Actually there are 2 variants of the ZE550KL
The one you mentioned as well as this one:
Specifications ZE550KL:
Display - IPS LCD, 720 x 1280 pixels (~267 ppi pixel density)
Chipset - Qualcomm MSM8939 Snapdragon 615
CPU - Quad-core Cortex-A53 @ 1.5GHz & Quad-core Cortex-A53 @ 1.2 GHz (octacore)
GPU - Adreno 405
RAM - 2 GB
Memory - 16 GB, microSD
Camera - 13 MP, 4128 x 3096 pixels, laser autofocus, dual-LED (dual tone) flash
Secondary Camera - 5 MP
Sensors - Accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass
Connectivity - Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth v4.0
Battery - 3000 mAh
Dimensions - 152.5 x 77.2 x 10.8 mm
Weight - 170 g
Color Availability - Black, White, Red, Silver, Gold
The Snapdragon 410 version only has a quadcore processor.
There is also a ZE551KL version which is the same as the 615 above but with 3GB RAM and hi-res screen.
EDIT:
I chose the octa-core ZE550KL version for the extra power with low res screen. Battery life is great and not being a gamer, I find no pausing and phone very responsive.

Thanks for the info:good: Good old Asus using the same product number for different devices
I've updated and will add the ZE551KL:good:

There is now a version called the ZE551KL and it has a the same specs as the ZE550KL except that the screen is 1080P, comes with 3GB DDR3 ram, and storage can be 16GB or 32GB.

The ZE551KL runs at 1.5ghz not 1.7ghz

Nice phone for the money.
Be better if kernel source were released so the xda wizards could
do some development.
Already own this. Enhanced version.
do we know if this device gets official MIUI V6 or KitKat in general ?????
MIUI 6 for sure.
This is indeed a nice device.
One question does this device has screen protection such as Gorilla Glass or Dragontrail Glass like Redmi/Hongmi 1s?

Doesn't list it in the specs. Just says it is an IPS-LCD Screen.
IPS stands for in-plane switching. An IPS-LCD is a type of thin display that offers better viewing angles than TFT-LCDs. IPS-LCDs feature two transistors for each pixel, where TFT-LCDs use just one. This requires a more powerful backlight, which delivers more accurate colors, and allows the screen to be viewed from a wider angle. The downside is that an IPS-LCD may consume more power than a TFT-LCD.
IPS-LCDs typically are found on high-end cell phones and portable devices. Apple's iPhone and iPad both feature IPS-LCDs, as does the Motorola Droid.
where can you buy the 16gb version?
i found the 2gb ram version here but it says it only has 8gb
with regard to the 2g/3g it says it supports:
2G: GSM 900/1800/1900MHz
3G: WCDMA 900/2100MHz
does this mean i would get full HSDPA speeds on the Three network in the UK like i do currently with my Galaxy Note 1 (N7000)
No

May not get. It won't take time to do so for them. When indian companies like xolo did for many 1 year old phones immediately after release, why can't Xiaomi?
http://en.miui.com/thread-67454-1-1.html
All Redmi phones will get MIUI 6 developer version and stable version; We will try our best to release some beta versions by the end of Dec. 2014
I think the device is pretty great for the price tag.
Got some really nice specs of you ask me.
Works great in general use, web surfing with chrome is butter smooth and sweet gaming performance as well.
My only hardware issue is with the camera, despite being a 13 MP camera, it's pretty lame, but still you can get "okay" photos out of it.
And yea Btw, blame Mediatek for the source code. [emoji16]

Performance round-up 2017 edition [Benchmarks]

I decided to test how my old Droid 4 will perform in benchmarks in 2017. Here are the first benchmarks. If you want to see more benchmarks, please recommend some of them. You can also post your scores .
Device: Motorola Droid 4
ROM: CyanogenMod 13 (latest Nightly)
Launcher: Nova Prime
Geekbench 4
Stock CM kernel 1.2Ghz: 374/624
OC kernel 1.3Ghz (FullScale Lite): 398/656
My unit will not run at 1.4Ghz stable so I only tested at 1.3Ghz. Benchmark score increased about 6%. I believe that at 1.4Ghz single core score would be over 400.
Comparison:
Galaxy S7 (Exynos 8890, 2.3GHz): 1784/5201 (2016)
Galaxy S7 (Snapdragon 820, 2.15Ghz): 1560/3791 (2016)
LG X Power (MT6735M, 1.3Ghz): 558/1509 (2016)
Moto G (2014) (Snapdragon 400, 1.2Ghz): 427/1060 (2014)
Moto E3 (MT6735P, 1.0Ghz): 425/1122 (2016)
Galaxy S II (Exynos 4210, 1.2Ghz): 424/777 (2011)
Galaxy Nexus (OMAP 4460, 1.2Ghz): 409/651 (2011)
Droid 4 (OMAP 4430, 1.3Ghz): 398/656 (2012)
Galaxy S5 Mini (Exynos 3470, 1.4Ghz): 392/1061 (2014)
RAZR XT910 (OMAP 4430, 1.2Ghz): 369/587 (2011)
Discomark
I ran the tests with OC kernel at 1.3Ghz
Animations were turned off during tests from developer settings and Nova settings

Yeah, I think that too :highfive:. I decided to run GPU benchmark also. First I tried to run GFXBench T-Rex (ES 2.0) but it failed (out of memory error). So I added 3DMark Ice Storm results instead. It seems that GPU performance and memory are the weak points for Droid 4. Otherwise everything else seems to be okay.
EDIT: AnTuTu also added.
Ps. Could you edit quote a bit smaller?

