Tasker or similar apps - Nexus 6 Themes and Apps

Hey everyone. Anyone here use Tasker or any similar app. If so so what are your favorite profiles or things to do with them?

If your dont have aftermarket kernel, I often use tasker to drop the max frequency to half during screen off!

I use tasker all the time. I use it to enable autorotation when the camera or youtube is open, logging GPS data, and reading my messages aloud when I'm driving or have headphones plugged in. I also used on my previous phone it to display CPU temperature on screen when I used miracast (the phone would get up to 85 C and shut down if I didn't keep it on ice).

I user tasker for:
Screen off WiFi control
Turning off unconnected Bluetooth
Time based brightness
No signal airplane mode toggle
A "where are you" text responder
2G at home on WiFi
and
LTE off at screen off
Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk

Hotspot
Has anyone been able to get tasker to turn the hotspot (Tether) on and off with lollipop?
---------- Post added at 11:19 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:09 AM ----------
I use tasker for automating my car dock
Car dock
Turn audio up
Turn off wifi
Turn up display brightness
Launch Waze
Also geo fence when at work to turn down audio

Out of curiosity, what was the input task you did for 2G at home on Wifi in Tasker?

What I would do is to install Secure Settings and then:
State - WiFi connected (set SSID if you want)
Task - Plugin > select Secure Settings and select 2G data
Exit task - Plugin > select Secure Settings and select 3G data

Great thread! I found some good ideas. Would like to hear from more people.

home wifi on/off
get weather underground data for uccw
bt or wired headset connected(set volume levels)
time based, turn LED notification for charging off/on
voice battery level announce, 50,40,30,20,10 pct
led notification for charging at boot
set selinux to permissive at boot
screen off in pocket(proximity sensor and orientation, with a little 100ms vibrate for confirmation
planning to do cpu/batt/gpu temperatures as well...soon as I figure out what sensors belong to what in my N6 of course

Before Lollipop, I used Tasker + Secure Settings to implement my own version of Trusted Places to disable pattern unlock.
Now, my new favorite thing is to use Tasker with Autovoice. Autovoice can hook into Google Now so you can perform voice command to trigger tasks. It's completely unnecessary, but now I'm able to control my Hue lights with "OK Google".

I use Llama.

Ok, what do you do with Llama?

I have 2 areas configured, home and office, based on mobile cell sites.
Based on my location, I have configured Llama to control my WiFi, autosync, mobile data and various volumes (alarm, and ringer).

I use it to do several things when I get my call for work. Work will text me with my on duty time, and off of that, tasker will read the text aloud, open the webpage to accept my call, make a calendar entry with my on duty time (so my wife will know when I went on duty in the middle of the night), then set an alarm for one hour and fifteen minutes in case I fall back asleep (I get a two hour call, but hey, I sometimes don't get right up )

Okay so this is the coolest and most useful use of Tasker I've ever seen.

Thanks! I had a chance to test it out, and it worked fantastic. Using multiple variables that are split from a sms works awesome. I use four variables that are all created from that one sms message. I also have it set up to disable wifi when it connects to my cars bluetooth, then, when it disconnects from my cars bluetooth, it turns wifi on, check against a variable to see if it connected to my home wifi, and then will shut it off again if it didn't. I just got my Nexus 6 a few weeks ago, and am in the process off setting up all my tasks again fro my Moto x.

I prefer llama. Much better learning curve for making tasks work.
switches wifi on when i get home or to a known wifi location and off when i leave, switches to silent when i reach work or the cinema, switches bluetooth on when charging in the car, starts music when connected to bluetooth headset....

Great ideas in here keep them coming.

Profile Uploads
Perhaps some of you better versed in using Tasker could upload some profiles? I've tried using the wiki for a few tasks but, for some other things I can't seem to get it figured out.

I use tasker for a couple of things.
I have a sleep profile that turns off auto-sync and bt while I sleep then turns back on at a certain time. I think i have this one set from 10:45pm-6:30am mon-thurs
Work profile that turns off wifi, bt and puts my phone on silent, which now is vibrate (dont like) then turns that back on after work.
would like to do some others but idk what yet.
might give this Llama a try tho.

