Hi guys. I own a Nokia Lumia 930 and 2 weeks ago it started to do some problems.
During a call there are 1-2 seconds that I cannot hear the other side and he cannot hear me also. This happens every 8 seconds or so. If I speak 1 minute I get like 5-6 interruptions.
I done a reset from the menu, I did a hard reset, I did flash the phone again using Windows Phone Recovery Tool. I had like 3-4 days when everything was ok then it started again.
Some times, after a hard reset, I get the "permanent hearing...." attention.
I don't know if it's software related considering it was fine for few days or not...or...?
Thanks for reading
It's the same...
After a few days of no problems today it started again. It keeps thinking the headphones are pluged in, because I can see it in Volume Control. The thing is that after a while it's back to normal. Should I go to warranty with it?

Just wondered on average how often you all do a power down/soft reset??? Is this cos you have to or just good practise?
I normally do it about once a week due to something wierd like the WLAN not turning on, or I get the WM6 timer popping up all the time. This morning I went to wake the device up and it turned on instead so it must have powered off over night.
Otherwise its all working perfectly, I have do have phonealarm running.

once a day for hygiene.
Once a day or so. Wireless will not associate with my AP sometimes after it has gone to sleep. A reboot resolves.
Being a GSM phone you are, for what I will call network maintanance, suppose to restart it at least once a day. And it also being a WM phone, that is especially true. I restart my phone at least once a day, sometimes more. Sprite BU runs in the background at 3:00am everyday so it gets a daily restart without any interaction on my part.
I've own/owned a 3124, 8125, 8525, and now a Tilt. This has been the practice of mine on all of them.
I used to reset around once every week with my Hermes, but with the TyTn 2 I have got out of the habit. I'm using the unbranded Kaiser and I have only once been forced to do a soft reset other times I have done it were because I had installed something that required it. I have had it now for two months and in the first month I did not need to reset at all. Occassionally it will hang but always comes out of it by itself given a couple of minutes.
I have never had to hard reset. So not best practice perhaps, but I do not routinely soft reset (something that my Hermes 8525 could not do without)

Interesting... I've only had the Tilt for a week, but now that I think about it, I haven't been "forced" to soft reset either.
Had for a week ....
Running all s/w in my Sig .... actively using 3G and HSDPA on Vodafone + Wireless and BT .... no forced resets yet.
Paul.
I learned a long time ago that anything Microsoft related like a reboot in the morning.
I soft reset it every morning on the way to work.

I've had it for a couple days and haven't had to reset yet. My 8525 would go a max 2 days before going all to hell. This phone is still just as peppy as the day I turned it on...I LOVE IT!
Hi all!
I just bought this wonderful phone.
But I have a huge problem. As soon as I have spooken on the phone i need to restart it if I want any type of sound on it again.
First night it worked ok, I set an alarm and so I could wake up and get to work.
But I woke up, feeling the phone vibrating endless.
I saw that a co-worker tried to call me and I answered but didn't hear anything.
I did a reboot of the phone and called him up.
Phone details:
ROM-version: 1.37.413.3 SVE
ROM-date: 06/19/08
Radioversion: 1.00.25.03
Protocol: 52.26a.25.09H
Should I return the phone for exchange or is this something that could be fixed with an update?
I tried to browse throuh this part of the forum but I didn't find anything that was like my problem. Execpt for the vibrating error. (I have turned vibrating off now).
problem is still here.. anyone?
I had the same after playing a mp3 on maximum volume with mediaplayer.
I had to do a soft reset to get any sound again.
Now, with the volume a very little bit below the maximum, it's fine again.

