Hello everyone,
I was wondering if it was possible to have an advanced audio tool to tinker around some audio parameters on my i9305.
Since Samsung has released the last 4.4.4 version that my audio streamming simply sucks. Audio gets distorted alongside the streamming.
Is there anything I can do/install to try to enhance this on a stock 4.4.4 and root?
Thanks in advance,
Tommy

I recently purchase the At&t S4 active and a pairs of Sennheiser MM-550X,
Those of you who don't know apt-x is codec for bluetooth to keep the sound quality as the original (really close to) source sound files,
in compare to normal Bluetooth which downgrade sound quality to near 120Kbps.
SGS4 active supposed to support this but on the web there's so little information about it,
So.. I want to know how can i confirm Mine got the Apt-x? from what I heard some android version Not support this..
Does Acid audio engine support this?
Is anyone tried?
Thanks!

Hi everyone,
I did multiple researchs but could not find any specific answer for the HTC One.
I converted my HTC One to a full rooted Google Play Edition.
Installed xposed framework and GravityBox (loving the whole package).
My phone streams music via bluetooth APTX to my Hifi amplifier.
Even at maximum, the sound volume isn't high enough and I have to tune up my hifi amp system to the max.
I explored options like Viper Volume Booster but i don't hear any difference.
Is there any mod avaible to boost the volume with Gpe? Using Xposed framework?
Flashing a mod?
Thanks!
K
PS: Found this http://androidcure.com/increase-volume-htc-one/ but seems to be working for custom roms only...
PS2: ok, I finaly found this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2211163&page=410
shame on me....
I have a PIONEER 4690-BT car audio head set in my car. While streaming music over to the car stereo from my xperia z, I have observed that the audio cuts out for a second between 2 - 3 minutes of playing music. I tried the following things to correct this, but of no avail
1. Flashed stock roms from .233 to .230 to .101 to .67 to .263 and ended it with the initial stock rom which was made available with the introduction of the Z through flashtool and .ftf's available over the public network.
2. stock based roms like recent ihacker's rom and miui rom v5 based on .230 firmware also give the same result.
3. Installed and tried nearly all the players available in the market. That, a second pause is common throughout.
4. Increased read ahead value of the sd card through Trickster mod
5. Changed the IO scheduler to all the available ones.
6. Flashed custom kernels from doomlord and others available at XDA for the xperia z.
But, there is one bright spot and that is the rom cooked by the dev pabx. Only through his rom, I got continous streaming from my phone without changing any of the defaults which he had set in his rom. Yes, His rom is fantastic. Thanx to him.
The idea of posting my issue here is to state the problem regarding sony stock roms. I love the post-processing and audio effects in the stock rom. The sound is more vivid and clear on stock roms when played over car stereo speakers. I would love to play music through my car speakers with sony's post processing.
Any help in this regard will be much appreciated. Thanx in advance.

I have experienced this audio stuttering or skip in a second or 2 in Kitkat update(230).. Both earphones and car stereo.. I later researched online and found out that it was one of the bugs which was present in Google's 4.4.2.. I still don't understand why u faced a similar problem in 4.3 and below.. Try doing a fresh install, take a backup of all your apps, data and then wipe everything and then flash a stock rom and see..
I have similar problem. Is there a solution?
Hi there,
Apologies for the noob questions. I'm thinking to grab a cheap Galaxy S to use as an audio player. Therefore if you can help provide some insights to the following would be great:
- Can it output audio to USB DAC?
- If so, what ROM supports it?
- Any special app for maximum sound quality? I heard Voodoo Sound is great.
- Storage issues?
thanks in advance!!!
Hi! Unfortunately it's not possible to use a usb dac with the i9000 to my best knowledge.
However it has a pretty decent wolfson 8994 dac built in. Voodoo sound (now included in CM's dsp manager) takes advantage of that enabling several features, analog gain control, etc.
In case you still want to use your own dac, i'd look for something else:

Hi guys,
I have a question concering LDAC on OOS 5.0 or other custom roms.
I just bought me some 1000xm2 Headphones and thought i can just update my Phone to Oreo and will be able to get some high quality bluetooth music. But it looks like LDAC isnt working. Someone mentioned libaries are missing. U can choose it on the bt audio settings but it wont work.
So is there a workaround for this problem or any custom rom that supports LDAC?
Thx in advance

Hi,
Apparently LDAC codec in OP3T Oreo ROM is working, just it displays wrong information on developer settings
Just now I try my luck to find 1000XM2 but instead of that i found 1ABT, since that one is also LDAC capable so I tried that
Guess what, the Bluetooth codec show in developer settings is show wrong
aptx and aptxHD doesn't included inside the ROM, but LDAC does loaded (see the logcat I captured at attachment, first one is aptx and aptxHD can't load due to lib missing, second one is LDAC is indeed working properly)
But still I do hope that xda would bring this issue up since this is the serious matter that Qualcomm did put OnePlus 3 and 3T on aptx codec enabled device, but then they didn't implement due to "cause prohlem"? This sounds weird for me
Ok, thx for your answer, will try it 2morrow.
Cheers,
