PLEASE HELP, Computer is not recognizing my Galaxy S

Just got my phone into download mode after using the jig, and i have been able to connect to my pc before i seriously F'd my phone by messing with a setting in cwm. I have downloaded and redownloaded drivers from samsungs website, along with installing Kies and that does not recognize my phone. (also i would like to add i am unable to access the phone since it wont turn on without the jig, without jig it just goes into a boot loop.)
THis is what happens when i plug my phone into the computer:
plug in usb (to computer and phone)
let it do its thing to recognize device...
pop-up stating "unknown device" so i click it.
then right-click the unknown device which opens up another window
from this menu it shows Install driver, Update driver and 3 other options.
when i press install driver and update driver, it tells me that the driver is already installed in "device unknown."
At this point i throw computer at wall after 2 days of trying to figure this out.

so messed around and the problem only happens when it is in download mode. but when it is not in download mode it shows up but no use to me because i am trying to flash it to stock. soo i dont know why the error 43 only shows up when in download mode. any help would be great.

Just follow this to update the drivers http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=27205737&postcount=4571 , same thing as what you have done earlier but this time , when it searches for new drivers, you can do the selection for it.
But first reboot your PC after pulling out power cord ...and try the quick solutions first

Ok sen, so i tried to install the driver manually but i am stuck at the part where i have to install something on my phone to allow it to sync with the computer, since my phone will not even boot up. I am starting to think my dear Capi is going to be a paper weight =(

when i connect my phone with USB to PC.

i try it by factory reseting the phone..
but still it was not working..

Reinstall the driver

Downlod the latest drivers..
And also factory reset it many times..
But can able to connect to my pc or other pc.
I tried different cable but not working. ..

Probably a hardware problem then....
I have had the same problem for a few weeks now. It started to fail occasionally and right now the usb won't work unless you reboot the phone. If i'm running out of battery, i must connect the charger and reboot for the phone to charge. And when the phone is charged, if I unplug the charger, the phone thinks it's still connected.... that is until you reboot again. It's a pain in the ass because also the phone wont go to deep sleep (ab8500 charger attached wakelock is keeping it awake at all times).
I was waiting for mi carrier (Movistar, Argentina) to update to Jelly Bean so i wouldn't need to downgrade (as i read some people experience CSC problems when downgrading) but I'm starting to grow impatient...

update failed

Hiya
I have tried to do an update to mu phone via the sony companion app, it downloaded the software and then turned off my phone after about 15 minuets it came up with an error(100) make sure you have a network connection and said try again, i left my phone plugged in and it now ill not do anything it keeps turning its self back on saying "the updated failed make sure the phone is connected to the computer and try again".
any ideas what i can try ?

[Q] Help With Flash Mode in Z1 c6902

I had downgraded my phone from the latest update to .638 to root my phone and i lost my imei number, so my phone no longer read my SIM. So i rooted my phone using Vroot and downloaded .108 Firmware to Update back to a newer version . But now my phone no longer goes to flash mode. whenever i try connecting my phone with the usb and volume down button , the phone starts charging . the phone boots up and shows the amout of charge left. i did try with full charge :|
Please Help :/
It did work properly before, and usb debugging is on and unknown sources too. and the device is connected in MSC and SD is removed ^_^ and all proper drivers are installed too

had this problem a few day ago too. For me this works: with a disconnected device, choose the ftf ypu wanna flash. then wait until flashtool says "waiting for flashmode. then make shure your phone is turned off and then when it is switched pff, wait 10 seconds. then connect the cable to the phone. NOW press volume down and connect the other end of the cable to the pc.
now it will work i think

[Q] Several problems after tried downgrade

Hi there,
I have some problems after I tried to downgrade my Sony Xperia Z3C from Android 5.0.2 to 4.4.4.
I hope you can help me. I searched some hours now and tried to fix it myself, but nothing helped.
Now the problem: The phone does not boot. I get following message: "the software update failed make sure that your phone is connected to the computer and try again".
So far so bad. Then I tried to put the downloaded firmware via Flashtools on the device. But the problem is, that my device disconnects every minute and after some seconds it connects again and so on. So I do not have a constant connection to load the firmware on the phone. In another thread I have read, that maybe the drivers could be the problem, but I installed the Flashmode drivers and Fastboot drivers.
Another problem is, that the hard-reset does not work. Not with vol+ and power and not with the yellow button next sim-card.
I really need help. Thank you and Kind Regards.

Is the USB port in your PC clean? I once had USB connection issues, and turned out that the USB port was all clogged up with dust. :silly:
Also, try unplugging all other non-essential USB devices before flashing and turn off anti-virus because you never know...
