Can someone please help me? I installed CWM recovery 5.5 and now my phone always enters in it after powering up. Some kind of loop.I restart the phone...enters CMW...on and on.
I found a tutorial but it's for Asus transformer prime, and my phone won't cold boot. I tried Volume down + power, and i didn't find any tutorial how to cold boot i9001.
Can i fix the cwm loop? Can i go back to my old recovery ,the stock one?

Your Bootloader is messed up.
1. Goto Downloadmode
2. Extract AriesVE.ops from Ariesve.zip and Insert AriesVE.ops @OPS in Odin
3. extract boot_loader.tar from bootloader.zip and insert boot_loader.tar in Odin @BOOT
4. Flash
Reboot and it should boot to Android

First powerdown, pull out Battery, SIM CARD, and EXT.SD card, press power button for a minute, than powerup without SIM and Ext.SD Card....
Try a solution from My Android Solutions
(Do remember to backup your contacts, data, images etc and also your EFS folder before flashing a ROM and make sure you have more than 50% battery charge before you attempt any sort of flashing.)

Dear friend,
I have the same problem as the Author. I installed CMW v5.5.0.4 so I flash cyanogen ICS.
Anyway, I entered Downloadmode, I connected to Odin and did as you said.
As a result, when the phone is shut down
a. When I press the power button, "Samsung" logo appears, and then black screen forever. Then I remove battery.
b. When I press Vol Up + Power button, it enters CMW (but when I select "Reboot now" it goes samsung-blackscreen like"a"
c. When I press Vol down+power+home key, it goes to downolad mode (I did a 2nd time what you suggested, but Nothing improved).
Please help, I am desperate.

I've put the cwn 6.0 and the problem is gone now, no loop,...works fine, ..i've tried some games/apps, and it seams that not all of them are working ,..but it's ok , the root and the ICS will do
i9001 bootloop
this is the only thing it worked for me:
Put this file on sdcard
Load it via recovery with "install from sdcard"
it will automatically reboot the phone
once solved, copy to sdcard and restore attached stock recovery.img or don't reboot into recovery again, as it will bootloop again:
from within phone, start terminal emulator and type:
su <enter>
dd if=/sdcard/recovery.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p13 <enter>
of course, needs root
---
i installed supposed "stable" twrp 2.2.1 and it produced bootloop into recovery
don´t know if last twrp 2.4.1.0 or cmw 6.0.3.7 for stock roms will solve it but i won't try, i restored stock recovery.img from a backup i made with "online nandroid backup"
bootloop is veeeeeeery common in i9001, the fix above that worked for me erases (fills with zeros) param partition mmcblk0p14, a partition for temporary commands that non-stock recoveries don't erase before rebooting and cause bootloops

AMAZING!!! You are a lifesaver. :highfive:
I had bricked my Galaxy S Plus after flashing TWRP which caused a recovery bootloop. I tried using download mode to reflash bootloader using Odin but my PC said "USB device not recognized". I tried tons of drivers, factory resets/system format(which was a bad decision), different cables and even PCs but I couldn't get my device recognized at all. I thought the phone was a paperweight now but I finally found your post and successfully booted my phone to unofficial CM12 without any problems!
Thanks a lot once again!!:good:
haha
perfect it worked for you! another smartphone saved!!
nice my explanation helped you!
you are welcome
Hi there,
I think I have flashed an incomplete downloaded rom on my phone in CWM and has now messed up my phone, i made a nandroid back up to my external SD card before the process. After flashing i then tried to restart my phone from philz touch latest version and my phone is now in a bootloop. I cant enter CWM again and cant enter either flash mode or fast boot mode - evey time I plug in my USB cable the LED turns red straight away even though i hold the volume up/down button.... I have tried to do this several times and even after hard resetting it - anything i could do now without flash mode or fastboot working - maybe ADB or something
Thanks

It says error device not found and then waiting for device during the boot loop - even though a red light comes up on LED when i plug in USB cable from pc and then the bootloop just starts again
Should I wait for it to charge to nearly full battery before trying again?

