USB device not recognised (ME572CL) - MeMO Pad 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Guys, hope you can help me. When I connect my memo pad (was JP version, but flashed with WW lollipop firmware) to my computer (Win 8.1) it is suddenly not being recognised. Get the message "The last usb device you connected to this computer malfunctioned and Windows does not recognise it." Also "adb devices" command in flashtools returns no device.

Solved
I sorted this problem out by myself - seems it was a driver problem, installed the drivers from Intel (link in the zenfone 2 general section resources thread) and works fine again.

[Q] Odin4.43 problem.

Hi..
I am facing an issue with Odin v4.43 .
My Laptop specs are :
USB3.0
HP-pavilion dv6 - 7023Tx (intel i7 3610QM)
OS : Windows 8 -64 bit
.
When i run this application and connect my samsung galaxy S plus device through USB cable, It don't detect Comport nor even displayed "Added" in Message box.
I even installed its 64 bit USB driver but still not. Why?
==================================================================
Whenever i run this application through my old laptop (P4, OS is Windows 7 32 bit and USB2.0 ).
It works and detect the comports and display added in message box.
How could i solve this issue in my new Laptop because i 'll have to leave my old laptop.
Did you already try this:

I was having same problem when I tried to flash with odin (not 4.43). I managed to install the drivers using Heimdall suite 1.3.1. Heimdall comes with drivers folder and a application called zadig inside the drivers folder. It did not work right away but after trail and error it finally showed up as samsung usb driver. sometimes you have to restart your phone to be recognised by your computer. I did on windows 7 too and also I have i9000M. Hopefully will work for you too.
Thanks osterizerble, i have tried many times with different approaches but didn't work.
This is an issue with this machine or might be with 64 bit OS to install its accurate driver completely.
It works smoothly in my old machine without any effort.
It seems Odin V4.43 have the capability to operate through 32-bit systems too.
Thats' the restrictions , i think so.
I have Windows 8 x 64 bit too and I have already successfully flashed a stock Rom to my SGS using Odin.
I used an older version of Odin, I think it's version 1.3.
But my phone wasn't recognized immediately by the PC.
I think it took 2 or 3 times re-starting and re-booting my phone & PC before my phone was finally recognized by Odin.
I used the USB drivers from SamHaLeKe's thread:

Thansk Gripping and everyone for putting an effort of resolution.
Gripping I am pretty sure,Odin 4.43 will not work.
because i have been tried too mauch with every USB driver with Samsung Kies and after uninstalling it too.
I used SAMSUNG USB Drivers for Mobile Phones (x86 & x64) v1.5.16.0 driver too but it couldn't worked.
Yes Old , I think Odin 3 V1.8 detect Comports and display a message "Added" in Message box.
But i have tried it too, it start flashing and then stuck in no limit of time.
Moreover, i 'll make another try today night again. Hope this may help but i have already tired with it .
It's a good thing nothing happened to your phone when it got stuck in the middle of flashing.
It happened to me twice already, during flashing via Odin, it got stucked and won't continue running. (In my old Windows 7 and recently with Windows 8)
I have no choice but to close Odin and disconnect my phone.
After disconnection, my phone became "hard-bricked". No buttons responding whatsoever.
I was lucky (twice already) to revive my phone and brought it to download mode by doing the following:
1. remove the battery for a few minutes
2. connect the phone to PC via USB cable
3 press the vol down - home button - power buttons and at the same time insert the battery.
After reviving my phone, flashing via Odin became smooth already.
My computer is still giving a same message.
USB drive not recognized and when i come into the device manager, it display 3 wrong things in Other devices.
-> PCI Device
-> Unknown device.
->Unknown device.

i have already tried with it.
As i Gripping suggest in his first post.
My computer is not recognizing this device.
Moreover, i have tried with solution again but same response.
It says "The best software for your device is already installed".
but i connect my phone, it add three more devices with error as i mentioned in above post.
It shows in device manager "SAMSUNG USB Composite Device".
and when i see the device status
it displays
This device cannot start. Code 10
A request for the USB BOS descriptor failed.