Days on HSPA+ but hours on WiFi...

Nexus WiFi/3G:
I have searched but haven't found an answer in regard to the Nexus 7... I can go for days on battery power when Wi-Fi is off; the moment I turn on Wi-Fi - the battery lasts half a day under normal usage (at best),,
Any thoughts on the matter would be greatly appreciated.
Turn wifi off? haha !!!
No sorry, you tried Tasker
Set it to turn wifi on with screen on, wifi off with screen off ?
I would think that HSPA+ would use more power than Wi-Fi - could this be a part of the google location service bug under Jelly Bean?

Either that or very extensive syncing tasks which occur only on wi-fi
While my 7 is WiFi only, I will say, contrary to most peoples reports of better battery life on WiFi, with my phone I have always gotten better results using mobile data. Though not that much of a difference.

Got my nexus 7 32 gb 3g, and i got to say on wifi i get a days life. On 3g i get 2 days a minimum. Still testing though.

Settings > Location Access > Untick Wifi & Mobile Network Location.
See if that helps, it doesn't really stop you doing anything with it off.
I get great life using WiFi on my phone and tablet. My WiFi advanced settings are shown below.
I would also suggest using BetterBatteryStats to track down what's using up your battery.

It's probably something to do with the amount of accounts you have configured and what data they sync from their servers to your device. Such apps refuse to sync on mobile data as they know the data they transfer is a very large amount.
Go into each app that you have configured with background updates and lower their refresh intervals. Or if its in account management, download Synker, activate the sync notification service, and watch what syncs in and out of your device at various times.
WiFi has always been this way on my phone. WiFi, unless you select to have it shut off with inactivity will keep connected, all the time, like if you had it connected via Bluetooth, I believe also iirc, WiFi prevents deep sleep since it is always running. I could be wrong but I remember with the phone it was that way
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
I was also initially under the impression that WiFi would use less power because it was shorter range. But I think I read somewhere that mobile data is actually less power-intensive.
Which explains why there's the option under WiFi advanced settings to have WiFi turn off when the screen is off. Although I didn't think the difference was that major...

I'm afraid that is wrong.
Wifi does not stop your device from going into a deep sleep. The only time it would is if there is a wakelock constantly accessing the wifi therefore the phone can't sleep, if that's the case use Better Battery Stats to find out which app is causing the wakelock.

Why tasker doesn't always work?

Hi
Often on my galaxy A5 2016 rooted I see that a task is active but it doesn't really active the function on my phone...
For example: I've a task to turn wifi on when I'm at home (based on location). Often the task is active (is green on tasker) but wifi isn't turned really on! Why this??

On my s8 I've had to turn on reliable alarms for when screen is of as I noticed that some profiles like turning Bluetooth on weren't working when the screen was off. Maybe that could help turning this on in the settings?

Go to preferences > monitor > Use reliable alarms. I have mine set for screen off
Location is not a reliable trigger (never was for me).
Try using variables. These are better.
For example.
I'm using 2 variables to CONFIRM I'm at home and trigger my home profile.
First... I use Cell near to verify the proximity and enable my WiFi. So my variable is set to "1".
Then... After my phone connects to my network I set another variable to "1".
When both variables are equal to "1" my home profile kicks in.
This way I do not rely on Location (and my power consumption is lower).
Sent from my LG-D855 powered by Aosp Extended and Tapatalk.
So the way tasker works is when a profile activates, the entry task runs, then when the profile deactivates the exit task runs.
If something interferes with the entry task, or if you have profiles that overlap (changing the same settings for instance) the profile will be active, but the desired actions may not be able to run.
However, when it comes to wifi on/off actions, you have to do a few things to ensure the actions can run.
1. Make sure you give yourself enough time to enable wifi before continuing.
Eg: 1. Turn on wifi
2. If connected to my home ssid do the following
This will never work because tasker enables the wifi and immediately goes to the next action, but you need at least 5 seconds (really 15) to connect, so it will never be connected when if statement is checked
2. Or say you want to disable wifi every time The wifi is disconnected from any ssid and whenever you're in range of your homer ssid another profile turns on wifi.
The following WILL NEVER WORK but will take a long time to realize the simplicity of why if not careful
If wifi=on and wifi is not connected
Disable wifi and do these things
The reason is the home profile will always enable wifi and for 15 seconds the disable WiFi profile will trigger because the wifi is on but not connected...so it'll disable WiFi.. which will... you get the idea.
P.s. if the profile is active then reliable alarms has nothing to do with why the actions didn't run. Tasker correctly activated the profile... something interfered elsewhere

