1/ http://hpics.li/d46ad94
2/ http://hpics.li/8ff1391
3/ http://hpics.li/0b9d54b
when I print the picture, it appears too.
My htc is in after-sales service. I'm wait answer.
Thanks in advance (and sorry for my bad English).

no need to think too much. send it back to store, it's faulty. I had a faulty one with a ghost spot and switched to a new one.

Yes, agreed. That's not software.

Yes I think is not software but hardware.
You think HTC will change just the camera or I'll have a new device ?

take it back to the store you bought it from and they should swap it. If you bought it recently.
otherwise you'd have to send it to HTC for warranty repairs, and they'd probably take it apart and just swap the camera out.

camera not focusing :/

Hello,
I purchased a htc one but the camera does not focus. I tried on a custom rom with no difference. Any idea whether it can be fixed?
When you touch the screen what happens? Sounds like a hardware fault, get it replaced

when i touch the screen in makes like this screechy focusing sound and the square in the middle goes green and foucses in but the camera image does not focus.
I bought it brand new sealed on ebay from a private seller, does warranty apply with the ebay/paypal receipt?
Read here: http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/buy/return-item.html
Surely it's item not as described
I would normally return it straight away for an exchange, but the seller sold it as an unwanted upgrade and would probably have to return it to provider then wait for replacement then send to me again. I am waiting for a reply from htc tech support see what they say.

HTC One camera focus problem [video]

hi guys
i hope i can explain what's happening in correct english, if i make some mistakes please forgive me
i've got a big problem with my one
when i start the camera app, and it happens EVERY TIME, the camera takes a long time to begin "responding" to my commands
i'll try to explain
i start the camera
the camera begins to focus all the way out, then come back all the way in, and THEN if i tap it will correctly focus on the object i tapped on
if i tap before all this, it just doesn't focus
so i have to wait several seconds to begin "shooting" photos, and this happens anytime i will start the camera app
with the night or in low light, the problem is even bigger taking betweet 5 to 10 second to be "operative"
i've made a video on this problem but please be advised i've used an iphone in one hand while having the htc in the other, so i don't know if you can see exactly what happens
it's normal or it's my one that is faulty?
PS: i had this problem with stock 1.28 and now i have the trickrom 3.5 ( based on 1.29 ) and the issue is still here
in the video you can see that i try to focus on the electronic cigs without success... i will reach to focus around 0:24
looks like your lens isnt moving to focus.. have u tried sending it in?

yes it works but after 5-10 seconds... then it focus correctly on anything i tap on
sending it in you mean in warranty? i imported the phone.... would be really a mess to send it
HTC doesn't care. You can send it in teo HTC USA and they will take care of it. I had a international ONE X that had different processor housing etc... and they took care of it no problem.

sorry for the up but... i'm the only one with this problem? :-/
Could be a hardware issue. Some early devices has a focusing problem.
same here mine doesn't focus good, i might bring it back to the t-mobile store where i bought it
I'm having the same problem on the canadian version of the HTC One. Did you guys found a fix?

[Q] Bricked my phone... Warranty?

Hi everyone,
as some of you know, I did a stupid thing (flashed wrong hboot) and bricked my phone. I have a friend who can solve this problem for me with JTAG RIFFBOX, but my phone is still under warranty.
When and IF I send my phone for warranty to an official HTC service center, what are my chances that they repair the phone if I just say it died for example during software upgrade?
Thanks
lottery mate..
Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 2
I am feeling lucky!
Depends on country/replace center/staff. So it is really like a lottery
Also, a JTAG will open up the phone to the extent of physical damage, if you get turned down from HTC Warranty THEN go with JTAG.. however even then JTAG is known to cause problems for network lock/etc..
I have packed up my phone and sent it up for a repair. It is not physically damaged or serviced by 3rd party, so we will see what happens
Usually if a phone is completely nonresponsive, as it would be here, they will just replace the motherboard and be done with it.

This phone actually has faulty camera ("pink" syndrome). They have told me that they do not replace camera modules, but whole phone.
However, in the meantime, I bricked it

I did the same... I had just the pink camera and haven't send to repair and now it's bricked. No choice.
Is your phone under warranty? Did you send it for a repair?
Just to update you...
My phone was repaired and is sent back to me.
It also had "purple camera" problem, but they only replaced camera (not the whole phone). But OK. I suppose I will get new 24 month warranty because they replaced mainboard.

[Q] Pinkish/Purplish Camera Defect! Please Help!

Hi everyone.
I got my brand new HTC One yesterday and this phone rocks! Only problem is the camera getting the what you guys already know as the red/purple tint due to camera defect.
Now i live in guyana and sadly there are to htc repair centers. I bought this phone from the US.
I have the sd vd6869(1.0) cinesensor 2013-05-10 camera sensor in my phone.
I read somewhere on this forum that persons with this problem send their phone to a repair center and the replace the sensor with ov4688 sensor module.
Is there a way for me to buy this module online or something?
There are guys over here who can replace it easily.
Please help. I really love taking images.
Thanks very much.

Your phone is brand new, you should consider contacting htc usa and sending your phone for repair so your warranty will not be void. Im pretty sure repairing an htc phone from an unauthorized shop void your warranty.

Yeah but how will i send it i'm in guyana. Oh and i email HTC USA this morning , lets hear what they say.
Does it have a US warranty? Then your best bet may be to do what I did - find someone you trust who's traveling to the US and ask them to deal with it for you. The only thing you'll pay for is shipping to HTC.
Give it plenty of time just in case - they do the repair itself very quickly but the shipping back and forth will take a few days, and there may be a holdup if they see something else that needs to be repaired and they have to contact you about it.

Almost everyone who owns the one for a long period of time has this problem so you're not alone.
Solution 1: Go to HTC service center to get it repaired.
Solution 2: Replace the camera module yourself by buying the parts
Solution 3: Change to a new phone -> another m7 or might as well upgrade to m8 if you have the cash
