Re-calibrate touch screen - Xperia Z3 Compact Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is there a way to calibrate the touch screens on this thing? My wife is constantly frustrated by her keyboard, and I think part of that is the fact that the bottom row or two just doesn't seem to be very accurate/responsive to touches.

Hi,

can any one help regarding screen touch sensitivity

Hi friends,
I am kinda new to this blog and unfortunately when i use the stylus on my screen the response is kinda very slow, i tried doing the screen alignment but nothing seems to work.
Could any one help me in increasing my screen sensitivity
Slowness, I would think, is caused by the processer busy doing something else. Close programs that are not needed.

Halfing the touch screen

So I apologize if this problem has been adressed before but my forum searching abilities suck.
Ive had a few roms installed on my tilt now but I keep running into a problem with the touch screen. Randomly Ill touch the screen but its registers the stylus touching halfway between the bottom and the where im actually touching. So if I touch the top of the screen I end up hitting the exact middle. Doing a stylus reset seams to fix the problem but thats ridiculous to so it that often. Its not very fun only being able to use half my screen. Any suggestions?

flashing is like pooping, 99% of all problems come from not wiping.

Calibrating Touch screen

Touch screen pretty much sucks, so I go to the physical keyboard. Are there any solutions for this?
Don't think you can actually calibrate the touch screen...
if you use the HTC_IME then there is touch screen calibration but its limited to calibrating the VK, and not the whole touchscreen itself.
This is not an old fashioned resistive touchscreen... this is capacitive. Calibration is fixed by the digitizer matrix which is aligned physically with the LCD and can never shift (and thus needs no calibration).
If you are having sensitivity problems, keep in mind that this is a capacitive screen -- it doesn't work well sitting on a desk and being poked at, it needs to read the conductivity of your hand, which means that the device needs to share a common ground WITH YOU, which means that you need to hold it in your palm.

[Q] G1 Screen Strangeness

Hi everyone, first post and it's about a G1 I recently purchased.
My phone is using the Cyanogen Mod 6.0.0-DS, which is freshly installed. The weird thing is that about 2/3 of my screen (when in portrait mode) is unresponsive when I place my finger on it.
When I touch in the Left 1/3 of the screen, it recognizes my touch and works. The even weirder part is that when I start my touch in the 1/3 and move into the other area of the screen, the phone recognizes my movement.
So say I'm on the home screen and swipe left to right. The screen recognizes my touch and I can hold down the touch into the right side of the screen and it follows my movements perfectly. It's only when I touch in that 2/3 right part of the screen when it touches not recognize the touch.
Now, my question is this: Is it software related or hardware related? Is there a setting I can use to maybe calibrate the screen. OR do I need to replace the screen (or digitizer? can someone help me understand the difference)?
Thanks in advance for reading. Any help is greatly appreciated. Ask questions if need be

I am having this issue, too. Anyone able to help?
Its common, I had couple of phones with intermediate touch issues on a portion of the screen, a new digitizer took care of that.

a853 screen issue

Hi all, i write because my a853 touch screen sometimes got crazy. It look like an issue with sensor or i don't know but is behaves strange sometimes: opening and closing application, the browser, dialing, opening setting menus all by itself with nobody touching the screen, so i don't know if is a hardware issue or some kind of malware, so if any of you got an idea about what could this be plz help me out. Sometimes the screen get unresponsive and i have to push the power to unlock it, when i push the launcher it opens the application to the right or the left.
Your digitizer is broken, so you have ghost touch issue. You need to change the touchscreen.
So you mean i most change the digitizer, or the LCD screen
change the digitizer
