Hi there guys please help me out, i was trying to update a friend's s3 mini. I dowloaded cm 12.1 and some gapps he already had twrp 2.4.3.0, so i delete eerthing (factory reset) and delete cache and davlik cache, well , when i tried to install cm 12.1 says error flashing, i don't remember very well, but anyways now the cellphone is in a bootloop and i don't know what to do. i have some questions.
¿i have to update the trwp in order to install cm 12.1?
¿if i have to update the twrp how i do it if the cellphone is in a bootloop?
The cellphone start always in trwp so think is not dead. at least yet.

Mhhm,
Did you install using Odin or via CWM?
Try installing another ROM with CWM.
If that doesn't work, try to install Stock ROM back.

Stock ROMs from Samsung can be found here: http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/
Search for your device in the search bar.
Type: ''GT-I8190N''.
Download the right ROM. (Your country and eventually your provider).
Download and install Odin 3.07 (if you hadn't already).
Download and install Samsung Drivers for mobile phone. (If you hadn't already).
How to flash:
1) Go into recovery mode and perform a factory reset.
2) Open Odin Downloader.
3) Turn system off and go into Download mode.
4) Connect device to PC using USB cable.
5) Odin should recognize your phone now, if not: Check if Samsung Drivers have been installed correctly.
6) Click on PDA and add the file you have just downloaded from sammobile.
7) Make sure ''Auto Reboot'' and ''F. Reset Time'' is enabled.
8) Press start and wait untill the installation is finished.
9) Done.
If you are not familiar with this, ask me for more details and I'll explain more.

Try via Odin
Sent from my GT-I8190
big problem
I have the same problem after flash the last rom of maclaw (5.0.0).
Twrp recovery seems to enter in bootloop too. Also tried Odin on download mode, but the computer(windows 8.1) doesn't reconize the usb drivers (and i have installed the samsung drivers downloaded from MacLaw website).
Any alternatives?
Thank you anw
you need to perform wipe data/dalvik cache and system, you can do this via TWRP or CWM (but i recommend using TWRP since i use it every time i flash my device with new ROM)
dont forget to use the latest recovery tool that support to flash your ROM.
and after installing the ROM dont reboot it yet, you need to wipe/dalvik cache again.
i hope this help

Hey everyone,
I found an Official update for my device from CyanogenMod Download Site.
I search any forum if available here about this ROM, unfortunately i cannot be able to find any form related to this ROM. Then i download 5.1 Gapps and download the ROM CyanogenMod 12.1. i wipe dalvik , userdata , cache and system. then flash both of the zip files ive downloaded. As i was using 12.0 Cyanogen i dont think i need to flash Cyanogen snapshot as it require for 12.0 to solve the BootLop. After flashing my phone is stuck on the booting animation since 20-25mins then i force reboot my phone into Recovery then i flash the SNAPSHOT and then reboot for once it works fine for me, then i just flash 12.1 and L gapps on the phone and then reboot, unforunately im facing the same problem from last hour. I dont know how to make 12.2 Cyan to work on my phone wihtout bootlop.
If anyone knows how to remove the bootlop then please let me know, thanks

Hmmm...I was on CM12 and wiped everything (cache, dalvik cache, system, data) so I clean flashed CM12.1 and GApps 5.1, after 2-3 mins it booted ok. So I guess flashing CM11 first is not needed. Just try again idk...:/

Download from Cyanogenmod site the last nightly of CM for THEA (http://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=thea)
Put it in the micro SD card of your phone (using another phone or the card reader of your PC if it has one)
In TWRP install the ROM from the external SD (and Gapps if you want to use them)
In this situation I think that the above method is the only one, but wait for other answers, it could be that someone can show you better ways.
when I tried to install CM 12.1 the same way you said .. the phone gave me a failure message

Can you report that message?
The first time you install a ROM after a system wipe (as you described), TWRP gives an error message, but, after system reboot (by TWRP function), the phone starts normally and CM starts the standard update procedure
I am not sure what do you mean exactly but the installation of cm 12.1 didn't even start
gave me error message .. I think that cm rom need stock rom to install over it
now I just want to install the official firmware .. but I didn't found any rom img files yet
I thank every one can help me ... it's my only phone :crying:

Mmh, it's a strange situation. I wiped system memory about three/four time on my phone (and also on my friend's phone) and the procedure I described to you worked for me every time. But the error message, in my case, was after CM installation and not before, as in your case.
Did you check the MD5Sum (or SHA) of the downloaded file to make sure it was not corrupted? The error you received can be related to a corrupted file...
Lastly take a look at this tool:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/mot...dows-tool-moto-g-2015-xt1072-restore-t3124915
I've never tried it but it seems to be suited to your case.
what i'm trying to do is installing lollipop on my s advance
i was coming from CM11 by epirex, and i decided to try his SlimLP; did all the wipes, flashed rom and gapps with no error at all, and then the phone endlessly rebooted into TWRP
so i did a deep clean installing jb with odin; then rooted, installed cwm, flashed MaxiCM this time without gapps and... again the phone only boots into recovery.
what can i do? can this mean that my phone is dying?
