Can anyone help me figure out why every time i attempt to download a factory image from the google developers site, i get download failed??? Ive been trying to download the 5.1.0 image for my dads nexus 6 for over 2 weeks now...on my phone, tablet and his macbook with safari, firefox and chrome.
It's a bit tricky, but it's only affecting you so for aiding in your troubleshooting it's your computer, router, network, broadband.

And why would you download the image on your phone or tablet? It needs to be on the computer with your Android SDK.

Works only with Samsung phones with Mobile Odin Pro (if it even still works that is).

I've tried on my Verizon fios wifi and my nexus 6's wifi hotspot with my imac and his macbook, my dad's nexus 6's wifi hotspot and his Verizon fios on his macbook. this is crazy. every single download attempt fails? no one else is experiencing this? I can not figure this out. I thought I literally ruled out any other possibility than trouble on the google dev website, but literally we are the only ones experiencing this? I'm at a loss...
PS: thanks for responding respectfully unlike cam30era.

Did you ever figure out what was wrong? Im having the exact same problem, except it only fails with firefox. And only the nexus factory images. Nothing else causes a problem.
Try a different browser? It could simply be an issue with Firefox.

Ridiculous that Google has taken 3 months (and counting) to issue a fix or even acknowledge publicly that there is a problem with Jellybean devices connecting to many WPA2 Enterprise Wireless networks. This is going to hurt them badly with folks at Universities and companies. I've already had to steer many folks away from the Nexus 7 because of this problem that Google refuses to fix (or as I said even acknowledge it exists). http://code.google.com/p/android/is...s Owner Summary Stars&groupby=&sort=&id=34212
Even the freakin' Kindle Fire which wasn't able to connect to WPA2 Enterprise Networks at launch was issued an update and was able to in a shorter time frame than it's taking Google to address this issue on our Nexus 7's (and all Jellybean devices).

I haven't been able to get on the 8021.x at work since moving to ICS on my phone, JB the same.. It tries, fails for no reason... At least on Gingerbread I could make it work, even if I had to use another app to configure it. ICS/JB seems to set it up properly from the get-go, but even if I tweak it to the exact same settings I had before, still doesn't work. Meh.
this issue is seriously driving me NUTS
If it's bothering you guys, click on the Star icon in that google link that was posted. That's how Google prioritizes bugs.
Still, unless it's something that's a security hole, they probably won't update until the next version.
There was a touchscreen bug in 2.1 in older devices that sucked up CPU time when you touched the screen so it effectively killed off use of the phone for most games. It wasn't fixed until 2.2 and a lot of phones were EOL'd at 2.1
Thank goodness for Cyanogen. If you want an update sooner, the custom rom way is the quickest...

Did not help me or some others in the thread but worth trying if you haven't.
Anyone try this with the 4.1.2 OTA? I did, and no luck. It didn't automatically configure correctly, and once corrected, it still wouldn't connect. Maybe it helped some folks in some other way though, as there were specific wpa_supplicant fixes in the OTA.
I haven't been able to connect to my wifi at work ever since i got my N7 and JB on my GN phone. Since updating to 4.1.2 on my N7 though I can now connect to my WPA wifi at work. FINALLY!

I haven't been able to sign into Motorola Connect on my laptop pass couple of days, anyone else having connection issues?
Mine is down too. Seems to be stuck trying to sign back in.
Remove then re-add. This happens to me frequently (including today).
having the same issue here. removing and re-installing has yet to help.
i am stuck on the signing in page and it won't go any further. given that this seems to be effecting many i hope for a fix soon.
Removed extension, re-installed, even deleted chrome profile and made a new one, still won't connect.
Yeah ignore my previous post. I uninstalled and reinstalled twice and it started working again both times for a short period... but then it stopped working again, and I haven't gotten it to work since.
I have been trying it for hours now, no luck. Hopefully it's just down for maintenance, I have gotten very used to it.
i hope that this does not have something to do with moto being sold.
Does motorola lost device service work for you? For me it says to enable motorola In device managers.
Yeah it's not active after three days for me, I just reset the Motorola Connect client on phone and computer.

I have been trying to download xposed modules (and even the latest xposed framework) all day. Each time it just sits there "Download waiting...." forever till it fails. I just tried to download one of the module apk files via my desktop browser, and it is sitting there for about 4 minutes not "connecting".
So far I do not see anyone else complaining about this so I do not know what is up.

Its one of like 7-10 modules I have tried to dl today and they do not work. I have tried them via the app and from the website. Both fail to download (the website gives "Error code: ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT" after a minute or two).

I can download that just fine. Are you sure you're not behind a firewall that's blocking connections to xposed (an aggressive/stupid firewall to block adult content comes to mind, because "xposed")?

Actually nevermind. It must be box. My wifi did not turn off properly. I just tried again via my phone connection and it is working. I wonder if its a dns issue or if cox is blocking it.

Try turning off wifi and using your phones connection. Also, please reply with your general location and your ISP so I can try to determine if its dns or location based.

I'm using Cox as well in Norfolk, VA.
When I switch to mobile data network on AT&T it downloads just fine. This is ridiculous, I've never had restrictions on this ISP before. I'm about to call cox right now. I don't pay $55 a month for some fascist ISP to tell me what I can and can't connect to, especially when it's not even a site that is not breaking any copyright laws, this isn't China.

I have, for years. They block high profile irc networks dns by redireting it to their own server (which then auto joins your user to a channel and tries to run a lot of botnet commands to uninstall a botnet client in the event you are compromised). I used to have to deal with this a lot years ago when I was on irc frequently. They will deny it, but they have been doing stuff like that for years.
Then again, it could be some sort of dns issue that will work itself out.

