Help me (Dead phone after bootloop) - G 2014 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

To start off met me tell you , My phone was not Rooted , tampered with , unlocked bootloader.
Now weird things started to happen after I accidentally brought my phone under tap water for about 3 seconds , the touch stopped , realizing the gravity of the situation I immediately switched it off took off the Sim and SD card and kept it to dry , and even kept it in a bag of rice for 3 days .
After that I prayed and switched it on (without a wall charger) , It went into bootloop , came till the part where a boat comes out of earth part and did it till the battry was 0% , then i connected my charger and it was showing 0% with the charging screen for say about 3 mins and then starting automatically and going again into the same boot loop till it was connected to the charger .
I had my 11th class exams due to winch I was unable to research on it any further .
after about 3 months , (still under warranty period) I went to service station where the opened it and said it had went underwater and refused to fix it (asked for 10K to repair LOL)
then I kept it just like that for another month or so .
Now it won't even turn on and do that boot loop , it won't charge / no bilking led nothing .
Idk where to start from. Any help is appreciated thanks for reading!!

Well, they're right, you should've brought it to assistance instantly and not after 3 months
Either change phone or pay them to repair it (don't know how much 10k is in your currency)

The phone is dead as it is.. Just avoid going to the official service center coz they will charge you a whole lot of money.. Try going to local mobile repair shops, they might be able to help you!
Sent from my Moto G 2014

I think your motherboard got short-circuited due to the remaining moisture, prolly might have burnt the pins, connectors and the display cables after you tried to power it on. The device is as good as a brick now. Go to the service center and get your motherboard replaced.

warranty
I think that you would send the mobile phone to the technical service? do you have warranty?

[Q] Samsung Galaxy Note N7000 Dead / Not powering on

I was in a conference call last night. At some point during the call, my phone froze. Touchscreen stopped working. So I waited for the cal to finish (some 30 mins) and after that I did a hard reboot reboot by pressing the power button and holding it down.
After like 5-8 seconds, phone switched off and never came back on. It justs didn't turn on. The screen doesn't even light up. No logo, no startup nothing - as if like there is no battery in the phone. The steps I tried:
Take out the battery, SIM Card, SD Card and try again after 2 mins.
Remove Battery and hold the power button down for a mins - for any internal power to drain, put battery back on and try
Try going to Download Mode
Try going to Recovery
Charging the phone - the screen doesn't light up, no activity, vibration,
Plug in the USB cable and hope for computer to detect it - no go.
I am on a business trip to US and completely dead in water without a phone. I dont want to spend money on a new phone and I haven't been able to locate any service station nearby. Doubt there is a culture like that in US about that.
I am not sure if the phone is bricked. Why will it get bricked, I was just using the phone - not flashing or something else. I also doubt any internal board got damaged as phone didn't fall down from anywhere, it was on bed all the time (connected to my bluetooth headset). Pls suggest me what I can do. I need some solution! Thanks !
Sorry to hear abt the phone going dead.
your phone is not bricked because even a bricked phone boots.Since the phone is not even booting, I assume that the motherboard of the phone has gone faulty.
There is nothing much that can be done but showing the phone to a technician. sorry but I can't see any solution.
try this link http://www.samsung.com/us/support/service/location
Same issue
My phone died suddenly too while it was charging. Strangely my bluetooth was on too. So finally were you able to sort it out or did you go to a service centre?
N7000 Not power/boot/odin
I have rescued last week 2 dead mainboards that do nothing ,i mean really nothing ,no power,no boot ,no odin .
what ive done?
i pulled out the hole mainboard including the back camera and lay it for one hour on a central heater (nachtspeicher).
A handy technican says to me ,in the most cases its enough to reheat the power ICs or Emmc-chip on the board.
1.charging the battery seperatly with an external charger ,to be safe the battery is fully charged at 100%
2. Pulling out the mainboard ,take of the backcamera too.
3.lay board on a very hot central heater ,with power IC at the bottom, wait 3-4 coffees
4.assembly board back.
5.if youre ready with re assembling, stick in JIG
6.put back fully charged battery
7.Vol- + home + power button
8.flash fresh installation
thats pretty much it what ive do ,now i have 3+n7000 for 60 bugs
Hi @bastelkick2.
I am about to attempt this over the weekend, and hopefully revive my dead N7000...
1) What sort of temp rating to you turn the central heater up too?? Medium or Full heat?
2) Wouldn't things go pop / bang, when it gets hot... such as the battery??
3) What's the IC Power?? (which way do you face the board) with the EMMc chip facing upright or at the bottom...??
Cheers, Lister

My Samsung note 1 powers on and displays the logo for a long time
I removed the battery to restart the phone and it refused to power on
How can i fix it
Hi @Jovan Afidra,
Hate to say it, but it's prolly dead like my one is.... and NO ONE know's why....?? I guess it's just age...??
I have a feeling its the EMMc chip thats somehow fried, even though it was supposedly deemed safe in more recent roms.... I've had to purchase another N7000 to get me back up and running again Im afraid...
Cheers, Lister

