Hello
I have a problem with my Htc One. Someone had this problem? (when i zoom in camera)

when I print the picture, it appears too.
My htc is in after-sales service. I'm wait answer.
Thanks in advance (and sorry for my bad English).
no need to think too much. send it back to store, it's faulty. I had a faulty one with a ghost spot and switched to a new one.
Yes, agreed. That's not software.
Yes I think is not software but hardware.
You think HTC will change just the camera or I'll have a new device ?

take it back to the store you bought it from and they should swap it. If you bought it recently.
otherwise you'd have to send it to HTC for warranty repairs, and they'd probably take it apart and just swap the camera out.
Hello. dear developers as you know some htc one series have big problem with rear camera(pink colours), my phone too.I have global warranty for my device but Turkey's model 801e and Turkish care centers dont accept to repair my 801n.I asked repair price another service but they says almost 200$ this is funny i bought a replacement rear camera on ebay. it is 23$ and shipment 9$ total 32$.
Now i have some question.I hope you help me.I want to repair it.i think i can. enough to change the camera ? or need any software?
Please help me.
No body does not know?
I need to send my phone back to HTC UK to get camera fixed, ive got the pink screen like many others, just like to ask what experiences others have had with HTC UK warranty claims regarding the HTC ONE camera problems

Hi there! I'm considering getting a new M7, since I loved Sense UI on the One X.
I've heard a lot about the camera tint. Is it only older M7 batches that had this problem? I heard that it's fixed with a software update too, is this true? I think (someone) meant the tint was prevented with a new update.
Will I get tint on a new M7 if a have the newest update?
Thanks

Make sure you buy a brand new m7 if it's available, because the later batches had no camera issue.
Also if you are buying a second hand phone. Check the camera properly in low light conditions.
Open camera, place it on a flat table/surface, it should be all black in viewfinder. Not a single red dot or tint should be there.
The Camera purple tint was a hardware issue with faulty camera modules which degraded after use and heat.
HTC replaced them for customers with un-faulty ones.
I bought a second hand handset which was still in warranty April 2014 with purple tint and immediately got it replaced for free by HTC.
Don't have any tint at all since then.
+1 to the guy above me, new ones have no purple tint issue

I got the new Blue One from best buy and it has the purple camera I'll be sending it in for repair soon
This Phone shipped with Hboot 1.44 and AT&T software 1.x.502.15 Revone patched / rumrunner works
I am really suprised to here it, the only thing i hate about my htc one is the rear camera in low light scenarios. Good luck and enjoy the phone.
With the One X, there was a hardware fault with earlier models. This could be recognised by the serial number of the device. All phones with 'HT23W*******' serial number would have the fault.
Is there anything similar for this M7 so I can be sure to avoid buying a model that will develop tint?

not without booting up the phone.
when the phone is on simply open the camera app and hold the camera against your hand you will see purple instead of black if it's bad
I just got a 2nd hand m7, seller said it has no PT issue at all and yes i am happy it didn't really had it, but quick question, is there any certain manufacturing dates that the new units didnt have the issue? The Manufacturing date of my phone is June 27 2014
I read that the batch of 2013 got all the PT issues, im kinda scared to over use the camera as it would put undue pressure in the camera hence making the Purple tint issue
Hi
I know this is an old issue.
I have owned an HTC One (M7) since 2013 and live in Denmark.
After using the phone during the first weeks of the summer of 2013, I discovered the purple haze in the viewfinder when takin a photo.
But sadly HTC never offered the free fix here in Denmark like in the US, so I have been stuck with the problem ever since.
I have finally found a firm here in Denmark who can replace the whole camera-unit in my HTC One (M7).
But before I spend 50 USD on fixing the phone. Will replacing the camera-unit fix the problem? Or is the problem deeper ?

To the best of my knowledge it depends how bad it is. I've known cases where replacing the camera module did solve it and others where it did not.
If you do decide to take it in maybe ask the shop for some reassurance of success rate so you can make a more informed decision. :good:
