[Q] My Z1 is completely DEAD - Xperia Z1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

A few hours ago i try to Hard-Reset my Z1 because it keep restart it self while im using it. After i press ERASE ALL DATA or something like that buttons the phone went off and start again with android logo on it with some loading bars underneath. After a few minutes the screen went off, the phone restart and stuck on the booting screen. so i tried to manually restart it with long pressed on power key, didnt work so i use the OFF key in side the sim tray panel. It work and the message Android is Upgrading appears. Optimizing Apps 1 of 3. After it go through 3 of 3 the phone restart again. Same thing appears but the "1 of 3" turn into "1 of 2" AND then it repeat with 1 of 1 apps message. the screen went off again then boom! it's dead. No LED lights, cant turn the device on, charging doesn't work, PC Companion cant detect the phone. I try the "Repair device" options but still not working. Power key+Volume Up doesn't work, OFF key in the sim tray panel doesn't wok also.
Anyway i can do to bring it back?
Ps.Sorry for my bad English

Troubleshoot: Phone freezes during start-up

My phone froze so I took off the battery and restarted it. It turns on but when it gets to the Windows Mobile Start up (green screen), it just doesn't load and would shut off after. I've tried a couple of times turning it on, and same things happens. I wouldn't get pass through the start up screen.

have u got an official or custom rom?
You could try a soft-reset by inserting your stylus into the soft reset hole at the back of your phone next to the battery at the right side/ a soft-reset won't cause any lost of data.
If that doesn't work, you could try to do a hard-reset:
1. turn off the phone
2. Hold both right and left buttons (the ones right under the screen)
3. press power button, while still holding the others
4. after 2 secs release the power button and 2 secs later the other 2 buttons.
a hard-reset will cause loosing all data!

Kaiser aka TYTN2 turn off problem

Hello there!
I have a weird problem with my Tytn2. When i try to turn it off by pressing for 5 seconds the power button, it displays on the screen the regular message, that power will be turned off and i may lose data if not saved. Press ok and the power seemes to be turned off completely, because the green led won't flash. But, when i press the power button trying to turn on the device, it doesn't boot for entering the system, it just suddenly display the Orange Logo and above it a tiny black bar with the proper icon showing me that i have no phone signal at all (see picture). By pressing the "x" in the right side of the bar, the logo dissapear and appears the home screen, but the same icon is showing that i have no signal at all. I have to go to the comm manager, press once the Phone symbol which is already blue (enabled), and it sticks on the Flight mode. Press once again the Phone, and i have phone signal. The fact is that the phone it doesn't turn off completely and it hangs in a weird state (sleep mode ?). Please help me if you can! Thank you very much !

[Q] error updating to lollipop (solved)

Details:
moto x purchased from web site, for use on Tmobile
i'm currently deployed. Lucky enough to have WiFi on base and T-mobile so communication home this deployment has been amazing. Saw lollipop came out today. downloaded it. installed it. phone boots up with the regular "TOMMYBOT Mobile" and then the spinning M worlds. then it gives me the password (for the decryption). it took a min and then said some error about corrupt files and that i needed to factory reset my phone. so i pressed the button and nothing happened... so i powered down the phone. and then everything started up the same. but when i put in my password to decrypt it takes a minute and then says starting android.... and then the screen goes black. tried 5 times. longest i waited was 30min. (left it over night now, so 6 ish hours)
i can start my phone pressing the power and volum down and it brings up a fastboot menu? but even from there the factory reset option just boots my phone back up as if i pressed the power button.
any help is appriciated.
thank you,
tom
Edit: followed these instructions (cant link, motorola global portal)
and a matching youtube video and i get stuck at the dead android with the triangle "!" sign mine says "No command." under him and i cant get the next menu to open
asked for help here (link motorola forums help) they suggested verizon assistant app. the program
i've treid 3 times now. each time the start repair makes a command "getvar all" come up on the bottom half of my fast boot screen. and then thats where it stays. the "Repair" button on the right does not become clickable.
Solution:
once on the dead android screen to open the next menu it was press and hold volume up AND power for 3-5 seconds together .
from there i did the data wipe/factory reset and booting up i'm already on lollipop. of course all un clouded data lost but i'm just glad to have a phone again.

GT-N7000 stuck in both Welcome & Recovery modes!

Hi guys,
this is my first post on this comprehensive website which helped a lot in the past by reading slimmer issues and their fixes,
now I have hard one, my oldie Galaxy note, GT-N7000, stopped working with the following symptoms,
The phone suddenly stopped, black screen, I removed the battery for a minute, put it back, pressed power button the phone stuck on Welcome Samsung logo screen,
removed the batteries for a minute, pressed the 3 combination Home+Power+up the phone give the first screen of recovery Waring " A custom OS can ......, then two option Volume Up: continue and Volume down to cancel (restart phone), if I press volume down the phone black died! otherwise if I press volume up the phone go to " downloading don't turn off target" stuck forever, no other keys are responding, I had to remove the battery and start again.
when I connect to Kies, refuses the "emergency firmware recovery" as I don't have recovery code, as well as when I use "firmware upgrade and initialization" it prompt me that this device is not supported!
lastly when I am in downloading mode connecting to Kies, the application trying to connect keep circulating like trying to connect with no result.
I charged my both batteries to 100% , changed 3 PC's, used different usb cables, nothing worked.
If you have an idea to share, I would be much grateful
Regards,

HTC One M7 non-rooted, hard reboot loop - need help

I've got an AT&T HTC One M7. It's non-rooted and has stock firmware. Android updates from AT&T are installed when pushed. It's all pretty routine. As of yesterday evening, this phone started rebooting and won't stop.
If I leave it alone, it vibrates (normal startup notification), goes to the green on white "htc" screen for a few seconds, then goes blank and starts over. I can get to the bootloader screen, and I've gotten it to start in safe mode as well, but it always restarts again within a few seconds.
Things I've done/found:
- Holding down the volume down button while it restarts takes me to the bootloader menu, but the buttons don't seem to work correctly when I get there, and it always restarts again within a few seconds.
- I managed to start it in safe mode a few times--I think by holding volume up and volume down at the same time--but it restarted before I could do anything.
- I removed the SIM card. Same thing.
- I let it reboot until it died. As soon as I plugged it in, it started the same thing again.
I'm starting to think it's hardware failure, like the power button is constantly making contact, even though the button feels fine to the touch. Note that I get to the bootloader just by holding the volume down button. I don't have to touch the power button. I'm not certain whether that's normal. Can anyone give me any ideas or even just verify that it seems like a hardware problem?
