E:unknown volume for /sd-ext CWM problem - LG Optimus 4X HD

Hi i have E:unknown volume for /sd-ext CWM problem and have read on internet that it is due to the non compatibile CWM and that is not possible since i installed it specificly for lg 4x (CWM version is 6.0.4.5 non touch). Is this serious problem ? Shold i switch to the TWRP ? Should i install again CWM? Format SD card maybe ? I dont have idea how to solve this.
Sorry for tagging you like this @Adam77Root @alfsamsung @Demetris @laufersteppenwolf but i am kinda panicking overhere

Adam has done good job with it, no bugs whatsoever and you can use it even if you don't want multi rom

I read that people who were using TWRP have some problems while fleshing some roms and kernels.Did u have some problems? I am using CWM because never had any issues with it untill now.To be honest i dont even know how big of a dil is this error i get while trying to wipe dalvik catche.

This is not a problem at all. It just indicates you don't have an ext-sd partition (by default nobody has it).

CWM v4.0.1.5 trouble :(

Hi all...
PLEASE help me...
I have a problem with my CWM v4.0.1.5 that is not able to mount /sdcard.
I updated my previous CWM v3.2.0.0 r3, because I wanted to install GingerDX v028b that requires a CWM (014+) in order to install it.
It seems that it's ONLY me who's having this problem, because I haven't found any other thread regarding it after searching the forum.
I'd be really grateful for any help I could get.

Am thinking of unlocking it, but am still very new to all this...so maybe I might try it after a while..
Thanks for the suggestion.
BTW, I've tried installing GingerDX with CWM v3.2.0.0 r3, and I succeeded....BUT, the SD Card seems to be unmounted (it is not detected).
Is it because I didn't install it with CWM (014+) or is it a known bug...?

I stick with it... allways you can push the file trough adb
Code:
adb push myfile.zip /sdcard
I've PMed Koush to tell him this...
I saw that some devices got an update to the 6.0.1.5 version. it should be updated very soon for us too, as Ricardo is well active
I saw it too, but I don't know if that update includes our problems...
I don't think so too, our problem should be isolated and device specific. but since the first listed device is a P930, it may have the same problem as the P970. well, we'll see
I dont know for you but i get sd card mount problem with this version
I can't make backups with this CWM, like, while backing up the CWM stops working for a while and after that come back to principal menu
Hi
One of my friend has installed this update. He has the following matter:
He doesn't have any access to the external sd card neither on the phone nor the recovery mode but he can see the extsd on his computer...
Thanks for your help .
Can't get sd-card mounted either, i'll post the log if i can figure out how i can copy the log.

[Q] GT-S6500D Boot Loop after updating CWM from 6.0.3.2 to 6.0.4.7

Hello everybody.
I was trying to install CyanogenMod 11.0 for Samsung Galaxy Mini 2 but after getting Status 7 error, I did some research and found out that I had to update the CWM to the newest one.
I updated it successfully from the old CWM and after restart it booted me into the new one. Than I rebooted the phone and since then, it started looping. It doesn't go into recovery mode. Only if I push Volume Down + home + Power, it goes into Download Mode.
I googled but I couldn't find anything that would help.
I'm inexperienced in die-hard tweaking on Android but I'm not a newbie in mobile phones (Proud ex owner of N900).
Please help and thank you in advance

One sure way to fix this is to go back to stock. You said that you can go to download mode. So use odin to flash stock.
Another way would be to use adb to get into recovery, but I don't know if you have access to adb.

I have never used cwm 6.0.4.7. I always used cwm 6.0.4.5 and I had no problem installing CM 11 with this. So what I suggest is:
-First flash cwm via odin (whatever version you find available).
-Then via cwm flash an update to cwm-6.0.4.5.
-Then wipe data/cache and /system.
-Flash cm11.
-(Perhaps flash gapps?)
-Reboot and enjoy (it will take a lot of a time to boot for first time so be patient)
Warning: While using cwm 6.0.3.2 avoid using option "reboot to recovery". This is what will get you stuck in a recovery bootloop.
After upgrating to 6.0.4.5 you should be ok.

It has internal SD mount problems, but not everyone has this problem. For some it just works fine.
Also I think that 6.0.4.7 also has the same problem.
Finally there is a 6.0.4.5 that I've uploaded that avoids mounting internal SD and only mounts external SD. Just for those who have mount problems and still want to install KitKat (because KitKat needs cwm 6.0.4.5 +)
thanks

Well, to get to stock recovery, download XXLK1 firmware anywhere. And restore with Odin. Make sure you put files in right places. And install back CM11 with latest nightly with CWM 6.0.5.3. It should work for now. You'll be fine after install but don't forget install Galaxy Y MODEM after installed CM11. It's bug on our CM11 if you don't install, we can't boot without install it. If you know this already, just leave it.
