[FIX] Revive phone from the drain of death

this is a problem on Xperia Devices (at least the ones with a sealed battery my x10 never had this).
This drain brick happens because the hell i know, but is phone bricked, dark, no light , no vibration, nada, its was a real brick.
how i fixed it? sort of i fixed my Xperia T had to provoke charging but the Z1 doesnt have a red blinking light after charging it for a while... but it does have a magnetic charging port!.
now to the instructions. following what i did to try and revive my phone.
1. try to charge the phone for an hour or so.
2. most like it wont charge but if you connect it to the PC, it will sort of react to it, just try unplugging and plugging the phone till it reacts, you may even leave it to charge there just in case (for about 10 mins if you want i leaved it for 3).
3. get a 2 AMP charger, the original one or a known brand charger like anker (i did it with my anker charger and it worked).
4. get or Use a magnetic cable/dock and connect it simultaniously with the usb cable on the PC. (and no the magnetic cable wasnt enough to jump charge the phone).
5. if the stimulation worked, it should be able to show a really dim red led, that means your phone is still alive
6.let it charge it will turn on alone.
7. smile and cry out of joy because your 500-700 dollar phone still works.
if it worked or you have any modifications on this method leave a comment and hit the THANKS button.
btw i turned on my phone and it had 1% that means it never charged until i jump charged it.

Interesting. For normal charging, will plugging the Z1 to the USB and magnetic ports simultaneously speed up charging as well?

no you can't speed up charging. Charging speed is limited to cable quality, AC plug quality and software/hardware restrictions.
the USB on PC and magnetic cable combo for some reason helps to start the phone like you do when you want to recharge an depleted car battery.
It just open the circuit and let the phone charge again.

someone please confirm if this works for more than one person/situation.

Hello my friend I have Xperia Z1 and I fall into the Hard Brick Pc didn't recognized my phone but I put myself in the wall charger after a few hours LED red blinking you can post a picture for this solution because I did not understand exactly and thank you

did the computer detected the phone but for a brief moment like trying to install the drivers?

as i told you on the PM write up how you bricked it exactly and what steps have you done so i can help you correctly.
i will post pictures of the procedure of how i did it when i get a few hours to edit and upload it.

Tried this trick last night. After 2 hours LED stopped blinking and became stable RED (no flashing). This is the first time in 1 month that LED stopped flashing, I was even able to Hold Power+Volume up button and it vibrated 3 times (nothing like that happened in the past). So it was a significant improvement from where I was 2 days ago. However, LED suddenly turned off and when I connected it to charger again it started to blink again. Buttons do not respond again.
Little info from the past:
I bricked my Z1 when I flashed .290 ROM. Left it on charge for 2 days nothing happened, flashtool would not recognize it and kept saying USB debugging off. Then I decided to open back cover and remove the battery so it could reset. That didnt resolve the issue and i just gave up.

Video instruksion would be very helpfull maybe

Yes. But the computer simply recognised it as a normal "unknown" usb device with usb debugging disabled.

Exact same thing happened to me. "USB debugging off"

All I did was plug in the magnetic connector, then with the PC turned on and Pc companion running I plugged in the USB, it took about 20 minutes to recognise it but once it did, I unplugged it, left it on charge via the magnetic plug for around 5 hours and although the charging symbol never appeared it booted into recovery the normal way (I did that just to see what would happen) then restarted the phone via Cwm and it worked normally from then on.

The symbol that appears on the screen.

I also kind of used this method.
I directly plugged in, in these steps.
1) Plug in magnetic charging dock with 1A charger (Plugged USB into charger)
2) Plug in USB with 2.1A charger (Plugged USB into charger)
Dim-ish red light popped up and the phone began booting.
Plugging into the phone for me wasn't as effective as plugging into the charger as I left it for a while and nothing happened but upon plugging USB into my single dual port charger this method worked to get my phone onto the charging screen, Android L
Had to plug the USB in and out a few times, not too many times, but eventually it booted up to the charging screen.
Be patient is the key I suppose?

For me worked with magnetic and usb 1A charger! Thanks!

[Q] HTC One Will Not Charge

My HTC One had a full discharge a couple days ago.When I got home to plug it in, it showed a blinking red LED and the battery charging animation, but didn't charge at all over a full day. I tried rebooting while still plugged in to the wall charger, which took me to the OS. From the OS I could do anything -- text,call, use Chrome, etc -- but the battery symbol had an exclamation point and the LED was still blinking red. As soon as I took it off the charger, it turned off.
I have tried Power + Volume Down, Power + Volume Up + Volume Down, and the bright light methods.
I was able to restore the phone to a previous backup from TWRP while plugged in, but the problem continues.
Any suggestions?

Try connecting the phone to your computer's USB port. If it charges there, then your charger is bad. You can check to see if is charging by going to Settings -> Power on the phone. If you are using the cable from your charger to connect to the computer and it isn't charging then try another cable. It that works, it may just be the cable that is bad and the rest of the charger is OK.

I have tried multiple cables, including the HTC stock cable and charger. When I plugged the phone into my computer, it did not show the blinking red LED and did not power up. The phone was basically unresponsive. I assume this is from lower amperage from the laptop's USB ports, but could be wrong. The laptop was also plugged into its charger at the time.

The battery is severely discharged. Since, it will not charge via the charger or the computer it looks to be a phone hardware issue. You probably need to take it back to your dealer for servicing. Before you do that, give the connection to the laptop one more go except leave it on the for about an hour or two undisturbed. When batteries are severely discharged, it takes a while for it to recharge enough to give any indication of life.

