[Q] Black spot after lollipop update - Verizon Motorola Droid Turbo Q&A, Help & Troublesh

Hey, I'm not sure if my problem is because the lollipop ota, but today I noticed in the front camera a black spot that wasn't there before, any suggestions?
I unlocked the bootloader, so I don't know if Motorola will make valid my warranty in case of a faulty hardware.
Thanks!

[Q] Strange behaviour

So the top of my screen is dead, the usual spot to die on these things, but now im getting the broken screen error forcing me to use the buttons. Ive read this is a software or hardware issue, but i flashed multirom and bliss but the issue still exists in bliss. im on 24a, if i flash 26a bootstack will it screw up my 24a, also is there anyway to fix my screen, tried the firmware update in the hidden menu, tried other kernals, any ideas?
halp pls
If you have the dead spot, nothing you can do. Warranty that bad boy if you can!

From what I've read from others that had the problem, yes, it's covered. Just make sure and tot or kdz back to stock before you send it in. You might get a refurb, but that is a guess. I sent mine in for an unrelated issue and got back a brand new one.

[Q] Camera replacement and possible mainboard issue?

Hi there,
Like others' M7, my One has problem with the camera module (the annoying purple tint). I decided to bring the phone to HTC's local Service Center (Myanmar) and they said they would replace the camera free of charge. However, if there is something wrong with the mainboard I have to pay $200 for mainboard replacement, they added (as they have to put in the 'original firmware' after replacing the camera module). Because of their words, I think it's too risky because I have no idea how they will fix the camera issue and how could it brick my phone.
They only asked that whether the phone is rooted or not and I said yes. And because of that they said as my phone is rooted there might me problem if they replace the camera and reflash their firmware. Anyone can explain their camera replacement procedure and firmware reflashing? And is it safe to leave the phone for camera replacement without worrying that I will have to pay $200 for the not-so-sure issue?
My M7 is:
- S-OFF with SuperCID
- Unlocked
- Using lastest firmware 6.09.401.10
- Custom ROM (MIUI)
Thank you so much

[Q] Display dead: Vertical coloured lines appear

I just got the lollipop update and was going through the new features when all of a sudden the display went blank and then some coloured lines started to appear vertically on the screen. It was connected to the charger when this happened.
Anyone has any idea what caused this? :crying:
Is this a hardware or a software issue? Is it anywhere related to the lollipop update? If yes then how do I go back to kitkat when my screen doesn't show anything
Its not even one month and this happens. Should I return it to flipkart (the online store where I bought it from) and get a new piece or should I go to Motorola service center who charge Rs.6000(approx $100) for a new display.
(this is my first post so please forgive me if it's not according to the rules or if there are any mistakes)
If you haven't unlocked your bootloader you are covered my Motorola Warranty..They will replace your display free of charge...
BTW if you are still within the flipkart Returns limit contact them and have them give you a new phone..

I haven't unlocked the bootloader so yeah I hope motorola service is good here and they dont take weeks to get it done.
So you think its a hardware issue right?

The only way i know to check if it is a hardware issue is to flash a different ROM and see if the display works... I'm not sure about your phone but in a laptop this can happen due to an incompatible display driver or if the GPU is shot....And you can't revert to kitkat without rooting and voiding your warranty.... Better play safe and get the phone looked at by Motorola...

Screen issue

Hey guys.
I bought a used Xperia Z today.
The seller changed the screen and the battery, and the phone was pretty much cheap(130$).
But now,I have a issue with the LCD.
The exact same one this video shows:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DoAF3Ry-CsM
Now,I dont know if it is software related(highly unlikely) or a hardware issue, but could it be that the seller connected the screen improperly?
The back cover glue is bad,so I can check it out,and I will, after the phone recharges.
My thoughts are that I have to get a new screen. Am I correct?
I will wait for the phone to recharge, and then I will try upgrading it to Lollipop with FlashTool, and if that wont work,I will open the phone and look for the issue.
Hello, did you fin a solution for the problem ? I have the same issue.

LG G4 T-Mobile Static Screen Glitch

Hello All,
I'm using LG G4 H811 T-Mobile variant updated to Marshmallow. The phone was network locked at first, so I unlocked it by some paid service (not via official app). Since then I am facing this problem. Sometimes the whole screen turns white and then colored static Screen shows up. So I had to pull the battery and turn put it back and start my phone. It worked normally after doing this. But now the problem is severe and the colored static Screen Glitch seems permanent. It all started when I got it Network unlocked.. I don't think it's hardware issue. Seems like a software issue. If anyone else is facing it or willing to help me with a solution, I'd be thankful.
Attaching a picture of the problem for reference.

if you think its a software do a factory reset .. or better yet flash stock firmware using LGUP.
