Please help! Fingerprint not working. - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S6

So since my phone is a ATT phone and i unlocked it and switched to T-mobile i tried to update it but found out it can only update if i have a ATT sim card. So me being the dumbass i decided to manually update it from odin and ever since i done that when i reboot my phone it shows green text on the top left and when i try to put my fingerprint in it says An error has occurred with the fingerprint sensor and now i can't even unlock my phone with my fingerprint or try to remove my fingerprint because that error pops up. Is there anyway i can fix this? I tried wiping cache partition and factory resetting but it still doesn't work and the green text is still popping up in the upper left part of the screen when i reboot it. I'm currently using the Samsung Galaxy s6. please and ty.

[Q] Black screen of Death

Black screen of death. It's what I call it because that's all I get.
Here is a summary of what happened.
1) My Samsung Galaxy S started to get slower and slower. I decided to turn it off and back on (using
the power down button) to see if it would get any faster.
2) I would then only get the first start screen, then the graphic S screen after which it would go
blank (black screen of death). After about 2 min, if I pressed any keys, the two buttons on the bottom
would light up and stay on. If I pressed any one of them, it would go off and back on.
3) I could hold the power button and it would reboot.
So, that's were it was, here is what I have tried so far.
a) Check to see if I could get into download mode. Yep, that works.
b) Check to see if I could get into recovery mode. Yep, that works.
c) Hmmm, oh well, lets do a system wipe. Yep, can do that but it still would not boot up. I just get
to the graphic S screen and then the black screen of death.
d) Lets take the battery out. (over night) Nope, still black screen of death.
Based on the above, a flash should work right. Sorry, but I had a lag fix installed. Well no matter
what, I could not get the phone to boot so I guess I better try flashing anyway.
I've tried several images. Most of them get the error "your storage not prepared yet, please use UI me nu for format and reboot actions" OK, this is because of the lag fix. I then installed stzupy's image and that fixed the "your storage not prepared yet bla, bla bla. But still black screen of death.
I've tried flashing over and over, with pid 512, 513, 803. Nothing. I still come up the black screen of death.
So, can someone guide me in the right direction. I've done searches on this but everyone else seems to have had a different problem. Mostly doing a Factory Reset worked for them. I've done that over and over. After removing the battery, after flashing, before flashing. Nothing seems to get me past the black screen of death.
Thanks in advance for all and any help,
Jeff
p.s. Please don't reply with a message saying something like flash X's kernel. I need descriptive instructions such as flash with "this kernel" into CSC (or pda or modem) using XXX pid while checking repartion (or not). In other words, don't assume I know what I am doing. I don't.
there is now way you can save your apps installed but your sd card files will be there.
Only thing you can do is reflash my friend

Really don't care about my apps. (I have everything backed up onto my computer via Titanium Backup) But if you check my message above, I have reflashed until the cows come home. I still get the black screen of death.

Sorry Jeff Your Samsung Galaxy S is 'Proper F*cked Mate'
Yes sir I believe you are toast indeed! Your internal SD card is probably toast. I believe you're a fine Canadian of course assuming you've got the Bell i9000m? A lot of us have had this and there's a poll on it actually. Mine just toasted out about 2 weeks ago, thankfully i've an awesome friend in Canada on the forum that has helped me out!
No matter what you flash or try to do, it will not mount the sdcard in there or let you format it manually. You'll have to send it back to BELL or Samsung.

Had the same problem today. Wanted to change from JPA to JPO so thought it best to do a factory reset, but when phone booted up again, it started, then the screen went black with the occasional vibration. Tried all the usual things, removing battery & waiting, wiping cache etc., but no luck. Then put it in download mode & installed JPA again, but same problem on bootup. Thought I had finally managed to brick my phone (horrible feeling). So I solved it this way :-
Installed JM8 using .512 pit with repartition ticked, hooray my phone booted up again. The long delay after the S logo & finally completing boot was nail biting to say the lease. Now everything is working great & I am in the process of installing JPO.

