Hi All-
I am looking for advise as I have problems synchronizing my emails with Active Sync. I am using a HTC Diamond with Windows Mobile Version 6.1. My current ROM on the device is 1.37.407.2 GER and the ROM Date is 06/15/08. I am using this with a Exchange Server. I am experiencing a problem while sending emails from my device. When I hit the “Send” button then the email will be sent two or more times and it keeps staying at the “Outbox Folder”. When Looking at Active Sync – it freeze and I will get a white screen. I was able to synchronize the calendar and contacts without any problems.
I am wondering if someone knows this problem and could provide me advice on how I could get this resolved.
MANY THANKS!
Thomas
We've seen this happening, apparently MS have a hotfix in the works for exchange 2007
The same problem here !!! I had to unistall my exchange configuration !!
I do have Exchange 2007 and is no problem here like you did mentioned above, but I do have another problem, from time to time is asking me for restart and tell me "Recent changes was made to your configuration...". I did not find anything on web about this ... My guess is that is enforcing the policy to the phone but why is asking for restart so many times ?
Only e2k7 configurations which use ISA to publish EAS externally will have the problem - so you can either wait for the patch, or get the infrastructure changed to remove ISA.
As for your policy keep being reapplied - are you using a stock rom and/or the util that changes the reg keys to disable the policy settings?
I'm using SBS Exchange and everything is working fine

Hi Y'all
Google has updated the bugtracker and announced that honeycomb should have all the required security features to make exchange fully work on highly-secured exchange systems.
I tried using the apps with the security removed, but it never worked.
Does anyone now if,how and when we could possibly get the honeycomb e-mail app ported to 2.3?
Hi
I have tried all of the 4.2.2 AOSP based mods (CM 10.1, SXE, Liquid etc) and they all work beautifully on my i9305 except for ONE problem (which no one else seems to have reported!):
My Corporate Exchange email will not Push! I have checked every setting, and they are all correct. AutoSync is on, sync is set for Push. There is no possible setting that I haven't looked at.
I have tried changing out the email apps for the Samsung ones but they won't run at all once they're in system\apps.
Has anyone got any clue how I can get my i9305 to work with Exchange email push?
Thank you
hi nickjhart,
i use currently two exchange (2010) push mail accounts and it works like a charm.
to be honest - i didn't had any issue with that in any aosp rom.
here some of my ideas what you can doublecheck:
what's the release of you exchange server? does it have a valid certificate? if not ignore unvalid certificate during the creation of the account
did you get the message regarding the security policy upgrade after creating the account? did you accepted the device admin?
are you the exchange admin? maybe your device wasn't approved in exchange ecp after going to aosp. the unique device-id changes if you go from stock to aosp and the device has to be approved again.
hope this helps a bit.
best wishes,
axel

Exchange 2010. No valid certi. ignored cert. got email regarding security policy upgrade, accepted the device admin. my exchange admin has checked and device is accepted. everything is working exactly as the stock i9305 is EXCEPT for:
Push email - not working at all
Auutomatic Sync
Everything is configured exactly the same as when it works perfectly under the Samsung stock SecEmail.apk etc ...
I think it's an incompatibility between the i9305 modem and the exchange.apk in AOSP.
hmmm.

It still doesn't work. still. the rom is useless if exchange push (or autosync) doesn't work. I know it's the ROM (and the AOSP version of email) because everythign works fine with ANY samsung based rom with samsnug email app.
Hi,
I've read several news about google droping support for Active Sync.
Apparently it the deadline was yesterday 31st of July.
I've activated a WP8 device today, and I can't sync Gmail accounts.
I'm extremely frustrated with Microsoft and Google. We users are suffering for their wars...
Anyway, anyone has a workaround?
Waiting until the GDR2 update is not an option, as we got branded devices and may take months until it arrives...
Thanks in advance.

Good tip! Yeah, the Google ActiveSync server can be configured as any other ActiveSync service (which is how the phone communicates with Exchange) would be; it just requires you to configure it manually a bit.
Also, you can use IMAP to access you Gmail instead, if you want to (or if they shut off the service).
Finally, there's always the option of telling Google to get stuffed, setting up a new email account that you can sync on the phone, and setting rules in Gmail to
A) automatically forward all your mail at the gmail account to your new account
B) automatically send a reply to all mail you receive on your gmail account telling people to use the new address.
Hi,
I managed to make it work.
What I did was the following:
. enable IMAP on the Google account.
. disable threading view on the mobile.
They started working now.

Sent from my HTC Sensation
do we have anyone developing exchange security bypass app for Mi3?
MIUI - 4.4.2
I just use the exchange security bypass for AOSP rom v6.0. Calendar works but email will force close at times.
Cannot use it now since my company now needs to have the phone encrypted :crying:
