Recieve all FM/AM frequencies on Sony XAV-AX100 American version - Android Auto General

I got the American unit by mistake from Amazon sometime back. I contacted Sony for a suitable firmware update and they told me it's hardware dependent so no software can fix it.
I need the electrical circuit diagram for the Sony XAV-AX100 which I have failed to find. Can anyone please provide it?
I know a friend who works in electronics and he could possibly fix it for me but needs to see the electronic circuitry first.

Dock tilt discussion

As all we seem to have at the moment is some words about 2013.11 being first fixed batches, but I say "pics or it didn't happen". So for the time being, let's have a look at what the situation in general is.
Some things I noticed:
I have yet to see the docking being sold seperately, as it was possible with older models.
Assuming there will be a fix by ASUS, selling the docking seperately or not can have an influence in it. The mechanical parts are there. Resizing them will break compatibility to existing devices.
If the docking will not be sold seperately, there might be a fix sometime; if sales go well enough. Maybe that means the entire design will be different and the tablet will be a V2.
Sending them back will probably just lead to a replacement with a chance of customer STFU

Agree.
Here the tablet is only sold with dock.
So when Asus want to put warranty into effect over the connection problem they must swap them completely old against new or let the customer send it in, replace the defect connectors or even swap the changed dock and send it back to the customer as repair under warranty.
But Asus Intl. has not decided what it will be and here in Holland Asus is fully open and aware about the problem and they are just waiting for instructions from Asus Intl. how to proceed.
I believe this is a fault of engineering to begin with, and there will be no easy fix...
Here in the US they are ONLY sold separately. There is no bundled package for us.
Luckily I haven't unlocked yet but I have the sloppy dock but no connection issues. Asus have told me to RMA both the device and the dock but they couldn't confirm they could fix it here in the UK so I'm waiting for another week to see if they acknowledge the problem.

[Q] HTC One charging port compatibility issue

Hello,
I live in India. I bought an HTC One from a seller on ebay, who has imported the phone from Hong Kong.
Few days ago, the phone's charging port stopped functioning properly. I took the phone to HTC Service Center to get the port repaired. But the repair person at the service center says that as the phone is from out of India, the charging port is not compatible with the one he has in stock.
He says he can put it in, but it may cause issues.
Can anyone please give me advice about this? What difference do connectors have and what issues can be caused due to this? The service centre guy says he cant say what issues may occur, anything may go wrong because of it...
Im sorry I know its a trivial question but I hoped that if anyone has any hardware knowledge about this, they could help me take a decision whether i should put in the "non-compatible" charging connector.
Thanks in advance

The charging connector is universal. Did you speak to the service rep or the technician?
Edit: are they doing it for free??

No, they are charging some amount, i guess some Rs. 500 or so
I spoke to the technician..
Try aftermarket repair there are also good technician can help you charging points are now same for all companies at least HTC won't use two different types

I'd say, don't go to an aftermarket technician. If HTC is taking only 500, get it done there. At least they'll disassemble and reassemble the phone the right way. Also, aftermarket parts aren't the same quality as the ones HTC will give you. I've bought an LCD assembly aftermarket, and there is a noticeable difference, between OEM and that (although it is 100% genuine, it just isn't as good)

I was considering taking it to an aftermarket repair centre but I had concerns about the way they handle the housing...unfortunately the HTC One is so difficult to open without damaging its outer body

So there wont be any issue about the non compatible charging port right? I will ask HTC guy to put it in then.

Where to send Z3+ for repairs in USA

My Z3+ charging port has some rust deep inside and i have to play with the cable just to get it to charge. Had a chat with Sony USA today and they said the Z3+ is not yet supported in USA and they cannot fix it right now. I thought the Z3+ was the global version? Isn't the Z4v the same as the Z3+? need help. Thanks and ALoha!
The Z4 is the very same as the Z3+, just the name is different. The Z4 is for the Asian / Japanese market and the Z3+ is for the rest of the world.
If Sony USA isn't supporting it yet you either have to contact your vendor and return it there or find someone in a country near yours who would act on your behalf and send it to his Sony Center for repair. You can send it yourself to eg. Sony Europe but I don't think that Sony Europe will ship it to the US. Maybe they do but I guess you have to pay the shipping costs.
Try to find which country your Z3+ came from (by contacting the seller, or checking out the default language, box contents or doing this -> adb pull /system/build.prop)
Then like the an3k said above, contact Sony service in that country. Until Sony officially releases Z3+ in the US, they won't fix it over here.
Hello Darkweasel1981, you can use anhydrous alcohol to remove the dust.
Yes, as m$m said, clean your rusty charging port with anhydrous alcohol, remember to wear gloves to protect your hands while cleaning.

How to change flap of Z3+?

Recently bought Z3+ this early november, reason why i bought this overheating phone because it will get Nougat update(likely, unless Sony drops the support) and couldn't afford Z5 or any of its younger bros, anyway i have a "deffective" flap, since it gets loose often and easily, been googling this..... youtube that..... no info regarding changing flap of Z3+, don't wanna send this to Sony Service Center since it's in city far from my house(really far) and it's the closest SSC I've known, plus don't know how long would it take just to repair flap.....we all know Sony is bad at customer service....well mostly, so i decided to just buy replacement part, anyone can tell me how to remove and install the flap?, just write it down in the comment, video is much more appreciated though..

I wouldn't waist my time on an ROG II phone unless you are outside the US.
They will no longer function on AT&T and may not work on T-Mobile after the summer network changes.
ASUS no help on support or parts.
When I needed a screen I had to get it from a Taiwan supplier.
Great phone! Poor company in my opinion.
