Hey Guys,
I have had the same issue with M7 International edition (M7 UL, CID HTC_001) in the last 48 hrs. And after much debugging. swapping sim cards and too many factory reset, trying different roms. and ruling out SIM card and Mic or speaker fault. I think I am positive that i have found the root of the issue. Its most definitely the recent update to HTC Service Pack from the play store.
I have duplicated this twice starting from fresh install (full wipe, dalvik and cash wipe, TWRP 2.8.1.0, HBOOT 1.57, Radio 4T.30.3218.21):
First I suspected the Radio image is the cause since I recently updated from 4T.28 to the new 4T.30. So my first try was to revert the update to go back to 4T.28 fresh install Maximums Sence 4.3 (full wipe, dalvik and cash wipe, TWRP 2.8.1.0, HBOOT 1.57) it worked for 12 hours the the problem returned after Play store updates. So After much of debugging and investigation I think I found the root of the issue. It happens after an HTC update called "HTC Service Pack" So what you need to do is factory reset your device and prevent the play store from updating HTC Service Pack.
The story is also mentioned in a couple of websites. Google "PSA: something broke voice calling on some HTC One M8 and M7 models" AND "HTC One M8, One M7 Suddenly Lose Voice Call Functionality For Some"
What's the solve in your opinion?
For me all works now with latest services
To solve the gms problem do this:
Go to play store and search for "disable services"
Install it and Browse to Google play services (in system or after self autoupdate in data)
Only disable the checkinservice .
Reboot and till now all Works
thx goes to n0j0e he found it out .
Thanks a lot

Installed cyanogen 6.1 on a G1 I just acquired at no cost but now can't setup my "google account" errors out about not being able to find reliable data network.
Initially I had wiped the phone with the stock ROM and was able to do the initial sign-up of the google account and tested the android market without much of a problem.
After alot of reading, root and learning about Android via a crash course. I was able to sucessfully install cyanogen 6.1 but now I can't setup the phone.
I thought that my trial and error method of getting things working may have caused the problem so I did a complete wipe and started from scratch (minus the error) once more to make sure everything was good. But still no go on setting the google account.
Yes, I do have a dataplan as I was using an HTC TouchPro2 before this.
Any ideas?
SPL: HDBOOT - 1.33.0013d
Radio: 2.22.28.25
ROM: update-cm-6.1.0-DS-2708port_S, gapps-mdpi-tiny20101020-signed.
At the Google Sign-in screen, hit menu, APN, enter your APN.
There should be a skip option on CM anyway.
APN looks correct. I'm able to skip the sign-up but I can't access anything that requires net access. No android market; no browser...nothing.
Did you flash gapps after flashing the rom? Not all roms come pre-installed with gapps.
Sent from my HTC Dream using XDA App
Yes, I installed gapps-mdpi-tiny20101020-signed
dump a logcat using adb during boot process perhaps?
or try checking the SIM with another phone. similar thing happened to me once-upon-a-time, and apparently it was the SIM and not the phone *doh*
I had the same problem but when i reboot the phone the problem is solved for some time ( 1 a 2 hours) so i have to reboot my phone a lot.
im having the same problem with cm6. i have tried going to biffmod and get the same problem and data is turmed on.
Yep, tried another mod same issue; also went as far as to unroot it and problem still exists.
Does anyone know if the Radio firmware could be the potential culprit?
SIM card works fine on my HTC TouchPro2...running android
Try a diff radio perhaps, not sure if thats the issue.
It has got to be the APN... Do you get a G/E/3G icon?
Just wanted to updated that I have now been able to successfully get CM 6.1.0 working on the G1. Seems that it all came together once I received my G2 and my data plan was changed.
Yay!!
Hello,
So far Holic's ROM seems to be the only one without in-call volume problems on my Vivid (Bell Canada) but there are two problems, one more annoying than the other
first, most annoying problem: after I install, the phone will upgrade to the latest apps like Hangouts. Everything works great, I can start hangouts and chat.
But after some time (5 to 10 minutes) of the phone just sitting there, or especially after a reboot, I will get the "google play services is not supported by your device" error. I have to remove update to google play store and resintall it, and then problem goes away temporarily and hangouts is usable again, and after the next reboot same problems reappear.
Does anyone have any fix for this?
second problem, less annoying:
On the phone dialer, there is a button at the bottom right which looks like a button for calling voicemail (has some funny symbols on it)
if I press this button I get error message "Android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly". Does anyone else have this?
My phone is S-ON
I reinstalled the rom several times. I do the full system wipe before from recovery, flash the boot image, install rom with WCX recovery, re-flash the boot image from the SD card
same problem every time.

What Gapps are you installing? Have you tried different ones?
CM11 in call volume is pretty much gone since about the middle of January (if you read the thread, you'll see good feedback about it from about the 15th on). Only issue is sending/recieving MMS. Might want to give it another shot since this seem to be the only one getting worked on by the devs.

