAY or PRESSING THE VOLUME DOWN AND POWER BUTTON TOGETHER. Those simply didn;'t work. I couldn't even boot into safe mode on my phone. So I went on the PC in order to Restore my phone. Maybe that was the last hope. As soon as I plugged the phone into the PC, via the cable, the phone finally reboots and works.
Right now, I'm worried, that this may occur in the future. I hope it doesn't because maybe next time this fix may not work. That's the worry. So, could someone kindly explain to me what exactly happened? Please?
-Haleem.
I honestly have no idea what exactly happend to your phone, and I doubt anyone does. From my experience the current Z1 firmware isn't the most stable though. I've had a few times where my phone would randomly freeze while I was using the phone. What always worked for me was get a paperclip out and press & HOLD the red button next to the sim tray until you feel a few vibrations. (3 iirc) Then I turn the phone on and everything is fine again.
It's no workaround but if I were you I wouldn't worry too much. Just wait until Sony brings out the 4.3 or 4.4 update and hope they fixed the problems. Until then, keep a paperclip in your pocket.
Always press the red button, i call it emergency button or redboot, whatever...when it comes to that matter.haha! B1nny is right maybe it's about the firmware...firmware mulfunction sometimes..
sent from future!
Volume up and power does the same thing without the need for a paperclip to be on hand

I know Sony's international policy states that they could replace your phone under warranty with a refurbished one or that they could use second hand materials to repair your phone, but in my country that kind of policy is forbidden. The law in my country says that all the repairs must be done using new materials or the device must be replaced with a brand new one.
p.s. - also, the legal warranty term in my country is 2 years, though Sony's policy states 1 year warranty.

Thanks for the advice. And thanks to everyone else too. 4.3 should bre released this month, if everything goes well, for the Z, Z ULTRA and Z1. Not sure about other devices, however in January we should see the release of KitKat, which I'm looking forward to seeing.#
PS. With the Red Button, I pressed it but nothing happened. I probably didn't push it all the way, or didn't hold it down long enough. I just pressed it once, and then left it.

That's good to know! Here, I'm not sure what materials they use to fix the phone, however I do know for sure they don't give you a brand new phone. That sucks. Where you from btw?
What makes you say January for kit kat, Sony have said no such thing, just that kit kat had been promised with no eta
Sent from my C6903 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Yeah, it wouldn't make much sense at all to release kitkat in January and 4.3 in December. It's just 4 weeks in between and if everybody knew that 4.4 is coming so soon, hardly anyone would go through the hassle of updating and then again. At least I wouldn't and wait until 4.4.
Therefore, Sony will either release 4.4. straight away or later and skip 4.3 or release 4.3 in December and 4.4. in March or something. I assume the latter will be the case.

On most roms I am to get the half screen problem, and I was wondering if there is something I can do to prevent it.
According to T-Mobile it is a know problem. Got my replacement on order. I had the problem happen before I even rooted the phone. Seems to have gotten worse over time for me though and that's why I called to have it replaced. If your having the problem I totally recommend the same to you. I will say after trying chroma I think it has gotten more frequent even after loading up my light rom backup. I can't blame it on anything other then bad hardware though cause like I said it happened before I rooted a week into having the phone.
Hardware issue, replace it

Yeah I had the issue before I rooted as well. Lol I had called tmobile for the replacement 5 min before reading this and they are sending me a replacement device. Thanks for responding though!
When to you guys called it in, do you get the normal "factory reset" troubleshooting, or do they know that this issue is random and just send a replacement? I get the issue with certain kernels, and not with others and am wondering if I should call it in.

Hey Guys,
I really need your help on this. Last week my G4 out of no where just shuts off and never came back on. I tried removing and putting it back but it just vibrates for about 20-30 secs and stops. I called T-Mobile and they sent me a replacement. The replacement keeps rebooting randomly and the screen flickers. I called T-Mobile and they said it could be the battery, so they're going to send me a new one. So do you guys think it's the phone or the battery? I'm thinking I should pay $140 to jump. What do you guys think?
Seems like people are having trouble with certain G4 suddenly died... something about a faulty motherboard

Mine phone did something similar and they had to replace the phone. A week or so ago it just shut off when I was using it, wouldn't come back on. After pulling the battery I could get it power on but it would shut off shortly after. It finally stopped coming on altogether. I called T-Mobile and they sent out a replacement.
Yesterday my phone reboot randomly a couple of times then the last time it did not come back. It would not power on at all. I tried the button combo to get it into download mode and nothing. I did notice that it would appear as a USB TTY device when connected to my computer. I tried using picocom to troubleshoot it but all it kept doing was spitting back junk. I took it to a T-Mobile store and they confirmed that it was dead. T-Mobile is sending me a replacement. I have no idea what caused it.
The manufacture date was June 2015. Maybe it would be helpful if we tracked that as these phones experience these sort of issues?
I received my new battery and the problem still exist. They're sending me another replacement phone. Is there a lemon law? This is just ridiculous...
Just got my 2nd replacement. Same ****ty problem. Just got off the phone with T-Mobile and they're going to be upgrading me to an S6. Good luck to everyone else that has this problem.

A replacement with the same issue out the box? That's weird

I'm assuming you're saying "out the box"
Yes.
I also told the rep that I didn't feel comfortable going through the holidays with an unreliable phone and they helped me by waiving my required jump balance and allowed me to JUMP. I decided to go with the S6 since there aren't any other worthy Android phones on T-Mobiles line up. I mean the Note is just too big and the edge is too much.
Samething happened to me last week.
