Don't use this it will install large files that haven't worked since kitkat 4.4. If you use this tutorial you will result in a fc from lg ime.apk. this won't work on lollipop.

I don't have the apk, but I do have a bad rash, thanks for asking....

You can use this guide to set individual apps to tablet mode, very easy and painless to do as long as you have root: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2205834

thanks for all the response. I am quite happy with stock ROM actually, espesically newest Google update 4.2.2 has been great battery life and fixed a lot of issues. so I am kind of not into mode to flash a different ROM so just get tablet UI mode. I know you can modify build.prop, but again it does not quite works from app to app.
i was kind of asking around and see if anyone has some other solution, preferably a safe method that does not mess up system files (and OTA update fails when there's new release Google pushes!).

Flame suits on

I'm tired and don't know how I would effectively search for this.
I am going to sell my current phone and pick this one up again.
With the recent software update I want to know if there is any software version that can't have custom recovery installed.
thanks in advance.
Theoretically, 24a doesn't support a custom recovery, but there is a method to make it happen. 24a had also been rooted, so you should be good to go.
Thanks Devs, from my LG G2
So with 24a I imagine downgrade install recovery upgrade?
Thanks brah

(Q) Will XPosed Framework work on the G Flex?

First off let me say thanks for reading my question.
I am an HTC One M8 guy myself. However, my daughter has the G Flex from T-Mobile. She has fallen in love with some of the XPosed framework modules. Does the G Flex support XPosed framework? I told her I would root her Flex and put the frameworks on her phone but I wanted to make sure it supports that app before I root it.
Thanks again!

Hi, i have a flex D955 as well running 4.4.2 and i wanted to root it. But on the IORoot it says only 4.2.2 is supported. And on YouTube i found an app called Towelroot or something like that.
On my Galaxy S3 i'm running Xposed and root was no problem.
How did you get rooted? And can you switch to ART with Xposed? On S3 custom rom it was not possible.
Thanks for your answer in advance.

Just one more 'stupid' question. Is there a way to unroot my phone just in case i need to send it to repair.

All these questions have been answered in tons of the g flex forums. Probably could answer most of them with just the titles of the threads on XDA.

yes, there is an LG flash tool you will find lots of places and lots of references to throughout the Flex forums.
you use it to flash your original firmware, if you want to bother "restoring it" back to stock for some reason..

twrp lg g2 verizon

Hi everyone,
I was wondering if someone can link me to the most updated guide for installing twrp on my LG G2. I just got my phone back from RMA (Dead lines on the screen) and it came preloaded with Kitkat. It seems most of the guides there are for jelly bean. I tried Flashify, but apparently I read that won't work for verizon G2.
Thanks in advance

There's autorec in the LG G2 forums, never used it, know nothing about it. Then there's Freedom Tool:

What I also recommend is once you flash the twrp go to the mahdi thread, and download the moddified version of twrp made my @dr87. this will help with heat. It can be flashed using twrp.
I have always used Autorec with success on my VS989.

Does it do the extra steps required to flash a recovery on KK? It's not just a matter of flashing the recovery image.

That's what I'm asking, there's more to installing a recovery on 4.4.2 on the G2 besides just flashing recovery.
Autorec does steps 5-8 listed in this thread at a push of a button.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2702958
Does Freegee do the same? I see people complaining it doesn't work with KK on the G2 on it's play store comments.

Disable Asus theme in 4.4?

Just bought a tf701t tablet. It came with 4.2 I was able to disable the white default syustrm theme and use standard android colors. Then the update for 4.3 came. Settings stayed. Then this morning the 4.4 update installed now I'm back on this white theme? And the option is gone to disable it?
Anyone know what I'm talking about here?
Thanks.

Nope!
I haven't seen anything like that in 4.4. I had to decompile the frameworkres.apk and systemui.apk and change the colours that way but if you are doing that you may as well load cromi-x. So no way to change them unless you can find an app for root that works with the asus framework which I doubt.

Quick question. I have the tf701t. Is cwm comparable and the ROM? So far I've just unlocked boot loader and rooted.

Sweet I'll have a look tonight. I'm familiar with all this flashing stuff. On my 3rd tablet nexus 7 and 10 and 4th phone android. Galaxy s3 s4 and moto g.
Surprised there isn't more Roms and kernels, such a bad ass device, or am I missing something ? Hahahahh. but after a quick read I see the targa 4 drivers are extremely difficult to code.
Thanks again.