[AAWireless] Possible workarounds to get internet connection on MIUI while AA is connected wirelessly

As AAWireless gets shipped and people are getting their device, so I think more people are running into the same problem:
When using MIUI the chance is pretty high that it is possible to connect wirelessly with Android Auto, but there won't be any internet connection. Which makes AA pretty unusable.
The problem is that MIUI should switch from Wifi to cellular data if Wifi connection has no internet. But it does not switch.
As I don't want to unlock my bootloader to change to another ROM (don't know which ROM would work on my Mi Mix3 either) and don't want to wait until some updates from MIUI arrives, I startet this thread and hope it is possible that we find a workaround together.
Some questions/possibilities I have in mind:
Is it possible to combine the connection of cellular data and wifi? Then no switch would be necessary because both are connected at all times
maybe speedify will work? => tried it, but i couldn't get cellular data to cennect via speedify
is it possible to force some apps to only use cellular data?
found the possibility in settings to tell apps that they are not allowed to use SIM1 / SIM2, but I was not able to tell Google Maps that it is not allowed to use Wifi. That setting is not changeable
Is it possible to emulate a USB connection so that MIUI thinks that the phone is connected. Because when I connect it via USB cable it switches to cellular data and I can use the internet connection
Maybe some of you can help with that problem as it is very annoying. AAWireless works at it is intended to, the problem is MIUI in this case.
I struggled with this too, and found no solution within Miui.
The only solution that worked for me was to unlock the bootloader of the phone and to replace Miui with Lineage OS.
Have you tried switching wifi assistant on?
Go to settings/wifi/wifi assistant and switch it on.

I tried switching it on, but it didn't work either.
BUT I got it to work sometimes!
Let me explain...
Some days ago I went to my car, opened it, got my sunglasses and walked away from the car.
Then I got a notification that told me my wifi connection does not have a internet connection and if i wanted to use mobile data. I don't know what happened there, as I didn't even have the ignition on.
So I went back to the car later and booted up the system. First I ignored the message, knowing that some people wrote in the forum to ignore the message.
But as I didn't have working internet connection while connected to AAWireless, I tried to let it use mobile data and it worked!!!!
I was connected to AAWireless and had a working internet connection for the first time!
The car wakes up as soon as you open the doors and AAWireless boots up. So something did trigger that my phone went into another mode. So it didn't ask me if i want to stay connected to AAWireless or chosse another, stronger wifi, but if I wanted to use mobile data instead. (Wifi Assistant options were off)
After that I tried turning the Wifi Assistant options on and thought maybe now it would work. But it didn't.
So I switched the options back off, tried again to connect to the car, but I was back to having no internet when connected.
The next day I went to the car, it booted up and it worked again! (After confirming to use mobile data when asked) I have no idea why?!
I used it a few times in the last days. It worked after I confirmed to use mobile data when asked.
As soon as I turned Wifi Assistant on it didn't work anymore. Tried that several times.
But sometimes it did not work the first time I went into the car and started it up. Then I had to turn off the car, open the door (12V will be off), close the door and start it again.
Today it did not work, even after rebooting it four times.
So I think it has something to do with timing.
- when the phone connects to what (Wifi, Bluetooth)
- media system booting before/after AAWireless
- ...
But there is hope that it is fixable!
P.S.:
- Xiaomi Mi Mix 3
- stock MIUI 12.0.2 global stable
- Android Auto 6.2.610914
- Wifi was connected to AAWireless
- Bluetooth was connected to the headunits bluetooth
Our problems are primarily related to the MIUI , since on a pure android users of the AAW have no problems.
Can turning off MIUI optimization in the "for developers" menu help us?
Unfortunately, I haven't received the device yet, so I can't experiment with different settings yet.

