Mount as disk drive - internal storage - Sprint HTC One (M8)

When I connect my phone to my PC and select USB connection type-> Disk Drive, the phone's internal storage shows up as a CD drive on the PC. The external SD card shows up correctly as a removable disk.
I have Googled and tried the suggestions I found to no avail.
Does anyone know how to make the internal storage show up on the PC as a removable drive?:fingers-crossed:

Really need help after doing something very stupid. I by acident formated the internal storage on my diamond when it was connected to my computer an now the diamond do not find the internal storage. It is the same after I have done a hard reset. In system/memory its says that the memory card i not installed!
I´ts ok now. FIXED
If possible, can you post how you fixed the problem? In case people google for the same problem, and find your post.
Cheers
When you connect your phone to pc as disk drive, internal storage is hidden until it’s unplugged.
When I formated the disk it was in FAT so the phone did not find it but when i formated the disk again but in NTFS it worked.

PC USB Access External SD Card

I can not access the External SD Drive on PC after I plug in the Samsung i9000.
1. Plug in
2. Press USB Mass Storage Mode
3. Press Connect button on phone
4. 2 drives appear in PC's My Computer
5. Only one is accessible, looks to be the internal SD drive, also with a subfolder named External SD
6. The other 1 drive is greyed, as if no drive is mounted there.
How do I access the External SD without going through the Internal SD Drive's External SD folder?
I should be able to access each drive separately right?
signature testing
discovered possible cause: SuperOptimizedKernel 4.7.4
There is another way.
1. Plug in
2. Press Samsung Kies
3. GT-I9000 appears in PC's My Computer
4. Double click GT-I9000, 2 Drives called Card and Phone will show up
5. Double click Card which = External SD
(Phone = Internal SD)
yes, thanks,
This problem is caused by SuperOptimizedKernel on Froyo 2.2. A fix has been found.

[Q] Prevent Internal SD USB Auto-mount?

Is there a way to prevent auto mount of the internal storage whenever we connect to a PC via USB? The external SD card should still be auto-mounted.
I use my 6GB internal storage as the primary SDCard on my O2X and the external SD card as my storage area for music, movies etc. Essentially that my ext SD is what I frequently use for transferring media from PC to Phone and very rarely transfer stuff to the internal storage.
On the int storage if you have apps, pics being used as wallpapers and widgets, etc. then USB auto-mount of int storage disables all of them when the fact is that you just need the ext SD card.
Any ideas on how the USB auto-mounts can be controlled?
Thank you.

Internal Storage Not Mounting

This morning when I plug my droid4 into the computer and set the connection to USB Mass Storage only the microsd card is readable from my computer. The internal storage shows up but isn't accessible.
The files are readable from the phone when it isn't mounted to the computer, it's just the computer that can't see them. This was working fine last week.
Any thoughts?
I would check the drivers and make sure it hasnt errored out in the device manager. may need reloaded.
