i've restored TA Partition my Sony Z Ultra on my Sony Z1 by wrong
and z1 now is dead .. just red led when i connect it to pc
i tried to flash it via SETOOLS box and it gives me
error while uploading hdr
any solution please ?? :crying:
Nope, it's properly bricked
Sony will know this since minute one
I sometimes imagine their staff at how they read this forum and laugh their asses off...
Even if they replace the phone it is simpler for them to replace the phone than to investigate the issue )
Do someone on this forum even thinks that if sony whant's to find out the cause of a phone's brick they cannot ? They are finding the exact cause of microchip failing and the causes and they are not finding the cause for a simple partition with wrong data that should never fail on a memory that it is OK?
Plus they have signs, on a hard brick i understand that it will double flash the red led ) (did someone thought that they MADE the red flash for this simple reason? to know when the phone has been tampered with?)
@Killer2k8 even if Sony do so, You made a mistake with your phone and there is no way to resurrect it, or it was a gift from somebody from your family or you spend half of your salary, and you bricked the phone just to get root, the last chance is to play Stupid. (and I don't advice nobody to break the law)

Ask help on the guys from SETools. Ask them to help you locate the testpoint of your device(you need to open the back portion of your device for this though). Once you find it you're lucky then... Get a linux OS on your PC, mount your phone's partition and flash back the correct TA partition. Although yea the level of difficulty on this process is "Expert level" so good luck.
My explanation is just simple but I tell you it's alot harder when you do it.

thanks i know where the test point is ... when i use it it gives me error while uploading MBR
You use test point on a z1?
You need to be giving advice not asking for it, there are so many other options to use before you start messing with that,,,

i messed with TA .. i cant fix that till now
@the_laser any help ?
do you have original trim area backup ?
Yes I have it
I sent it to ur inbox @the_laser
i don't receive anything
@the_laser sorry .. now i sent it
I'd say that you would need to send it off for repair, sounds like a brick, i'd say that they'll do a straight swap for a new device.
Live and learn m8.

If @the_laser thinks he can fix it, I would say he can. He is the man that brought unofficial bootloader unlock to the x10 and much, much more....
With the original TA backup and setools and jtag its possible....

Answers to your questions:
I cannot boot my phone, no lights, no vibration etc.
My computer does recognize it as QHSUSB DLOAD
No, i cannot get access to fastboot/flashmode/recovery.
And no, i do not know why my phone ended up like it did. I was playing a game one time and it never booted again.
What I intend to do.
1. I'm going to try and boot from the sdcard.
2. If 1. fails i'm going to try and use QPST to get the phone going again.
3. If 1. and 2. fail, i'm bringing out the baseball bat.
Unfortunately, I have the same problem So far I have not found any solution
this is Xperia ZR forum. ask moderator to move your question to proper section

you can repair/reinstall the software of the phone using Sony PC companion software. OR you can ask that person to do it and then you can check if phone is working properly or not. then buy the phone. Ask him if he has unlocked the bootloader of the phone? If unlocked then you will need to relock using TA partition and DRM keys. otherwise warranty is gone. Also you can not repair it using PC companion if unlocked
ok..but from wath u are saying a can fix him..but with i little hard work...no?
I dont care abouth the warranty i'm only interested to make him work..
The person from were i wana buy says that the phone deosnt have root..si i am thinking that he could not unlock the bootloader...no?
In a scale from 1 to 10...wath chance do i have to fix it?
PS: please tell me how do i enter recoveri mode on this phone...i've nerev had a sony befour.
thx in advance.

First of all u will need root to enter recovery using volume up/down buttons. If he repair phone using sony PC companion, there wont be any root.
You can download latest pre-rooted firmwares from development section in this forum and flash it using flashtool version 0.9.13.0 as this is mentioned for all Xperia Z series phones. I am guessing here that bootloader is still locked
So I accidently deleted my TA partition on my Xperia T (I think - I know I deleted partition number 1, while trying to expand storage for apps) and now my phone isn't showing any signals of life. I have some sort of TA backup, but I don't know how to flash it?
Is there any way I can get my phone working again?
So I saw Xperia V can be restored after "hard brick", and I tried that on my Xperia T, but I can't find testpoint on it. DOes anyone know where it is?

Hello!
Did you find something to solve the problem?
hi im new here but not so new into the android phones stuff but however
Huh, a few years ago i think i bricked my xperia x8 e15i and now i want to ''bring it back to life'' yes i have tried to ask some technicians from here but any of those ''technicians'' know about the hardbrick (the type of brick that i think my phone have right now), and i was thinking if someone could help me with some possible solutions for it (others than jtag or medusa box of course)