I have still not recieved mine but hopefully I can do some troubleshooting when it arrives.
The messages you received asking if you wanted to use mobile data do sound like WiFi Assistant, strange that they happen when it was switched off.
I have found in the past that some Miui settings don't 'stick' unless you reboot your phone after applying them. Maybe worth a try?
I don't have AAwireless yet. But I have Redmi k20 pro. MIUI 21.3.24 / 25 - Android 11. I connected my phone to WIFI without internet. I forgot all the other WIFI. In the WIFI assistant, I checked the option "keep connected" - I was asked whether to ask about the use of mobile data, I marked "no". In the programming options I checked "always use mobile data". After restarting and connecting to WIFI without Internet - the phone uses mobile data without any problems. Google chrome opens all online pages. - Sorry for my English. Test it.
Did someone found a stable solution that does not require the use of a different rom? This is pretty frustrating
This may not work on your rom, but as I've run into this problem on my Galaxy S10+, this might help. Note, I am on the AAWireless beta team. These are general instructions, so forgive the simple details.
*********************
If you are having issues with mobile data not being available when connected to Android Auto, there are a few things and settings to be aware of. The following is on my Galaxy S10+.
Note, to enable Developer Settings (aka Developer Options, Developer Mode) in Android, find the Build Number (Settings => Software Information => Build Number) and tap 10 times to bring up a confirmation.
Settings which could affect Mobile Data availability.
1) In Developer Options > Mobile data always active (Turn On)
2) Settings > Connections > Wi-Fi > 3 Dot Menu > Advanced > Switch to mobile data (Turn On) > Network exceptions (Delete the AAWireless device if accidentally added– see below).
************************
If you get a message pop-up when connecting to AAWireless:
"Internet may not be available - If you stay connected to this Wi-Fi network now, your phone will also stay connected whenever you use this network in the future. You can change this in Settings > Connections > Wi-Fi > ADVANCED > Switch to mobile data > Network exceptions." Then it gives two options: "Allow switch" and "Stay connected".
You must respond by canceling out of the choice – do NOT choose either option.
If you choose to Stay Connected, it will add a listing in "Network exceptions" that needs to be deleted. The label for Network exceptions says "Your phone will remain connected to these networks, even if the connection is unstable."
Google made this very confusing.
Unfortunately none of the above solutions worked for me, but...
After several failed attempts I documented what i did and analysed it properly, so here is a possible fix that works for me (the "problem" that I have to comfirm to "use mobile data" remains, but at least it works).
Requirements:
AAWireless is configured and Android Auto works wirelessly (except for the fact that you have no mobile data of couse)
====>
turn Wifi Assistant OFF
while connected to AAWireless wifi go to wifi settings and click on the wifi connection; in MIUI you should see a QR code to share the wifi connection => take a screenshot
open the „scanner“ app from miui which can read QR codes
choose the symbol that lets you choose a picture from your images on the phone => choose the screenshot you took
now it translates the QR code and gives you SSID and password from your AAWireless wifi connecttion. If you only see strars/symbols instread of the password, tap on the password and it will turn into characters and numbers
note the password
Open the Android Auto app
Go to settings and DEACTIVATE the „Wireless Android Auto“ setting (the one that you had to activate to get AAWireless to work in the first place)
Close the App completeley
Erase your AAWireless wifi in wifi settings, so that the phone isn’t able to connect to it
Shutdown AAWireless by unplugging it
Shutdown your car completely
Plugin AAWireless again (maybe open and close the door in the car so that the usb plug has power => AAWireless will boot up
Connect to the AAWireless wifi manually
Maybe you get a prompt that asks you if you want to change wifi connection because it has no internet => ignore it
Put your phone into airplane mode, wait 10 seconds
Deactivate airplane mode
Wifi connects to AAWireless wifi
It should now ask you if you want to use mobile data, maybe it takes a few seconds until you get asked
ALLOW it to use mobile data
I had to retry it a few times with switching airplane mode on and off until I got the prompt that it wants to use mobile data.
If it works until here chances are very high that everything will work in then end!
Go to Android Auto app and ACTIVATE „Wireless Android Auto“
Shutdown everything again, unplug AAWireless, shutdown your car and wait a few seconds => all connections should be disconnected
Start your car, plugin AAWireless
AA Wireless and Android Auto should startup as it should and after a few seconds you should get the promt again, that your phone wants to use mobile data => allow it
Android Auto should work now with internet connection
Please let me know if that works for you, too.
Hello guys,
I'm considering getting a Poco X3 Pro due to the price but miui not playing nice with AA and AAW and also the last Xiaomi phone that I had being abandoned for no apparent reason are leaving me in the fence about this. Is it worth the hassle or I should just go with another brand that doesn't f'up android?!?
Honestly, the older I get the more I understand why people get iPhones, they just work...
Thanks
@usedr I tried and it worked on the first try. I just skipped the part where you unplug and shutdown the car. I will see how it goes in the next days. Thank you
I also tried it, but no matter how often I tried to enable airplane mode, I just did not get a popup to use cellular data. Just always "No internet in wifi, keep / connect to other)
Mi 9t, MIUI 12.0.5
I also have a mi 9t with MIUI 12.0.5. Make sure to have options enable like in this page https://cpeb.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/80000527154-xiaomi-no-internet
For me it worked at the first try following usedr steps
Interesting. I also tried that right from the beginning, but it did not work for me, it was switching back to my home wifi all the time because of the auto-switching of wifi assistant.
Maybe try to be in a place out of reach of any other saved wifi or delete them from your phone
Thank you usedr, worked first time for me on my Redmi 8T, MIUI 12.0.3
I removed my home network and enabled all the stuff shown on the link, which made it then work too.
The steps proposed by usedr tell to disable wifi assistant, while the screenshots from the link show wifi assistant enabled. It worked for me having wifi assistant enabled and all known networks in range removed.
I'm using Poco X3 NFC, the strange is only when connected to AA wireless, it did not prompt any message telling me either keep/switch to data cellular or which to other wifi whatsoever. But if I'm connecting to my router without internet or any wifi device without internet it will prompted me.
What could be the difference?
I did follow all the possibility steps from here, no matter what it won't priority the cellular data.

