My Z3+ charging port has some rust deep inside and i have to play with the cable just to get it to charge. Had a chat with Sony USA today and they said the Z3+ is not yet supported in USA and they cannot fix it right now. I thought the Z3+ was the global version? Isn't the Z4v the same as the Z3+? need help. Thanks and ALoha!
The Z4 is the very same as the Z3+, just the name is different. The Z4 is for the Asian / Japanese market and the Z3+ is for the rest of the world.
If Sony USA isn't supporting it yet you either have to contact your vendor and return it there or find someone in a country near yours who would act on your behalf and send it to his Sony Center for repair. You can send it yourself to eg. Sony Europe but I don't think that Sony Europe will ship it to the US. Maybe they do but I guess you have to pay the shipping costs.
Try to find which country your Z3+ came from (by contacting the seller, or checking out the default language, box contents or doing this -> adb pull /system/build.prop)
Then like the an3k said above, contact Sony service in that country. Until Sony officially releases Z3+ in the US, they won't fix it over here.
Hello Darkweasel1981, you can use anhydrous alcohol to remove the dust.
Yes, as m$m said, clean your rusty charging port with anhydrous alcohol, remember to wear gloves to protect your hands while cleaning.

Hi Friends This Is Thread Very Important Indian Users And Other Sony Xperia Users
Most Of The Indian Users used China Manufacture,Because China Produced Very Poor Camera Performance and Touch Very Bad Performance,
First I Buy Xperia Z C6602 In India INR 35,000 Rupees , I Not Satisfied With Camera and Touch And More Problems Water resistant Problems Leaks ,
Therefore I am going Import From Other Country That Model Having Supportable LTE Network and Amazing Camera Performance And No Water Resistant Problems , That Mobile Seller Says Your Mobile Xperia Z is Imported from SG (Singapore).I Buyied in Ebay
So How to Find Correct Manufacturing Country My mobile????????
India or not, all Xperia Z models are assembled in China as far as I know. If you're having issues with your touch screen/camera, I'd try a factory reset and RMA it if your faults still continue.

Hence me saying 'as far as I know'. I've never seen anything from Sony or from anyone with a legitimate device that pointed to it being manufactured anywhere other than China. Though whether or not they are manufactured elsewhere is a moot point, just because it was manufactured in China has nothing to do with your touch screen or camera being faulty.

Indeed. My UK unbranded handset was manufactured in China. Zero issues with it in the year I've had it.

www.rounded.com is the only place I know of, but they're not cheap. They give prices in INR, so should ship to India. You could contact them and ask about shipping to your location.

Of course you can repair it. It's just not as easy as usual phones because of the water resistance (everything is glued to the frame).
See this thread for a guide on replacing the screen assembly.

I use this firm all the time ,the turn round on delivery is very good to the UK

I know the above video is for a screen replacement but if you watch it it will give you the knowledge to take down a Sony Xperia Z
This is the only firm that i could find to purchase a replacement gasket to reseal the back cover, for the sake of £3.00 i couldn't see the point in skimping, to have peace of mind that the phone was sealed properly

I am looking for spare parts for Sony DVD (model DVP-S9, serial number 3503281). I need the optical laser lens for it. Anybody can advice its availability
Dear Z3 compact colleagues,
Last night the back of my phone cracked in my hand, as I was using it.
I bought it online from Handtec in UK (lived in Estonia at that time). I live in Belgium now. Can someone please let me know how to access the Sony service for repair under warranty? Where do I send it to? Can I just go to any Sony authorized repair center with the warranty document? Do I need to contact Sony first and if so, where?
I appreciate any tips, I'm a little helpless with this, I've never been in this situation.
Thank you!

Usually its noted in the documents who takes responsibility for damage, for me they gave me a service center in Switzerland. I'm not sure where you have to go if you move to another country but going to a Sony store and asking for help will surly be a good start.

Recently bought Z3+ this early november, reason why i bought this overheating phone because it will get Nougat update(likely, unless Sony drops the support) and couldn't afford Z5 or any of its younger bros, anyway i have a "deffective" flap, since it gets loose often and easily, been googling this..... youtube that..... no info regarding changing flap of Z3+, don't wanna send this to Sony Service Center since it's in city far from my house(really far) and it's the closest SSC I've known, plus don't know how long would it take just to repair flap.....we all know Sony is bad at customer service....well mostly, so i decided to just buy replacement part, anyone can tell me how to remove and install the flap?, just write it down in the comment, video is much more appreciated though..
I got the American unit by mistake from Amazon sometime back. I contacted Sony for a suitable firmware update and they told me it's hardware dependent so no software can fix it.
I need the electrical circuit diagram for the Sony XAV-AX100 which I have failed to find. Can anyone please provide it?
I know a friend who works in electronics and he could possibly fix it for me but needs to see the electronic circuitry first.
