Hi. I'm using latest build of CM 12.1 (5.1.1) with AK Kernel and everything running smooth and never closing/killing apps.
Pretty thankful to be using Android 5.1, it made the Moto G 2014 a lot faster than stock 5.0.2...

I think the latest cm12.19 (5.1.1) build with Optimus kernel(by Flashhh) is Good , No FCs smooth , and Greater multitasking with appropriate settings.

Og droid with project elite 4.2, ruby rom 2.0.2 boot.img which contains the kernel, v6 supercharger rc5 option 3, and launcher pro is ridiculous. I know I promised a few the link which I'm working on, but if you want I can send it your way.
I'm kind of stuck on which ROM I should try to flash because most of the ROMs I flash on my always get stuck on the boot animation , I'm not sure if its because I used to use SafeStrap Recovery. Any help though, it would be greatly apricated.
Your supposed to have a unlocked bootloader when installing anyone of these new Roms . use myth tools to unlock your bootloader.

Oh thanks ! Do you have any good recommendations on recoverys with links and for ROMs also ?
Twrp is good and carbon is my personal favorite but try one at a time to see which one is good for you its all about your personal taste.

The new touch cwm works real good and I run PACMAN.
Sent from my PACMAN MATRIX HD MAXX
My current favourite is HoloBlur with PurePerformance. The battery life is quite good, it's fast, and stable.
I run CWM touch recovery.
For ROMs: HoloBlur X (PurePerformance) is a beatiful stock based ROM to get your feet wet.
CM 10.2 and BeanStalk 4.3 are the 2 best custom ROMs I have ever had the pleasure of using. Carbon is great but the battery life just isn't up to par with BeanStalk or CM for me, plus since Carbon jumped ship to 4.3, a lot of features don't work like Trebuchet settings and PIE. PACman 4.3 is awesome but I would wait for a new nightly from Skeevy that reports better battery. As it is now, it is too laggy and unstable to use everyday (for me at least). Don't even mess with Uxylon or SLIM, play store and mobile data are broken on those.
If you don't mind freezes/crashes once in a while, you could run CM10.2 nightlies and automatically update them using Cyandelta. If you want to go CM nightlies, use CWM 3.0.3.4 (in the last 2-3 pages of the 3.0.3.2 thread) but if you're going to use PAC or Holoblur, you can use CWM 3.0.3.6 touch.

illusion is really good too
CWM TOUCH and ProBam is Awesomeness if you are into customization and great performance

How are you using TWRP? I can't find an official build on their site or unofficial build in development section.

Twrp for the RAZR HD won't run correctly on the atrix. Use cwm touch if you want touch.

Yeah, the RAZR TWRP has messed up touch points, and CWM touch works fine, unless you're on the official CM nightlies and updating with Cyandelta like me.
I still don't know what the hell cyan delta is lol.

Which is best cm12 rom right now....plz give your review i wanna try
Sent from my XT1068 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Best cm12 based rom is pacman for me...but all cm12 roms have memory management problems.
Sent from my Moto G 2014
AICP is fastest but not long. I installed 80 apps and it slow down worse than cm12. PAC have little features
Stay on Stock for the moment, or flash Titan Prime.
Fast, stable and RAM issues are non-existing.
Running 50 hours straight already on it, still 25% battery left.
And if you install Xposed correctly, you get all the features found on CM12 based ROMs.
I will switch to AOSP or CM12 based ROMs once 5.1 comes in and settles down.
I am using cm12 official and i like to use cm becoz in that we can apply themes

you'll get as many answers as there are ROMs. Just read the ROM threads and try out the ones that sound interesting to you.
There is also a review thread somewhere

Like others have said, do a nandroid and try them out. Personally, Benzo + Vindicator kernel are my daily's.

As do I. Its the built in kernel now I believe.
I also recommend benzo rom. features galore! very smooth., however it uses the theme engine for themes.
if you prefer layers for themes then i recommend chroma rom
I tried CM 12.1 on my moto g 2nd gen XT1068 but the battery life was pathetic. So I got back to stock 5.0.2 . Please suggest me a better rom with good battery life like the stock rom and with great customisation. Many rooms are available now a days calling themselves stable but they r based on CM. very confusing. need help.
I have the same doubt, my last two roms was quantum os and pac rom. Quantum is closed, pac Rom have no updates since 19 July. :\
The rom is great, but if someone knows a better than this one, please tell me.
Enviado do meu Moto G 2014 através de Tapatalk
TeamEOS, SOKP, AICP, Mokee, BlissPop, Team Radium, Resurrection Remix these rooms are based On CM and Tesla, infinitive OS these rooms are based on Slim Rom. These all are demanding to be stable roms. But CM itself is nightly release for Titan. Need help to clarify the confusion. please suggest me a rom with good battery optimisation like the default stock rom. That would be very helpful. Thank you.
I've been regularly having more than 4.5hours screen time with blisspop, and I know I could stretch that to 6 with my use. I don't play games and mostly use XDA, reddit, voat, and chrome.

I am currently on Resurrection Remix and I must say that the battery life isnt bad its pretty must the same as on a stock rom. I know you said its cm based but give it a go and see, also try to follow some guides with kernel adiutor for better battery performance and when testing it try it for at least 3 days, i dont know why but the first day never gives me good battery results.

The default until you know better. Mileage always varies. Your usage will not match mine for example. But to be honest, I've had best luck with stock kernel.

People seem to like the ROM in my signature. Although it's never going to be marked stable or be more than a nightly.

Have a look here in the second post: recommended settings for stellar kernel
http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g-2014/development/stock-stellarkernel-v1-t3085277
my advice is you should try the stellar kernel with titan prime v1.1.1, based on stock and very stable .
here is the titan prime rom thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g-2014/development/rom-titan-prime-rom-1-0-0-t3141853
So guys, your opinion on : Stock or CM based ROM? Except the features that CM gives
My phone is running cm12.1 and I'm a heavy user I will get over 5 hours of onscreen time. I do use xposed installer with amplify and greenify. We have been loads of updates and battery life remains stable. Hope this gave a bit of insight.
