Few day ago noticed that that on gps navigation - phone sometimes randomly restarts. At first i tought that its software issue - so i relocked bootloader made repair/install using PC Companion - no result.
In forum found servie menu code *#*#7378423#*#* and if i try run Compass or Gyroscope under Service test - instant restart follows.
Accelerometer shows 0,0000 on X, Y and Z.
So i understand it is hardware related problem - but my question is where are those sensors located - or they are located on main pcb?
There are some stuff attached to middle frame with numbers
1264-3598.1
1264-3593.1
1264-3621
1364-3592.1
What those things might be?
Bump. I know it`s against forum rules. Sorry.
Same problem with my Xperia, guess water got in and damaged it :? does anyone know where accelerometer/gyroscope is placed on the phone?

I have exactly the same problem after changing my LCD screen several weeks ago.
Not only these test failed, but mine also randomly reboots itself when I'm browsing using Wifi/3G. LTE was disabled.
Passed Antutu Benchmark with decent score (~19000) and passed Antutu Stress test. I tested it till the processor got really hot (around 75c)
Already tried cleaning battery contact. didn't help the random restarts.

I have a HQ photo from my DSLR for the Gyro/Accel/Compass sensor. It's Invensense MPU Sensor. Will post the picture later after i got home.
Found your photo?

Yeah, I had those random reboots when browsing and/or taking pictures, I believe its because the phone tries to read Gyroscope Hardware and can't so it reboots. Can you please post it?
Guys,
I'm so sorry, I forgot uploading the photos.
I'm also already tried changing my battery, but still didnt fix this problem
Now,
Here (see my attachment)
Invensense MPU3050 is the culprit, as that chip provides the gyroscope and accelerometer [dunno whether it provides the compass or not]
http://www.invensense.com/products/motion-tracking/3-axis/mpu-3050/
The chip is "glued" in the right side of the phone, facing to the screen (notice the USB connector and the front camera
WTR1605L is 3G/LTE baseband
that samsung chip, is DDR2 ram, and there's the Qualcomm processor beneath that RAM (it's stacked)
PM8921 is the power management IC
So I've had an odd issue with my 2nd gen Moto X (AT&T version). While the rear facing camera is fine, the front facing camera is very choppy. I received a sensor update shortly after getting the phone and it initially fixed the issue but last night I saw it was back again. Any ideas what I can do to fix it? I have the issue with both the Moto Camera app AND the Google Camera app.
Thanks in advance....
You can't fix it, every Moto X is having the issue, not just you. Wait for more updates I guess. It will only be smooth in very good lighting condition.

There is already a thread for this, I believe a rep has responded and said it is in the works for being fixed.
Since getting the phone I've noticed that the camera picture flickers to start with then re-focuses and smooths out.
This happens on Google Camera, in picture & video mode. Seems to also occur in snapchat etc.
Running unlocked and rooted stock 5.0.1 rom with lean kernel. As I said before I think the phone did it when I first got it too.
Here is a quick video which shows for the first few seconds the flicker. (this can sometimes last much longer).
Anybody else had this or know the cause?

The flickering is due to the antibanding filter trying to adjust to the frequency of the light bulbs (60 Hz in the US and 50 Hz in Europe).
Some camera apps allow to manually set the filter (60 Hz, 50 Hz or Auto) but the Google Camera app seem to only allow auto filtering.
You could try with other camera apps from the play store and manually adjust the frequency filter to match that of your country.

I also have the same problem, do you still have the same problem or you replaced the mobile . please suggest
Just 2 days back my note 8 started having a weird issue. My auto rotation stopped working so I went to *#0*# and my accelerometer ACC Raw Data : X is stuck at -32723 while y and z fluctuate. When it comes to x angle its fluctuating between -82 and -88 when i rotate from portrait to landsape and y and z are fluctuating between 0 and 7. I used an app to test accelerometer from playstore and they all say my X= -78 and its frozen there while y and z are working fine. I don't understand the problem here, did someone face a similar problem? can someone help me out with some solutions. It is a note 8 snapdragon unlocked model on the latest November security patch. All other sensors gyroscope etc are working totally fine they show x y z reading fluctuating.
The weird part I don't understand is how the *#0*# ACC Raw data shows x as frozen while the angle is fluctuating between -82 and -88, and all the apps from playstore showing -78 frozen value. I searched as much as I can about this issue but I couldn't find anything even close.
Just tested my N950U1 (SD, Latest security patch update), all sensors are working fine. This rules out your issue is caused by FW-update imho.
I think that your problem is just that the sensor behaves erratically, I dont believe there is some easy fix, trick or clever app to solve it, in the end it may be a motherboard issue, sorry
Hi everyone, i have a Mi 9 and y'all know how bad its battery is.
So i turned off the prime core and 2 big cores, to be left with only little cores working and a 1 big one.
I just use social media so the performance is not affected but when it comes to the camera on 4K recording it's like a 2 FPS video lol
My question is:
How to force all the cores to be active on launching camera?
Guess no one here lol?
Maybe time to replace the battery. I don't have any problem with mine. I did hear a while ago that there was a battery replacement thing happening. Here

No, no, no. He's done customization where only 1 big core and little cores are active. He deliberately puts other cores to sleep. But now he's facing problem wherer with such a configuration, the camera cannot work with maximum capability as it requires the inactive cores as well. So he wants all cores to be active, but only for the camera app. Not something people do in general, nor I have any idea how to except if there's some kind of system wide hook that can be attached when an app is being launched and closed, a script to (de)activate the cores may be run there after seeing what package is being run.