[Solved] Mass storage not working after failed root

Hi,
Im using a stock v30a rom and windows 7.
Yesterday i tried to root my phone with the latest version of AIO tool.
I followed instructions to the letter but while rooting the screen remained blank
AIO tool displayed a message "nvflash started" and went idle.
Rooting older versions was a matter off seconds so after a while i figured nothing
is going to happen and unplugged the usb cable.
The AIO tool then displayed a "usb write error"
The phone is working fine now but when i connect it to my pc in mass storage mode
It disconnects and reconnects all the time as if i was taking the cable in and out.
I did a hard reset , reinstalled LG united phone driver but that did not help.
Update: I connected the phone to a pc at work and mass storage works fine.
Can someone please help me uninstall the nvflash driver?
Looks like the presence of both drivers confused windows.
Figured i post the solution just in case someone has
the same problem.
Remove battery plug usb cable with volume up and down pressed,
Windows recognise "Nvidia usb device" go to device manager and
uninstall its driver.
If next time you connect the phone you get "cdc serial device not
connected" error reinstall lg driver and you re done.

[Q] Fastboot and Windows 8?

Hi all,
I have recently updated to the one and am having some trouble getting the fastboot commands working. Having been rooting/unlocking my phones for a few years now and have never really found the need to sign up and ask question as you can generally find what you need to solve most problems on here.
I have updated the driver using tutorials from here using the windows 7 ones. I have done this and everything works fine, the device is recognised. I can use the adb command to get the device connected information and adb reboot into bootloader, however when I get into the bootloader and into fastboot usb a windows notification pops up saying 'USB not recognised , the usb device connected to this computer malfunctioned and windows does not recognise it.'. As expected when I try any fastboot command it says it is waiting on device and is stuck there.
Hopefully it is something stupid I am missing out and not the device.
Any help would be good.
Thanks.

[Q] Unlocking bootloader, stuck at fastboot, problem found

Hi guys,
having exactly the same problem as here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/desire-500/help/help-rooting-desire-500-t3100840
In short:
1. Trying to unlock bootloader
2. PC and ADB recognize phone withouth problems.
3. As soon as I enter fastboot (manually or per adb command), I get the error:
Unknown USB Device (Device Failed Enumeration)
After trying to get this done over 6 hours, I figured out (as also figured out in that post), that the fault is actually Windows 10.
Microsoft Windows 8.0 and higher (I have Windows 10) use their own USB integrated drivers (drivers for the USB ports).
There is a solution on the internet for this.
Now the problem: I am using Windows 10 32 bit
Those solution are written for a 64 bit Version, so doesnt work with me. (and also not having USB 3.0 ports)
MY QUESTION:
Clearly, Windows 7 solves the problem. I cannot revert to Windows 7 (not my PC).
If I install Windows 7 on a Virtual Machine (on this one with Windows 10), will it use the Windows 7 USB driver or will it use the Windows 10 USB driver?
Thanks.
P.S. Any other solution how to unlock bootloader withouth accessing Fastboot?
PP:S. Just for info, having experience unlocking bootloader, rooting, installing custom-rom, overcloking on phones Huawei Ideos X3 and Sony Xperia E3
Already done
Hi Guys,
in the end I was able to get access to a Windows 7 PC and it worked just fine.
No idea if it actually works also as Windows 7 Virtual PC on a Windows 10.

Phone in download mode not recognized by PC

Hey guys, so here's my problem:
When I put my phone (TA-1052) in download/fastboot mode to unlock the bootloader, it is not recognized by my Windows 10 PC (64-bit) or Win 10 laptop (32-bit).
I've tried out different drivers and adb works fine. But as soon as I get into download mode and ask fastboot for a device list, it's gone!
The odd thing is that it doesn't show up in the device manager anymore. Windows also doesn't give the USB-connect sound when I plug in the cable.
Please help me out!
(I'm running Android Pie with the April 1st security update and I'm using the latest platform tools by Google)
