[Q] [Help] Stuck at boot after flashing Phils CWM6 on stock ICS

I am new here and i have Galaxy Note with Stock ICS 4.0.3 (Indian).
and i want to flash PA 3.+ on it.
for that pupose, i have flashed latest Phils Root+CWM6 which is
<< 12.05.2013 - PhilZ-cwm6 v5.03.0 with CWM 6.0.3.2 based recovery >>
DDLSC - DXLSE - JPLSB - XXLT5 - ZSLO2 Fixed for bootloop
ZCLSF (no bootloop fix, proper default.prop)

after flashing it from Stock Recovery, phone is getting stuck at BootLogo.
but the phone is getting boot into CWM, but cant able to flash to flash PA, showing error and also my i am unable to boot into stock system.
so please help me and give me solution for this.
i am a newbie and theres a lots of kernels, codes, recoveries n roms which makes me confused..

I faced a similar problem yesterday.
First of all go back to CWM, wipe cache and dalvik, then go to mounts and storage and mount system, sd card, preload, cache, sd-ext, don't touch emmc.
After that go to ADVANCED and fix permissions. Then wipe cache and dalvik again.
It worked for me.
Let me know the results.

You are flashing a JB kernel on an ICS rom. That is why you get stuck. What you can actually do is the following:
- Put PA in your sdcard (internal or external)
- Reflash Philz Kernel and go to advance and reboot recovery (not device)
- From that touch recovery flash PA and GAPPS.
If not, find Philz file for your build version and everything will be just fine.

yes you're flashing jb kernel on ics. please read the instructions on the kernel thread before you flash it.

Hey there i wanna flash the cm 10.1 nightlies rom on my n7000 which runs stock gb 2.3.6 with cwm recovery 5.0.2.7 and a CF-ROOT KERNEL LC1
(indian user) can someone help in flashing the rom cm 10.1
plss mention which recovery to flash OR if the current recovery is same to match ..ALL THE OTHER FILES SUCH AS THE KERNEL N ROM N GAPPS HAVE BEEN DOWNLOADED ...m just confused abt the recovery ..

CF Root Gingerbread kernels are safe but do not use CF Root ICS kernels - they are partly safe.
You can flash it from your current kernel/recovery
Flash CM 10.1 nightly
Flash GAPPS
Flash Superuser zip
Perform wipe fata / factory reset
Reboot

reboot to recovery,
flash CM kernel,
go advance and reboot recovery,
you on CM kernel now, do a full wipe.
flash Rom, flash Gapps.
done.

it looks lie there are some serious bugs in cm 10.1 ..like the usb storage is not working ..can i flash ultimate jelly bean ..with this recovery 5.0.2.7 ??
also which kernel is supported for ultimate jelly bean v6 ??

any kernel that support TW Jelly Bean 4.1.2..

[Q] Backup with TWRP

The thing is I'm Dirty Unicorns 4.3.1 rom and your kernel has CWM only, do not like it for backups because I can not rename them. Only the kernel Doomlord has TWRP, which is only for stock. My question is can I just do the backup / restore with the kernel Doomlord and then use the original kernel to boot rom?

LiquidSmooth to Cynaogen resulted in bootloop

I had installed LiquidSmooth ROM on my Samsung Galaxy Note GTN7000 a while ago. I run Philz Touch recovery version 6.0.0.1 .
When I tried flashing CM11 , I got an error something like set_metadata_recursive .. .
I googled it up, and found that I need to update my recovery. SO, i downloaded the latest version of CWM from their website and tried flashing it through the recovery. And it is resulting in a sudden shut down and then in a bootloop when switching on .
What wrong am I doing? How can I rectify this?

On our device the recovery is incorporated into the kernel, never flash a recovery or kernel that isn't meant for our device.
Once you have flashed that, reboot to recovery and perform a full wipe. Then proceed with the installation of CM.

[Q] SGS+ problem

i don't know what happen to my phone..
everytime i flash KKernel.. it always cause a bootloop..
already Flash via odin to stock..
Flash TWRP 2.8.0.0 for Custom Recovery..
i was about to flash ehndroix V 14.10.23, Ehndrogapps, and KKernel KK v5.0 (or v4.0)..
i ended up bootloop.. or i can't even get the bootsplash screen.. after few seconds.. it restart it self.. and do the same again..
if i don't flash the KKernel (Rom and Gapps only) it boot normally even get into the homescreen like normal..
Help please.. (stock or outdated kernel are really drain battery fast!)
all my format are EXT4..
do i need to change the recovery..?
cause if i use TWRP 2.8.1.0 for Lollipop rom (gapps and KKernel too) it boots normal!