Looking it this problem would it possible aa wireless connect as client to my mobile hotspot? Or any patch can be tweak to apply for MIUI rom?
Btw i haven't try using airplane method like usedr, will try later and update soon.
But I can't imagine using this method everytime before i drive. Basically it defeat the purpose of cordless, it more faster plugging it using cable. I mean if I'm looking the at advertising of AA wireless video.

AA Wireless and Android Auto should startup as it should and after a few seconds you should get the promt again, that your phone wants to use mobile data => allow it
Android Auto should work now with internet connection
Please let me know if that works for you, too.

Okay I tested this with my Poco X3 NFC, it's working!!!!!!!
The reason because I think the AA wireless was sort of authenticated single sign on though Bluetooth and get the all credentials to wifi connection. By doing this xiaomi MIUI it seem remember this as Wi-Fi SSID with the preset password. Let's hope the WiFi password is fix and doesn't generate randomly and issue many times by AA wireless dongle.
By connecting WiFi manual method and key in the WiFi password manually the MIUI threated the WiFi connection like normal router no internet connection. And the android will recall this my duty to tell there is NO internet connection, do you want to switch to data or not?
I think this the difference, using Bluetooth to get WiFi authenticated the MIUI missing feature to check what to switch to data or not.
The other issue is always need to press "use mobile data" everytime start the car and the Wi-Fi connected, otherwise still no internet. Quite inconvenience, i still need to open my phone to confirmed it.