I'm having the same issue here in South East US. To make a long story short, I couldn't download any modules so I thought maybe to uninstall my Xposed app and reinstall. Now I can't even install the Xposed Framework. Like you said, it just times out. I just rooted a new phone and I desperately need my Xposed! I have the APK saved to my device and can reinstall from their however this doesn't help because I still can't install modules through the framework. Any suggestions???

I'm not sure what support you think anyone can provide. The repo works fine for most people, indicating that there's nothing wrong with it and the problem is almost certainly something at your end.

It just strange that this is happening and I'm reading reports where people other than me seem to be having the same issue. I guess I was hoping for some direction or trouble shooting suggestions from XDA forums as I honestly wouldn't know of a better place to search for assistance. Is there any suggestions that might help me back track the issue. I've honestly tried everything I know. I purposely side loaded two third party apps and those installed flawlessly. It's only the xposed framework application and it's modules I'm having trouble with... timing out and not installing. The modules I have pre existing on my SD installed fine, it's only when trying trying to download from within the Xposed framework that doesn't install. I show an update available for one of my existing modules and it won't even update.... same thing, it just times out. Again, any assistance or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
This seems to be a network related issue, rather than a problem with the repo. I have updated several modules over a couple of days with no issues and this problem only seems to be affecting a small amount of people.
Are you using the same internet provider as others in the thread? I can only think they blocked it as GermainZ said earlier. Perhaps a visit to the support forum of your provider might help, even to check if anyone else reported this issue.

Same exact problem in Buffalo, NY. Was working fine yesterday.
I've searched and didn't find a thread regarding my issue.
Everyday whenever I come home from work I'm having trouble reconnecting to my WiFi at home. My Nexus 7 , Nexus 4 and ever my GF's LG G3 connects to it. My nexus 6 on the other hand never connects Automatically. I'm always given the "Authentication Error" until I reboot. Is this a known issue or is it just me?

Before you do, do what I suggested. It is irrelevant that other devices connect. I work in IT support and it is very common that the router causes an issue with just 1 of several devices connecting. 90% chance that in your case it is not the router, but this should always be your first step. This is why I suggested you should do it.

Turns out its an issue with my phone. T-Mobile will send a new one tomorrow. And since I'm in the Jump Program I'll get it in a day. Bad news is I tried getting the white version but can't since it has to be the same. Meh
Thank you though
For reference, my phone has the problem too sometimes. I assumed is was ROM related however.
Last night it wouldn't connect to my AC1900 for over 10 mins. Multiple reboots of both. Then will periodicslly disconnect. Also took over 5 minutes to reconnect to cellular data after disabling WiFi.
I am having the same problems. The way I know it's not my phone or rom. Because it kicks everything off the computer ps4 other phones. It's the router I read on Google that sometimes you have to update the router drivers. I tried that but of course you need a user name and password. Since it's not mine and the person's that it belongs to has not a clue? We know the password for the wifi but not to configure the router. Especially since the router is about 5yrs old we have know disc or the computer it was set up on.

One other thing you could try. Go to the manufacturer's website, and download the owner's/setup guide. It usually lists the default username and password. By chance, if it's a Motorola, the default password is often "motorola".
I get the authentication error no matter what Rom I use, and I get the error on all the WiFi networks I connect to. How did you come up with it being the phone? It seems like it has to be.

I had the same problem : asked RMA Google play store
I've seen all the problems about Lollipop and Wifi not connecting. However, my problem is different. I connect just fine AND I'm getting 31 ms ping, 60mbps down and 12mbps up. However, my internet browsing is slow, Facebook is slow, you tube is slow. Pretty much anything I need is slow except that my e-mail comes in, although if I need to synch anything, but my inbox (because that's pushed) it's slow as well. Even the speed test takes a while to load up, but when it does these are the results I get. The only solutions I find are about problems not connecting to the internet. Even that being the case I tried those remedies with no luck. Also my wife who just got a Moto X has the same problems. Hmmm both phones are made by Motorola I'm wondering is this is a coincidence. I should say I wasn't having these problems a few weeks ago they just kind of started and my wife had a Moto G that didn't have these problems. This combined with bluetooth issues is making it very hard for me to keep believing in Android as much as I want to. Any thoughts or help on this is greatly appreciated.

All other devices such as my laptop, roku box and other smartphones don't have these same issues on my wifi. As far as using other wifi' with my smartphone it varies - some are good and some are not. Which makes me think it's having trouble with certain routers or their settings.

I've already tried all the suggestions. However, I can't adjust other routers that I don't have control over. So it's frustrating that it doesn't work better on more routers.
btw, what kind/brand of router are you using? maybe someone is using the same or similar that can give some advice.
I am seeing the exact same thing on a used Nexus 6 that I just picked up. It seems to only happen (so far) on my work's WiFi, although even that just started within the past couple of days. It works fine on the WiFi at home.
Since I purchased the N6 to use with Project Fi which relies heavily on WiFi, this is putting a serious damper on things.
I'm looking for any suggestions or even just confirmation that me and jdekoven aren't the only ones.
I have the same problem with my Nexus 6, Nexus 4 and Nexus 10, all on either 5.1 or 5.1.1. It happens on my home Comcast X1 router/cable modem. It is not a problem with my Chromebook or Windows 7 PC.
It is not a problem at my office which has an Asus router and Cox cable modem.
This problem appeared recently, definately since 5.0, but maybe more recently (especially the Nexus 6, which I have only noticed the problem for a week or 2), and is only a problem for me on my home Comcast network.
I've had this same issue for a few days now. Just plugged my Asus router into the Xfinity box and once setup, WiFi is perfect using the other router. I'm assuming its due to background updates in the Xfinity box not playing nice with the phone. Dunno. But swap routers if you can.
