Help? - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I ask, how can I buy an original HTC One M7, because I live here in Kosovo and no where to buy it, just want to be ok, do not have any defect, even if it uses no problem?
Who can help me to find a solution?
Thank you ...

If you have access to ebay in your country, there is a chinese seller that sells new M7 phones for pretty cheap (around 200$ US), they are 100% original, one of my friend bought one and everything was ok. It was a PN071000 with the 7.19.401.2 software installed on it.

Hi I also seen your PM regarding this question. I'm sorry I have no strait forward answer. There are many devices for sale on eBay and similar sites. But obviously I cannot guarantee the condition of such devices. Or maybe there are some sort of legal restrictions in your country that prevent you from buying from such sites?

Like I said above, all M7 are equipped with the ultrapixel 4MP camera.
So are these one linked above having ultrapixel camera = yes because all M7 phones are equipped with ultrapixel.
Btw if you care that much about the camera, I wouldn't suggest you to buy the M7 since the 4MP ultrapixel camera is really bad imo. If the camera isn't the most important thing for you then the M7 is a great phone.

[Q] People are this problem with Ultrapixel ?

Hello
I have a problem with my Htc One. Someone had this problem? (when i zoom in camera)
1/ http://hpics.li/d46ad94

3/ http://hpics.li/0b9d54b
when I print the picture, it appears too.
My htc is in after-sales service. I'm wait answer.
Thanks in advance (and sorry for my bad English).
no need to think too much. send it back to store, it's faulty. I had a faulty one with a ghost spot and switched to a new one.
Yes, agreed. That's not software.
Yes I think is not software but hardware.
You think HTC will change just the camera or I'll have a new device ?

take it back to the store you bought it from and they should swap it. If you bought it recently.
otherwise you'd have to send it to HTC for warranty repairs, and they'd probably take it apart and just swap the camera out.

Did you ever find out what your CID was? What issue did you have with your HTC ONE? I saw some XDA thread with all the CIDs. Looks like SA is HTC__016

Hey bud, yep I did.
The phone had the pink camera issue. I returned it and they gave me a brand new one.
Luckily the new one was perfect.

Great! Yeah I'm having a mic issue. As far as I know the HTC One is not easily repairable so hopefully I'll get a new one.

Yeah, because of how the One is created with the sealed unibody design it apparently needs a special machine to open.
Which I highly doubt Vodacom SA has so it was easier for them to give me a new one.
Are you from SA? chances are you'll get a brand new phone if you take it in

Purchasing new HTC One - Questions

Hi all,
I stay in India and I am planning to order HTC One from United States as HTC One is not available in India Anymore. My only question is..
Has the issue with camera resolved on the latest build? I mean the purple tinge? If I am buying from HTC Website, it would be a new build right? So will it have camera problem or only initial builds had it?
If anyone can please suggest me on this, it would be helpful as I wont be getting warranty if I purchase from abroad.
It's fixed on the m8 apparently, but I'm not sure about the m7 but it depends on the one you get,, mine has it but it's hardly noticeable, I'm getting the m8 eventually so its not a bother to me.

Some will have the issue, some not. I was unlucky. I had the issue. The M8 wont have it, so ull be 100% safe. BTW why arent you buying the M8 ??
Also, the M7 is very much available in India. Which city are you from ??
And, if you're ordering from the HTC website, that will be the Developer Edition. And i have doubts whether they'll ship to India......

I am thinking to buy M7 as the price was reduced by almost $100 recently.
M7 is not available as single sim variant, only Dual Sim is available and its not developer friendly
As I mentioned in initial post, I will be getting it imported from United States (one of my friend will be getting it for me)
Not buying M8 coz i cant afford to spend another 10K
How can I check if the purple tint is present on phone or not? How to recreate the issue?

First, install all updates. TBH, the 4.3 update screwed my camera the most. The issue is also present on Kitkat. So, update to the latest version and see if the issue is present. Place the camera lens-down on any surface. If the image is exactly the colour of the surface, then you're safe. If there's a purple tinge, you have a problem. Otherwise, just wait for night-time and take a pic outside. U can easily identify. The only solution for this is to give it for repair to HTC. But, the US model is VERY different from the local model. So, HTC might not repair it even if you agree to pay for repair. Just FYI,

Thanks for the suggestion on testing the phone.. I will try on that..
BTW the ebay link that you provided.. is it safe to purchase from eBay? I hav not purchased anything online for that amount
Does custom firmware help? I mean to reduce the effect?
Also are there any settings or so if that effect can be reduced? Because spending a 30K for a phone which has this major problem is an issue

[Q] HTC one camera, where to buy one

Hi,
I would like to fix this purple tint issue but I cannot find a proper shop where I can order a new camera, HTC doesn't have an official office in our country thus i have to fix it myself,
If anyone of you have ordered one from the webstores, could you please link me to the right seller? or if anyone have a broken htc that HAD a normal camera without purple tint issue, i would pay you to get it!
Thank you

3rd edition, WW Shipping http://www.aliexpress.com/store/pro...2t-802d-802w-big-rear/422831_32237221678.html
Why not try taking it to the HTC Service centre. I took mine there and they did a pretty decent job. Would anyway definitely not recommend opening the M7 on your own. The camera module is the last unit in the device, meaning you will have to dismantle everything to reach it. iFixit tried and failed miserably.

If you're happy with M7, you're gonna be extatic with the 10. IMO, it's a waste of money to buy a 3 years old phone no matter how cheap it is

You can get used M7's for ~40-50€ and still get a used M10 in 1-2 years for maybe a quarter of what you have to pay now! Haven't met anyone sofar who really needs the specs of a 2016 highend phone!
The M8 is pure genius, I love that phone. You can root it and put a ported M10 Rom on it. Yep I would suggest the M8.