Question Issue with 4G all time activated

Hello !
Since 2-3 weeks, i have an issue !
at home when I have wifi activated, I always have the 4G logo displayed and sometimes 4G is used instead of wifi! I have however disabled the options in the wifi such as automatic switching when wifi is poor but my 4G logo is still there! so indeed if I deactivate 4G, the logo disappears but I would like to have both as before! someone have this issue? thank you !

I asked a similar question on Reddit. It seems to be a bug from July/August Update. I've done a network settings reset and it seemed to have helped

Used to happen to me too.
Network settings reset didn't help. Issue kept recurring randomly. Plus it was super irritating setting up all network credentials after every reset.
So I devised a workaround for this using Bixby Routines.
I set up a new routine whereby if my Home WiFi is connected, Mobile Data is turned off. Once i leave home and WiFi disconnects, Mobile Data automatically turns on. Solved my problem. You could try this out if you like.

It's a good idea
I will make this !
Apparently, it's a rogue app as per the Samsung centre. I showed them this issue and they said it's an app that could be causing this. They did this with another device at the centre that was on the same software that I was on and that device didn't have the 4G data symbol when on on wifi...So, they did a complete restore from their end, which I assume is the ODIN equivalent for us here and the issues seems to have gone while the total apps I have on have also reduced...

Thanks my friends ! I don't think it's an issue of rogue app , because all my app is from play store and is not unknown developers....
It's very easy for samsung to say that ! ^^
I think it's an issue of software after update

By rogue app, I didn't mean just apps that are sideloaded. Even playstore apps can be rogue! FYI, this issue has been present since the May/ June update. I wanted to get the sammy people to validate this with another device on-premise which they did in front of me.

Your phone needs to connect to 4G/3G to receive calls and texts so will be on when you are using Wifi. If you turn Wifi calling on then it will disappear as it can use the Wifi to receive calls and texts then. If they hid the signal strength how would you know if you could receive calls, this is not a bug. HTH
Edit: screenshot showing my phone with LTE and Wifi, then just Wifi when wifi calling is on.
Spoiler: Screen shots

It's a bug because since i have an Android , i have not the 4G+ or LTE display when wifi is activated ! i checked and i don't have wifi calls enabled :/
I think it's an softwate issue , yes you have reason for receive text and call , but why the logo is displayed every time ? Is with the last update of september i think

If you do not have wifi calling then you should have a mobile connection when connected to wifi. The mobile signal is required to allow calls and texts. If you do not have one then but still have a mobile signal strength bar then either you have turned off data connection or no data connection on mobile. In my screenshot, you can see LTE1 next to the signal bar, which shows I have a 4G connection to the cell tower as well as WIFI connection. This is expected behaviour.
Do you get the as well as the WIFI icon?

He's not talking about the Volte icon being displayed along with WiFi. He means that in addition to all the icons you've showed in your screenshot, the 4g+ icon is also displayed concurrently, which should not be the case if you have wifi connected with an active internet connection. I had a similar issue. Only way to get rid of it is to turn off mobile data, either manually or through an automated trigger like Bixby routines, or Tasker.

There is an option to set apps to only use mobile data, that may be enabled. Settings -> Connections -> Data Usage Mobile data only apps. You can turn on and set an app to only use mobile data so even on WIFI you get the 4G connection.
Other issues may be that the WIFI is not reliable or considered good quality, Android will connect to 4G in readiness of a WIFI issue. So if the WIFI level drops a 4G connection is made ready in case of a switch is needed to maintain a data connection. You can turn it off in WIFI -> Advanced settings -> Switch to mobile data. Mine is turned on and locked so I cannot disable it, think that is due to other call/network settings I have enabled
Doesn't really happen to me, the 4G/4G+ icon disappears whenever I connect to WiFi, but I've noticed it always stays on whenever Google Duo is opened, and will stay there until Google Duo is removed from the foreground.
So a rogue app might be the probable culprit.

Yes, you're right. There is an option like that. It's turned off for me as well as OP if I remember his initial posts.
But even with that option disabled, mobile data turns on and the icon is visible alongside the wifi connected icon. Only way it goes away is if you turn off mobile data. It's not a biggie, but irritating to see 4g+ right next to the wifi icon, especially when you know wifi is working well and internet is connected.
I'll attach a screenshot.

