Hello,
My Teclast X98 Air 3G(C5J6) arrived today.
When I start my Tablet it shows only the red Teclast Symbol with Chinese letters up.
And after that it Boots directly into Windows without showing the Dualboot Menu.
I started the Partitionsmanager and it shows a lot of different Partitions.
Two biggest are Windows (NTFS) with ~37 GB and another with 16GB (RAW) but windows tells me it's empty.
Should Windows recognize the correct Volume of the Android Partitions?
Is it possible to boot into bios and is it possible that something like fast boot into Windows or direct boot to Windows is activated?
Greetings drBob1337
After installing Win10 upgrade from Win8.1, my X98 boots directly into Android. So far nothing for support from Teclast.

to turn on the menu should be dualboot
- Turn off the tablet by holding the power button for more than 10 seconds.
- Hold the volume up and power button.
- Is due to open a white screen in the robot and start counting 10 seconds.
- In the upper left to see a small field and in the box to the right box. click on it to bring up the bird. then this screen will appear every time.

I recently tried to install corperate black berry. (I do not have an acct. so it was really just for kicks) The instillation seemed to go well untill black berry installer rebooted my phone. for two days now my phone has tried to reboot. Oddly enough I can receive incomming calls. The caller No. is even displayed on the green windows screen where it stays untill I reboot. To me it seems as if windows its self has failed but basic phone functions still work in a bios type state.
can anyone tell me how I can restore mobile 6 or flash the rom in a bootloader. (keep in mind that I can not get into windows)
Try a hard reset using the buttons. This will put your phone to 'original' condition - BUT you will lose any data you have stored on it.
done
I have tried. Nothing i get to the green windows screen and the phone stays there booting windows.
There is a bit of a technique to getting the hard reset to work - just keep trying.
I normally press the left button a fraction of a second brfore the right, and THEN press and hold (5 to 10 seconds) the reset with the stylus.
I have had a bastard of a time trying to flash in windows 7 with virtual xp. It just kept giving me errors everytime I would try to flash any rom. I'm going with hornet right now though after the fix. Anyway, I noticed that under the 'USB' tab in the virtual XP window that it was listed as 'generic rndis' and would let me attach it or release it. So I tried manually booting my phone while unplugged this time using the camera button and comm button (both buttons on camera side of phone at once) and then press reset button while holding other two and then let go. It should boot into 3 color bootloader while still unplugged and then plug it in. After that, go to the 'USB' tab in your virtual XP window and it should show up as unknown or unspecified device this time instead of generic rndis. Attach the device if it says it's unknown/unidentied and then it should actually finally flash for once in a lifetime. I hope this helps b/c absolutely nothing but running xp on another drive would work for my 8125.
EDIT! I almost forgot, you probably have to delete your partnership with the phone under windows 7 mobile device center too. I did it that way so it might be necessary.
Hello for Everyone!
I've a SAM Galaxy TAB 8.9 (GT-P7300) branded for T-Mobile (TMH). There are few of strange things about it.
The first: can not communicate with my PC and with my laptop. On PC runs WIN7 x86, on laptop I use Ubuntu 10.4 (Studio). I had installed the USB drivers for WIN, and the only thing is happened after plugging the USB-cable WIN wrote: "Can't identifying the plugged in Android device". The Ubuntu doesn't recognize my tablet
The second: I can not reach the Bootloader mode, download mode. When I push the VOL down at same time with the POWER ON nothing happens.:crying:
The third: after some minutes of sleeping mode of the device (for example: charging, not using) it POWER OFF. Or...something like this...blank black display and nothing happens if I push any of the buttons. Pushing about 20 secs of POWER ON button resulting a reboot.
The device is in stock 3.2 .
Any ideas what can I do for rooting process nad for custom ROM?

On your second point, to reach bootloader, turn on tab, wait until the moment the samsung logo pops up, then press volume down (the one closer to power button).
To root, add custom recovery and ROM, read the stickies in the android development forum. These may help your other problems. There are several reasons why your computers fail to recognize your tab. I would try different usb ports and cords if you can. I would install kies on the windows pc and see if that recognizes the tab. If none of that works, it may be a hardware problem.

Thanx for your quick reply. There are few cganges about the problems. Here they are:
The second problem about the bootloader and download mode is off. I picked parts of the device and there was a liitle problem with the VOL buttons...repaired and everything is fine with it.
The first problem about the communication is half-solved. On SAMSUNG laptop without (!!!) any drivers works fine the device. Flashed with a "stock" 4.0.4 (Checz) no boot, just splashed on the SAMSUNG logo. After ODIN-flashed one-file other ROM it was very nice...everything goes.
But the third problem is here after the good-flashing, too. In sleep mode or long not-usage periods it is something like POWER OFF.... During the picking to parts period some of the pieces (battery, flexes) were supervised...everything is normal. I think the device's main panel is wrong, but I don't know how I could look at it and fix it.
Hello,
i need your help to get my HP Touchpad alive. I tried a lot of the tipps around but no one with success.
My problem starts since i tryed to delete the personal settings and restore to factory setting.
Now the Touchpad is only recogniced as H:/ in Windows 7 (USB) and when i go to Device Manager it's a Palm Device Module.
I can switch to Usb-mode (Power +Loudness) and it's possible to connect with Novaterm.
The WebOSDoctor runs only at 4% and stops then without rebooting.
When i start the Pad, there comes a structured screen with a cloudy blue sky and a grey, round button rotating endless. Thats it.
When i connect the Pad to an Ubuntu-Notebook, it's different, because i see the complete structure (apps. pictures, etc).
How can i repair the boot-loop? I also tried the new Touchpad-Program, it starts but i get no menue to decide.
Thanks for any help!
Hi there,
Yesterday I’ve received the Teclast X98 3G Tablet (Windows 10/Android 5, 64GC EMMC). After the first start I chose Windows 10 to start initially. Since then I am in a bootloop. Red logo flashes every 10 seconds, thereafter I can see a black screen with “9C” in the bottom right corner.
Have you experienced such a problem too? How can I reset the bootloader? Should I return my tablet, or is it just a small problem?
Thanks in advance.

Before turn on the tablet keep vol + and press power button then choose android to boot .
Thanks for answering.
Volume+ & Power doesn't work. Same loop as described above. I can only start the DNX-Mode.

Doesn't fix the problem. I`ve tried it with a full battery.
It looks like that after the red-logo disappears there is a command-window with the two letters "9C" in the bottom right corner.... I don't understand whats wrong there. Is it the dual-bootloader or Windows....?!
Is there an other opportunity to completely reset (factory reset) the device? Holding 20 sec. the power button ends in shutting off an starting the tablet again.
Should I try to flash Bios 2.02 or something else? I worry about loosing my Windows 8.1/10 key on this way. GearBest doens't respond to my ticket concerning return of device.
Thanks !
What about flashing mirek`s rom with partitioning in dnx mode with mft tool http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=62823546&postcount=6 ?
Android works well, but the Windows Boot Manager seems to be corrupted. I will send back the device. It must be a physical defect in the device. Overall it is well built and feels sturdy and android runs nicely. Therefore I hope that GearBest will send me a new one ...
Apropos GearBest: Ticket opened on Wednesday, no answer since now. I wrote a message on facebook directly and hope now for a quick solution because the device was "dead on arrival".
Thank you all for your answers / help!