I ended up sending the phone to HTC. I had modified the kernel and OS, but figured it was worth a shot since the phone was dead and it was still under warranty.
They told me it was out of warranty due to liquid damage. I have no idea how it may have been liquid damaged, but oh well. I wasn't going to pay the $200 to replace the motherboard so I asked them to send the phone back to me.
I received the phone last week and plugged it in. I wanted to make sure I could repeat the symptoms and that HTC hadn't further messed up the phone before I took it to a local repair shop. But what happened when I plugged it in? It came to life and began charging as normal. Either a generous HTC tech fixed my phone for free or the phone needed some interior jostling to get circuits back to normal.
Whatever the situation, my phone has been good as new with all the data just as I left it. For a full week, I've had no problems charging.

[Q] Help please - Phone Bricked

I bought a Moto G 2014 Dual Sim XT1068 back in November and hadn't had any issues with it until today. I bought an anger 3000MaH portable battery pack and was amazed at how quickly it charged my phone. I used it yesterday and charged it overnight. I used it throughout today. I turned it off around midday and plugged it into my charger. When I attempted to turn it on later nothing happened. No, please charge, no **** has crashed, just nothing. The screen just stays dark. My computer no longer recognises it as a device and my portable charger will no longer recognise it as a phone to be charged, I know this because it worked with a friends phone, but not mine, and it still has battery (the charger)
What should I do?
Do I use ADB, ask Anker, return it, what is my best course of action?
If anyone knows what to do please reply as until this is fixed I do not have any ideas.
PS; No rooting, bootloader unlocking, or use of custom ROMs has occurred, the phone is completely using stock android.

I soft-bricked mine yesterday because TWRP kept crashing when I flashed my ROM. During my search for a solution I ran into a post from a guy with a similar problem of yours. His phone wouldn't charge at all.
He solved his problem by pressing PWR+VolDwn for 3 minutes. Then plug it in to a charger and leave it be. And make sure to use a proper charger (cable straight from the wall preferably)
Give that a try. Try ruling out a hardware problem. And return it as a last resort. Good luck

TRY this plug in charger and hold power for 2 mins+ to force a reset and forced boot up - holding for 120 seconds + is the key and repeat charger cable must be plugged in.
- power and volume down is normally to get to AP fastboot flash mode, agreed a good wall charger is needed not usb port power.

Verizon Moto X 2013 Not Turning On

Hi guys, so basically a while back my Moto X (2013, 1st generation) decided to just stop working so I updated to the 2014 version, however I would really like to get my photos back off of the internal memory of my old Moto X, however it won't turn on at all.
I am not sure if it is an issue with the battery or what, but basically what it does is when you try to turn it on, nothing happens at all, and if you plug it into a charger then the green LED light at the top of the phone turns on (I have read that means that the battery is so dead it can't turn the display on) however, after a few seconds or so of being plugged into a charger, the green light turns off and I have to unplug the charger and plug it back in for the light to come back on.
Is there anyone that knows what exactly is happening and how I could fix this?
I looked up how to change the battery in it, but am not sure if that is what is wrong with the phone or what. And was wondering if I do end up changing the battery and that works, would I still have the photos that are on the phone, or would they be gone?
The phone is simply just a stock 2013 Verizon Moto X, not rooted or anything and it was running KitKat 4.4.4.

try leaving it plugged into the wall over night. then, plug into your computer and see if you can get a connection. also try holding all three buttons for 5 seconds, then let go of the power button (force reboot to recovery).

Just tried both holding down the buttons and plugging it into my computer, both did nothing to the device. I guess I'll try plugging it in over night tonight to see if that does anything. Thanks for the reply.

Use a wall charger that can provide enough output voltage at least 1.5 - 2.0V, Samsung has plenty chargers with this level. Leave it plugged in for 2 to 4 hours, that can do the trick

agreed - using the OEM charger (cable and usb adapter) is the best way to go. 3rd parties adapters do not generate enough power.

Alright, sorry it took so long to respond to this, I had to go on a trip for the past week and didn't have a chance to reply.
I tried charging it over night using the stock charger that came with it and the green LED light at the top of the phone came on, and it was on for like 40 seconds or so, then the light turned off, and there was no other signs of it charging or not. There is no damage to the charger at all so I am guessing it is something wrong with the phone? Anyone know what is causing this or how I could fix it?

Green light usually means dead battery. See if Motorola will replace.

[Q] "Unable to Charge"

I have my Desire 510 plugged into a wall outlet and I keep getting the message "Unable to charge your phone because it is using too much power. To fix this problem, reduce power consumption by turning off your phone, closing any apps you aren't using or turning off the screen"....I am rooted, have TWRP installed and a custom ROM. (Raptor ROM v1 since v2 link asks for a decryption code)...I have turned on Power Saver, Mobile data and bluetooth are disabled. The phone is losing battery power even while plugged in. I have tried 3 different chargers and outlets
EDIT: Went back to Stock ROM and its STILL having charging problems....

I've had this problem and it stopped when I took a plug from a Verizon phone and used it. It's the plug where you cannot remove the wire and plug it into a PC or another charger, but as long as you save yours, you should be ok. NO other plug would work!

I have it plugged into a wall charger and its still giving issues (power brick with non-removeable USB cable)...i've had this phone for about 30 hours and been plugged in the whole time (minus the time it took to swap out USB cables and outlets) and it's not even gotten a full charge....i'm just gonna buy another phone.
EDIT: Just ordered a Motorla E (2015) to replace Desire 510....this phone will be thrown in a drawer