Haven't looked at Google Duo being the culprit behind this. Thanks for the pointer, will check it out.
But ever since i set up a Bixby routine to disable mobile data when connected to WiFi, this is no longer an issue for me.

Sounds like you have a mobile only app then, some carriers add apps that will only use mobile data connection so they can keep the phone connected to their networks for "analytics, performance and service improvements" (tracking, tracking and tracking).

Dunno. It's an unlocked device not tied to any carrier.
But like I said, it's a non-issue for me now because of the bixby routine setup

And i made many others bixby routine
But i hope samsung will change the issue for the next version... !

Is there a Remote connection via Wifi on the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro LTE model?

Hello everyone. My English is so bad I get help from google translate sorry.
I am currently using watch3 lte and it is not possible to make calls over wifi because there is no Remote connection. I would like to ask those who use Watch5 lte, is there a Remote connection over wifi?
Has anyone managed to turn on wifi search on the watch3 LTE model?
I was having the same issue with galaxy watch active 2 LTE . I bought the Lte watch with plan to have a cheap data only plan to my watch in order to use the remote connection feature for dialling. But unfortunately to the LTE version of active 2 the remote connection is working only for messages and not for dialing. Is this the same for Watch 5?

It's a very ridiculous situation, I don't know if this is on watch5 or not. Watch3 is like this. In BT model, calling and all notifications, everything works, but in LTE models, if there is no mobile plan, it does not forward calls with wifi. You pay more for LTE models, but you lose a lot of things. It's a bull****. For example, I work in my basement, it does not receive mobile data, but there is wifi, in this case wifi connection should also work. This situation is ridiculous, please answer one of the watch5 lte users, is it the same situation?
Yes you can remote connect via WiFi and LTE on the Watch 5 Pro but the process is currently far from automatic.
Currently it seems you need to turn off Bluetooth on the watch and possibly even manually select the WiFi network before it will remotely connect. Once it has remotely connected it will maintain that connection via LTE if WiFi drops. It does not seem to initiate remote connection via LTE alone. None of this can be intended functionaiity, as in it should all happen seemlessly.

Do you have a remote connection without any mobile data? So calling and notifications over wifi?
Yes.
I just tested it like this:
Switch off Bluetooth on watch.
Switch off LTE on watch.
Open dialler on watch and make call.
Watch connects to phone remotely by WiFi and makes call successfully.

Are you serious?? They fixed it. Finally got the answer I wanted. I wonder if BT open wifi doesn't work automatically?
You are amazing man. Nobody shoots videos about connection, they don't write articles. This is a great innovation, it is not like this in old generations.

I don't know.
There is only on or off for WiFi no auto connection.
The only way I have been able to get WiFi to connect remotely is to turn off Bluetooth.

Then adriod wear is like that. Tizen has an automatic mode. Today I managed to add e-sim to my watch but the operator line is separate . It neither forwards calls with LTE nor wifi. watch3 like this. If Watch5 is like you said, it will be great if it forwards calls. I will order the LTE model today, but I will ask you for something. Do you see your watch in the place I sent below? Can you send a screenshot of this place?

So in order to be clearer ,
1.for the Bluetooth version of the watch , the remote connection it works Automaticly .
That means if you loose the connection with phone , the watch automatically connects to the available saved wifi network and you can receive and make calls remotely.
2.For the LTE version of the watch. The remote connections works manually
That means that if you loose the connection with the watch , you have to manually disable the Bluetooth , and manually connect to a wifi network (although you have connect to this network in the past)
Also to android wear , there is no Auto mode on wifi , there is either always on or always off .
Am I correct ?

I got it from a post on the official forum. Devices for Wi-Fi calling should appear here. Oddly enough, the connected devices don't show up for me or for you. but I don't understand how wifi calling works for you.
This is the status in the Wearable app when I switch off Bluetooth.
BTW have turned on Mobile Battery Saver in the Developer Settings and connections seem to be behaving far better.