[Q] Galaxy S Advance won't switch on/charge

Hello, this is my first smartphone and I really don't know too much about this stuff. This being my first major problem (I purchased the phone around 7 months ago), any help would be appreciated.
My Situation
Phone was in perfect working order till today afternoon, when it suddenly switched off. I assumed it had run out of charge even though I usually get more hours of battery life. I tried to charge the phone 3 hours after it switched off. It didn't show the charging icon and I couldn't switch it on.
What I have already tried
1. Taking out the battery and SIM and putting them back in again.
2. Vol Up + Home + Power
3. Vol Down + Home + Power
4. Connecting phone to Kies (Phone not detected by Computer or Kies)
Additional Info
This information may be completely unrelated to the problem, but since I'm a complete noob, I'll add these:
1. Phone was upgraded to Jellybean by official upgrade, many months ago.
2. Phone is not rooted.
3. Only downloaded apps from Play Store. Got only one setup file of an app from a friend around 4 months ago, and deleted it after a few days.
4. Bought a new back-cover around one week ago.
5. A few days after I bought the new cover, the phone heated up and became really hot one day. It cooled down normally after half an hour or so.
6. Today in between the time when the phone switched off and the time when I tried to charge it, the phone heated up again in a similar fashion (NOTE: This was AFTER the phone stopped functioning).
Thanks for any help.
Well, if you cant go into download mode, I think its better to go with the phone from where you bought it and they will send it in assistance and in some days it will be fixed, same thing happened to me. Hope i helped

This is weird.
Go with your phone to service center, seems you have some hardware problem.
Thanks for the help, guys. I agree it's weird. I'm going to take my phone to the service center tomorrow. I just didn't want to lose all my stuff, because it's been a long time since I backed up my data. But it seems I'm out of choices. Thanks, again.
I was facing the same problem, bought the micro usb module for about 12 € and i replaced it, all went good :good:

If Lorenzo39's phone is still in warranty is not worth to do it yourself.
Must going to service center for his warranty precedure.
Good luck @Lorenzo39.

Indeed but if the connector is oxidized (probably it is) the warranty doesn't replace the module, or they do with payment (lot of $)

[Q] My XperiaZ took a shower :D

So ...Friday night i got drunk and stayed in the shower for about 3 hours WITH my phone and car keys in my pocket.
when i started to sober up i tried to turn on the phone but nothing happened. First i thought the battery discharged and tried to charge it ...ok ...the led was working ..after a while i tried to turn on the phone again ... it worked ...but the screen flashed few times, the led was doing the same (like there was an imperfect contact) and the touch wasn't working either. Couple minutes later my phone powered off alone and the charging animation appeared ... no flashes , it seemed to be fine in charging mode aand the battery was 61% (so it wasn't discharged) ... tried few more times to power it on and gave up . I left it in my car in the sun until i got home.
I managed to disassembly my phone .. wiped any visible drops and put it in rice until 1PM today (more than 12 hours)
Today i put it back together. First try to power on -- didn't work ... i plugged in the charger and after few minutes the charging animation appeared, same battery status. I tried to power it on with the charger plugged in and it worked , when it was supposed to ask me for my PIN something flashed... i guess the notification led .. and the screen turned off.
After all this i tried a few more times to power it on ... but nothing. The only thing that appeared was the charging animation.
BUT the last time i plugged in the charger the notification LED turned RED (IT WAS NOT FLASHING). I pressed the power button and the LED turned off and that's it .... nothing since then.
I noticed that if i remove the battery and plug in the charger the LED turns ORANGE (i guess ).
I guess it's pretty bad...
Is there anything i can do ? Can it be fixed? What is the problem now ..?(fried battery maybe ?)

Sony Care in my country (Romania) seems to be a pain in the ass ..
My phone is bought from USA and i have wordlwide warranty ... I called sony some time ago and they told they can't give me warranty here in ROmania, they did not say why even more that lady even refused to tell me if there is any authorized/partner service in my city.
Anyway ...regarding the issue in this post .. I took my phone to a service ..they treated(cleaned or whatever) for water and oxide and it works fine now. No parts were damaged. It cost me like 20€.

Phone crashed, won't boot back up

So, 2 months ago I sent my phone off to be repaired after being water damaged, they replaced the motherboard all was well. So Locked Bootloader, no root.
2 weeks ago my phone was simply sitting on my desk when it decided to power down (at 80%), nothing would bring it back (no signs of life). I tried plugging the phone in etc. So i sent the phone to get repaired again, and surprise surprise, it worked perfect for them no errors found.
Recently received my phone back from the repair shop, turned it on (power cord plugged into PC) worked fine until i went into play store where the phone died completely again., tried hard restart, little yellow square restart button etc etc. Following advice from another forum I left my phone charging for 12 hours (no lights / vibrations) with no luck.
A couple of minutes ago i tried (because why not) to power it on, while unplugged it booted up fully, at this stage i saw it was at 13% battery and have it currently charging, with the amber light on and phone operational. Although i am still worried that going back into play store will crash it again.
Any ideas on what this is or how to resolve it?

Help: Note 9 suddenly died

I pre-ordered the note and received it on Aug 22. But it is dead today. I full charged it this morning and then went to airport. When I seated in the plane, I noticed there was about 90% battery. Then started to play a game of 2048, a small and simple game, about 30-45 minutes. Then the screen was frozen and went completely black with no sign of life. Try to reboot with different ways, but no luck. Off the plane, try to contact Samsung customer service, but wasn't able to get connected. Any one has any idea what happened to the phone?
How to remove all the contents inside the phone given its current condition?
Thank you in advance.

Is it charging if you connect cable?
Try booting into safe mode or boot to recovery mode n see if it boots in.
Try to contact Samsung customer service first to get warranty before doing any fix by yourself.