You can do this: - lock bootloader
- power on device
- enable adb debugging on device
- make sure you have adb and fasboot working corectly
- connect device via usb to PC
- run RUU with administrator rights
- and from there on just follow the instructions given by software
- http://www.androidruu.com/?developer=Golf
you really need the 2-4 lines i mentioned up for this to work
Well I managed to lock my bootloader and that, but when i tried to install the RUU it gave me a error. I think it might be an older version.
I think I'm going to need the 2.00.771.3 version :S
I think my phone is useless now. A bit of info, I tried factory resetting my phone (I have rooted my phone prior to this and stupidly thought that factory reset would get rid of the root) but when I reset my phone after the inital setup had gone through all menus it said setup has stopped working. Then my phone wouldn't work no apps or home screen, I could recieve calls and then go onto my settings at the top but nothing more then that, I'm not sure how I can get my phone working again now lol

[Q] Can't boot (FOTAFS_Open... Error)

I just got a used LG L90 to see if I could get it running, so far I can't.
When I turn it on it displays the LG logo for a few seconds then flashes to a green screen that says "Updating software (2/2)" for a fraction of a second before showing a black screen with the following white text:
FOTAFS_Open /cache/fota/log/FSUA_LOG_000.txt, 0, No such file o
FOTAFS_Create /cache/fota/log/FSUA_LOG_000.txt, 66, No such fil

I searched around and found that this phone had a system update that didn't complete correctly and now is stuck like this. I have no idea how to fix it though. I tried the "Flash Stock KDZ Offline LG L90" process, which was apparently successful but it didn't change what is happening.
Notes:
* If I restart with power+volume down it goes to the factory data reset page, but when I select yes it just does the reset, so no recovery is installed.
* If I hold volume up and plug in USB I can get to the software upgrade screen, that's how I did the KDZ flash. Can I do anything from that screen?
Please let me know, or point me in the direction of useful posts. I haven't done anything like this in a couple of years, so I'm a little out of the loop on most things.
Another Note:
On the Firmware Update screen there's a box at the bottom that says:
USER B40
ROOTED

Not sure if that will help any with the diagnosis. I've been trying to get ADB to connect but I can't get it to see the device. (Running adb with the
Code:
adb devices
command and it doesn't show anything).
can anyone had solution to this............??
My phone also struck at same mode.....
fake fota test error
I had no responses to this in any of the forums I posted in. I tried everything I could think of and eventually just contacted LG support. They took the phone in and yesterday I got it back. Looks like they switched it out for a new one, and the problem is obviously solved.
Not a very XDA solution, but an effective one nevertheless.

Yaa.
I contacted LG too .
they wanna replace motherboard..
I think I am missing something...??
because, when I flashed new KDZ it again boots into the same ..
I am trying to get adb access,
If I got the access I can remove laf.img so i can enter into fastboot mode. where I can flash rom/ recovery
otherwise wiping cache and fota partition might work...
still doing some experiments..
But in G2 forums,
one member mentioned that it can't solved until u go to LG service..
but I saw some guides in G2 to unbrick ..
I'll try....
The notes from the repair said something about a "bad language" and that they replaced the motherboard.
It's definitely a new phone though, there were scuffs on the corners of the one I sent in that are not there now, it's scratch free!

[Q] HELP!!! I am soooo [email protected]#ked!!

So...I'm an idiot.
I rooted my phone sometime last week and installed Chroma...its awesome, but thats not the problem
The problem is that when Chroma reset my DPI, a lot of the original stuff that comes in the phone didn't scale properly. I use a pattern password at boot to start because my college has an serious issue with stolen phones...the problem is...my 9 dots are sitting in the corner like a little cue instead of how they usually are and I can't unlock my phone -_-
Is there anyway to reset the DPI without having to get into the phone, bc I've tried and its not happening.
Thanks in advance.

could you not dirty flash the rom? im not sure where the dpi settings are stored. if it is in the system file somewhere it would get overwritten
...and of course I got a unable to mount storage error. Great. But thanks anyways!
All I can really say is... LOL.
Use recovery to access and edit the file /system/build.prop and change the dpi line to correctly match the screen.

A factory reset through recovery wont work? i
If your device is detected by fastboot command it's better backup your data via titanium and do all the things over again following http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6/general/guide-flash-factory-images-nexus-6shamu-t2954008 and follow the second step.
I had the same dpi issue and this is the best solution and you have chance to go back stock rooted unencrypted. the boot img in that thread may be force encrypt you have to download noforce encrypt boot.img
good luck.

Touch inputs reversed left-right

So, I have my S6 since day 1, I rooted it, installed TWRP and fixed deep sleep , everything was fine, until the touch screen start acted up, it is like the touch input are reversed horizontally. ie. if I press the top right corner a touch will register on the top left corner, if I touch bottom left, the touch will register bottom right. This happen in TWRP and in the system. I try factory reset, I try full re-install of stock system. No changes.
Any ideas ?
Got a replacement phone at a TMO location, no issues, no comments about tripped Knox.

This seems to be an issue if you flash wrong root file.
A suggestion is to re-flash bootloader.

Fixed it by reverting to stock rom and going to "TSP FW update (General)" by pressing *#2633#