This is true. I tinker with memory to get it to run properly as I run alot of extensive audio stuff software wise. once i got it perfect it was good to go, memory wise. But GPU can't do much there without the device acting buggy. Just happy this device is ticking :good: oh changed the font to size 1. Its at the top of editing. I never paid attention to it before.

[CLOSED] Xiaomi Mi 10T with Snapdragon 865 beats ROG phone 5 with GPU Overclock

Hi
I have Xiaomi Mi 10T with Snapdragon 865 with Adreno 650 GPU and 8 GB LPDDR5 RAM and I used Konabess app to Overclock GPU to beat ROG Phone 5 in Vulkan performance.
You can use them to undervolt SD870 and OC to 683 MHz that the limit but early SD870 can be overclock to 900Mhz.
I used This two tables to overclock to 905-940Mhz.

Adreno 660 is just overclock on Adreno 650 from Snapdragon 865.
If you want more performance look for CAF ROMs like I did.
I'm using Xdroid ROM with is CAF ROM.( CAF stands for the CodeAurora Forum. It is like the name says, an online forum (just like XDA, except, the forum is more for OS developers than flashmaniacs) where Qualcomm releases source codes and patches for their CPUs. Code Aurora is a kind of an initiative in which brands can release the open-source codes for SoCs(CPUs) for future software development. )
First few technical staff.
1000 Gigaflops = 1 Teraflops/TFLOPS
Adreno 650 on 587 MHz has 1202 Gigaflops
Poco F3 Adreno 650 on 670 MHz has 1372 Gigaflops
Snapdragon 888 - Adreno 660 on 840 MHz has 1702 Gigaflops
Adreno 650 on 905 MHz has 1853 Gigaflops
Adreno 650 on 940 MHz has 1925 Gigaflops
You can calculate this very easily
Shading units 512 * freq 0.905 * 4 = 1853 Gigaflops = 1.8 TFLOPS
Compere to home consoles last gen
PS4 has 1.84 TFLOPS
Xbox One S 1.4 TFLOPS
Nintendo switch 1TFLOPS docked and undock around 500 Teraflops.
I overclock my Adreno 650 to 940Mhz giving me performance of SD888 with new drivers OpenGL 604 ( In two versions in attachment below if you want try on 865/870 new drivers)
Performance is incredible just from driver it self. Stock freq 587 MHz gives 4230-4150 score in Wild life just like SD870.
I used 940MHz and 905MHz on TURBO_L0 Voltage.
You can click on any images to get closer view.
Here is AnTuTu before overclock on stock freq 587MHz and 3Dmark Wild life
Now here we go to 940Mhz overclock with GPU.
AnTuTu Score beats Mi 11 and few SD 888 smartphones.
Here is Wild life and Wild life stress test.
Here are bonus 3DMark Sling **** Extreme Unlimited and Geekbench 5 Vulkan Compute test
And here are temp of Red Magic 6 series phones.
And here is temperature of all big SD888 phones to compere.
Here is test which show how many Watts GPU uses.
Overclock to 905-940Mhz with new drivers v604 use 7W on of power without idle screen 0.8W compere to SD888 which is much higher around 1.5W
SD888 GfxBench Manhattan 3.1 off screen 117 fps with 8W-8.5W of power.
Gfx Benchmark Manhattan 3.1 off screen 112-115fps with 7W
Running Genshin Impact on 60fps highest gets 7.2W of power with 58fps almost lock and SD888 uses 8.5-11W to run this game.

Question Upgrading Mi 11 Ultra --> Xiaomi 13 Pro

Is anyone thinking about upgrading Mi 11 Ultra to Xiaomi 13 Pro ?
I've skipped 12S Ultra as there were not many new things, and not much difference in camera quality.
Today I find out there is Xiaomi 13 Pro released globally, there are already some reviews and battery tests

Cant complain on my Mi 11 Ultra overall, the only complaint I have is about customs ROM, not much of them, but for globally released phone I think there is more chance to get more customs ROM for it ? I'm right on this ?

The source code for the Xiaomi 13 pro is not yet available unlike the Xiaomi 12 pro for example, which has been available since December 2021.
There is already not a single rom for the 12 pro 8 Gen1 while the kernel dates from December 2021.
In my opinion several obstacles, incomplete Kernel ***, the completely new fingerprint part ***, the soc, price.
(***confirmed by developers).
Maybe it's the soc, for devices over a year old brands like One Plus or Samsung no AOSP rom too.

it has
Spoiler: CAMERA
If you skipped 12s Ultra because not much difference in camera quality, then you'll definitely want to skip 13 Pro which is a downgrade. You're getting much worse ultrawide and telephoto sensors (they are much smaller and also 3.2x vs 5x), and though the main sensor is marginally better, you're losing the mod support. Mi 11 Ultra has a full resolution RAW unlocker which gives 50MP RAW photos from GCam. It's questionable if the 13 series will ever get it since the 12 series still don't. This is what still makes the 11 Ultra the best camera system.
If cameras are a secondary thought to you, then yeah it may be worth upgrading, since the new chipset is really good. Performance, battery life, no overheating, that's all great. Development is just unknown yet, but judging by the 12 series it may not be great.
