I've had this phone for 2 years and I m sure the battery is almost good as dead.
I get around 3 hours of SOT with airplane mode on and WiFi only. I am having trouble getting the battery to recalibrate. I charged the phone all the way to 100 then I let it stay at a 100 for half hour then I pull the plug. When I restart the phone the battery shows at 82-83 percent. Then I recharge it all the way to 100 again. I keep doing this until it stays at 100 after pulling plug.
Can anyone tell me whats going on here?

Are you referring to this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/EMERGENCY-AA-BATTERY-CHARGER-FOR-MOGUL-XV6800-6800-6700_W0QQitemZ270150736083QQihZ017QQcategoryZ20336QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1638Q2em118Q2el1247
I tried it and it didn't work. I first tried it with my battery power at 60%. I put my Mogul in sleep mode with no apps running, plugged in the charger using a fresh Duracell, and waited two hours. When I checked it, it was still at 60%. But about two minutes later it dropped to 30%. WTF!?!?! I tried it again the next day at 50%. This time the battery level stayed at 50% for a little while before dropping at a normal level. I have the 1% battery meter .cab installed. So the only thing I can really say is that it kept my Mogul battery from discharging while in sleep mode, which isn't very useful. Maybe I got a bad charger.
I ended up buying a second battery. It's actually easier to carry than the emergency charger. It's a pain to swap batteries, but I've only had to do it once. If you are runing low on battery power on a continuing basis then you'd be better off getting an extended battery.
Ok this has been happening to me for awhile and i just want to know is this is "normal" or there is something wrong:
Lets say that my phone's battery is under %15 so i plug my cell to charge it....right? so now it has been plugged for a couple of hours and it show that is charging but very slow...and i have to wait like 8 hours to fully charge....but if i reboot my phone let say within 2 hours of charging after it reboot it shows that the battery is fully charge....is this normal?
doubt its normal but mine does the same. Charges for hours and hours but wont go past 85% but with a reboot 100% Same as if I charge it for like 30mins then reboot guess what full charge.
I had this problem at one time, it turned out I had the overclocking set to 528 at all times and this was killing the battery, even when charging. If you have this on, try turning it off. After that it was fine for me
Hi
The last few days I've been using my diamond, part way through a call the phone switches off. When I try and turn it on it'll vibrate then switch off again, as it does when the battery is flat. However, if I plug the charger in and turn it on the battery is reported as anything from 40% to 90% !! Just happened a few minutes about, before the call the battery was showing as 75%, 2 minutes later the phone died and wouldn't switch on. I plugged the charger in, switched on and the battery was at 92%. Occasionally, it will switch on without charging and the battery will show as 40% !
Anyone else seen this and got an idea of the problem ? The phone is 18 months and this is the original battery. Is the battery on it's way out or is there another issue ? I've hard reset the phone a couple of times but that's made no difference.
battery's are very analogue components and there is no good digital way to measure their charge
it's don by measuring the volt lvl as the more flat a batt goes the lower the volts will go
so you can't really trust it much as a batt at the end of it's lifespan could have normal volt lvls 1 min and be flat the next
The battery is dead then ? Though so, I've bought a new one, only 20GBP
Thanks for your response.
Every day, the phone gets to about 20% and then straight up falls to 14% - 9% - 4% and then dead within a two minute time span. If I connect to the charger it jumps right back to 20% only to die near instantly if I disconnect the charger. What could be the problem here? I use my phone all day every day, could I have simply used up the battery?

Try looking up battery calibration. There's some stuff around saying that you should drain to 0 then charge all the way (with power off). I've also heard doing that then pressing and holding the power button for two minutes straight does something, but I'm not sure.
Every time when I charge my phone and then I remove the charger, my phone shows that my battery is empty.
It can't be empty if I have charged it almost 3 hours.
And also my phone charges faster than before. When my battery is 1% it takes only 5 minutes to 100%.
I watch my phone, it's 5% then 3 minutes later it's 40% and then it jumps to 70% and so on. And phone was turned off.
I was thinking to calibrate my battery but it's almost impossible.