Hi,
After restoring an original copy of build.prob file, the phone no longer boots and is stock in reboot loop.
I've already made a nandroid copy, but I can't boot into recovery to use it, all I see is sony logo then it reboots.
The LED light doesn't turn on, the only way to stop the loop is either pressing the small yellow button or the power+volume up (witch vibrates three times then turns off).
I tried:
- booting with the volume up, doesn't run at all.
- booting with the volume down, boot into same the loop.
- pressing volume up/down multiple times after the first vibration.
- connecting it to PC Companion, doesn't install the drivers (keeps rebooting).
Can I boot into recovery? or do I have to flash a firmware?
KitKat 23.0.A.2.93
Locked Bootloader
DualRecovery installed
Thanks.
You seemed to have lost either root or r/w access, and XZDR won't work any more.
Use Flashtool to flash 23.0.A.2.93 again without wiping /data and do the giefroot + XZDR thing again to regain root. Holding VOL- while it's shut down again and plugging in the USB cord gets it into Flash mode.

Already did that (flashed system only, then restored my nandroid), I was hoping to find a way to avoid doing this every time I break a system file (I restored the original copy BTW).
I'm still wondering why did this happen, Can build.prob do this?
Thanks.
Hellow everybody,
Last days I updated my phone to 5.1.1 official, to check nnew state. This update erase my root status, and I had to begin all the root process, and I did:
1) kingroot
2) SuperSU
3) Install dualrecovery (PhilZ touch)
4) Wipe davil, memory, erase internal memory and sdcard
5) Store Download: cm-12.1-20151223-NIGHTLY-honami.zip (292.74 MB) in sdcard
6) Install zip (rom)
7) Reboot phone
And here it's the problem, my phone doesn't reboot.
Without USB connected:
Normal starte: red led blink
If I press power button, power button + volume up, power button + volume down; nothing happen
USB pulgged:
Normal state: nothing happen
Power button pressed: nothing happen
Power + volume up: red led, blue led, any led, and the cycle is repeated
Power + volume down: red led, green led, any led, and the cycle is repeated
Any idea? How can I do?
It seems too bad.... I think a new movil is coming...
Thank you and regards...
Is the boot-loader unlocked? if not then you have to unlock it to install source based ROM like CM .
To restore your phone and unlock the boot-loader :
1. Flash the phone with a stock ROM using flash-tool to restore it.
2. Backup your TA partition in case you want to re-lock it again ( and to restore DRM keys ).
3. Unlock the boot-loader using Sony method (this will wipe all your phone so make sure to backup what you want).
now you have to repeat the steps you did before or flash a kernel that have a recovery builtin and jump to step 5.
I guess bootloader is still alive then.
Power off by keep pressing pw button by few seconds.
(* If it doesn't work, open the usim tray slot and press reset pin for few sec)
And.. enter the flashmode and just flash a stock firmware using flashtool.
I made a foolish mistake before- wiped system partition and reboot without flashing any firmware. However even there's no OS installed, flashmode was worked.
Thank you so much!!!!! I will try today, your news sound great! Anyway, I will post my progress (or not).
Thanks again and regards!
Edit: As Abdu99andy and PielunA says, it was solved using flashtool.
Just add a thing, it was not neccesary to flash a new rom. My device works with the previous rom flashed (CM 12.1).
Thanks!

You must unlock bootloader before installing CM.
Also, Philztouch sometimes cracks the rom. Use TWRP.
Hello,
While trying to unlock and root, I bricked the phone - as in its just staying at the Sony Xperia boot screen. Its still responding to Vol up+Power button to restart. The notification light turns red then green when using Vol down + attach USB.
This is what happened
1) Unlocked and Rooted the device, installed TWRP
2) Took back-up with TWRP
3) While wiping cache, system, etc. to prepare for installing custom ROM, also selected Internal Storage: and chose wipe and restart
Now phone is stuck at the Boot screen, tried the following
- Flashtool: Can install new kernel, but giving error when trying to install stock firmware
- ADB: Doesnt show up in the list with "adb Devices" command
- Sony Companion: Get stuck during software repair on the boot screen. On pressing Vol up+Power, the notification light turns on and stays blue.
- Sony EMMA: Recognises IMEI but says the phone is locked
Is there anyway to sideload TWRP or any other options of flashing stock firmware?
Many thanks in advance.
With Flashtool, Are you try to flash 4.4.4 stock firmware?
Thanks. It worked. Also realized that had to unlock again using flashtool