I'm not flashing any Gapps on this, the ROM already comes with them.
This is a ROM based on 4.0.3 ICS, not kitkat
I actually tried two versions of CM11, one was the latest unofficial nightly build from february 19, and the other was the albinoman release from january 15. both have the low volume problem.
I also tried the Borked ROM, based on 4.0.3, and it has the same low call volume problem, but no other issues like hangouts not working.
What GApps should I flash for a 4.0.3 based ROM?
You don't flash gapps on a stock based ROM ever
Sent from my Vivid 4G using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
So I updated my HTC one M7 from T-mobile to
HBOOT: 1.57.0000
RADIO: 4T.28.3218.04
OS: 6.10.531.9
Now I am getting almost no sound/voice during calls.
Sometimes it so happens that I can hear the voice from the other end but they cannot hear me clearly.
So I checked a solution about erasing Google Play Services and Google Services Framework data and cache but It still doesnt work that well.
Is this something to do with the hardware or the Software ?
Looks like software. Some of my friends and me having same problem with exactly same radio.

lol Stock ROMs are affected by this bug aswell. Temporary solution, till google fix it.
Go to Settings -> Apps -> (swipe right until you get to the ALL tab)
find
* Google Play Services
* Google Services Framework
click on them, and select "Clear data" and "Clear cache"
reboot
if that still doesn't solve it, reboot to recovery and wipe cache and dalvik too
I have same exact problem, on two different M7. One (100% stock, unrooted) started acting up on sunday, while other (running viper One 7.01 and ElementalX 18) started having problem today.

Exact same problem popped up from today for me! Given more incidents I'm beginning to think its an incompatibility between some software and the HTC Blinkfeed updates that just rolled out.
It's definitely software since the sound on calls is fine when I boot the phone in safe mode.
Disabling Xposed didn't help - so it isn't any of the Xposed modules either...
I'm on ARHD 81.0 with ElementalX-17.0 and on 6.09.4015
Ho... I'm not alone with this problem ! :highfive:
seems like this issue has really taken off this week. i had it hear and there but a restart usually fixed it. now its becoming a real problem. it seems if i turn location services off it works after that. im really not sure what to do here

Works for me, thanks ! :good:
Clearing framework and play service didn't help me, and it's not helping a lot of other people, but I read on a S4 forum to clear the cache and Dalvik cache then reboot, and that worked for me.

Hey Guys -
I've had an HTC One (M7) for a few months now after being an iPhone fanboy for years. I'm into tech and wanted to give Android a shot. I enjoyed the jailbreaking community with Apple products so was happy to see how much more open Android is! Since I've had the phone, I've tried a few different ROMs and at one point know I messed up the radio but eventually got it back up.
A couple of days ago, I tried making a call and I couldn't hear the phone ring even though connected and the other person couldn't hear me. I hadn't flashed anything or made any changes besides app installs during that time. Sometimes, I think the other person can hear me, but I can never hear them. Due to radio issues in past, I'm pretty sure it's the cause but there are so many versions of radios, I don't know which to use!
How I've Tried to Fix So Far
- I currently run ViperOne 7.01 ROM. I tried resetting things by performing the below steps:
1. Updated TWRP
2. Installed Guru Reset M7_5.12.502.2
3. Installed ViperOne 7.01, choose to wipe, and believe choose to flash back to stock radio
One all the above was complete and the phone booted, I saw that my files were still there (it wasn't a complete reset) and I still had root. The OS was wiped so I had to set everything up again. When I tried to make a call - I still had the same issue!
So - what radio (or other firmware(s)) should I flash / install to hopefully repair this thing? I don't care what it may wipe as long as I can make calls.
Phone's Current Specs:
- HTC One (M7)
- AT&T - USA (Tennessee)
- Android 4.4.3 via ViperOne 7.01
- Kernel - 3.4.10-g40b189c
- Baseband 4M.27.3218.14_10.37.1718.01L
- Build - 6.09.401.5 CL366813

there are lots of threads discussing this problem already, but to save you messing with firmware and radio's etc the problem is the latest google play services update.
To fix it, remove the update or clear cache and data for google play services , and google play store in your app settings

Hi,
I had the problem with Google Play Services with the no call sound issue, I've been trying different ways (i'm really inexpert in this) finally I've installed a storck ROM (waiting to get any OTA update that fixes the Play Services issue) and got this (image attached).
What can I do? thanks!
Edit: nevermind I've solved waiting until device got out of battery, in charging mode I' putted it recovery and flashed a new ROM on it and then installing a different ROM.
I still have the problem with no call sound, it isn't google play services, no! it was an update for HTC Lock Screen, so please if you have this same problem deactivate the auto update function for it on Play Store.