I will test that!
But now it has worked fine for almost 24 hours ^^
Problem is back again.
It seems that the phone works when it has alot of batterypower left.
But when it is close to empty the problems seems to escalade..
up problem still not solved

Still have the same problem.
Am I alone with this? Should I return it to the store that I bought it from?
Two questions:
Do you have the stock ROM?
Does the problem persist after a hard reset?
Yess I got the same problem here.
From the beginning.
As i got the phone out of the box it worked fine.
But over time It mutes it self and nou sound comes from it.
when I restart.
Its A go ant it works fine. I make one out going phone call.
Still fine.
I get an other one to call me, and the phone mutes ,.,. I answer the phone and it vibrates just once and stuts off the screen.
silence. but i am connected.
when i end the call. there is nothing that will play or make a sound.
after a restart everything works fine again,.,. for a while.
Ive tried.
Alll the different radio versions available on here
A dozen of roms, elite 1,2,3 and lots of others. the problem seems not to dissapear
Can anyone help me out here.
Is an hardware problem, I think.
I got the same problem with one of mine Touch XL.
I used my warranty and HTC sent me another.
Bummer,.,.
But thank you for replie !!
I will contact my provider asap.
Still on it.
downgraded the ratio to the 03 version.
Still no luck.
It seems txt messaging freezes my phone at sporadic moments during the day and I"m not sure why it's happening... If my phone is asleep, and i try to wake it up and press buttons and it doesn't respond, I can almost guarantee that if I soft reset the phone, and go back to my text messaging, there will be a new msg there and when I check, sure enough, there's a new message. I'm not sure why this is happening, and I don't know if it's a Windows Mobile 6.5 issue or not.. I've used both PDA Corner and TPC's roms and the same thing happens from time 2 time. Anyone else ever experience this?
...let us not forget this is still a form of Windows. I find a soft reset every couple of days and a hard reset every couple of months keeps things running smooth.
Just the other day, I couldn't hear the person on the other end of the phone call. Both incoming and outgoing. Reboot. Fixed.
Especially with aftermarket ROMS, this might just be a fact of life.
5 days old now and 2 recurring problems i have noticed.
1: Sometimes when i unlockthe phone the lock image stays halfway and then the phone hangsand then i have to hardboot it.
2: I travel a lot and change sim cards. So when i land and change a sim card and make a call the other side cant hear me. So i have to restart the phone and then all works well.
Both these issues are recorded not 100% but have happened to me 3 times in last 5 days.
Anyone facing similar issues.
I assume this is just Windows and maybe within the next couple of updates this MAY go
Can't quote on the multi-sim issue but having my phone sinmce 21st Oct i've never had the Unlock problem you're stating. I've had the phone crash on me twice i think, but that was simply the screen becoming unresponsive (both time whilst in the MarketPlace. Hmmm.....)
You could have a faulty unit.
I have had the loss of voice issue a few times now.
Phone someone up and they cant here me. Also if I go to put it on speaker phone it doesn't go very loud.
Take the battery out, put it back in and it all works again.
Is this a hardware or software fault ????????
My guess of it happens at random then its not hardware. Its a software glitch. Also for me it happens when the battery is low.
Yes the screen has become unresponsive and then had to reboot.
Don't remove your battery just keep the on/off button pressed for long. It works.

This happened to me also, the speaker phone is very very soft, you can barely hear it I hope they fix this on the next update.
Market also crash on me earlier, just blank white screen, had to turn off and on again.
did you turn up the volume on speakerphone? or was it using the same level as everything else?
first couple of weeks I had several times where an incoming call I couldn't hear the other person talking. This happened about 4 or 5 times in the first week, but hasent happened for about 7 to 8 days now so I'm wondering if it was one of the HTC hub updates I've recieved.
If it happens again it's going back to the shop
Hi All,
I could use some help.
My phone started crashing when I was trying to answer calls (though not all the time just random calls now and again) about 3 weeks ago. So I thought I'll do a backup and Hard Reset the HTC IncS. However, since then my phone will occasionally boot up but will crash within minutes or gets stuck in a boot loop. The phone is UK Vodafone in original condition, ie no HBOOT or roms have been installed.
When I now try to perform a Hard Reset using the volume down and power buttons it tries to do it then screen goes blank and the only way to get any life is pull the battery, on reinserting the battery and connecting the charger it instantly switches on and tries to re-perform the Hard Reset.
Does anyone have any clues or ideas on what I should do next.
Return it to your place of purchase for repair.

I thought it was 2 years?
Warranty
I'll look into that, but I honestly thought it was a 12 month warranty.
