Galaxy Note 5 vibration when touching the screen - Galaxy Note5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys I just recently rooted my Note 5 and I'm just wondering if there is a way to set up vibration when touching the screen?
I researched for the past hour or so and couldn't find anything because there are threads on "how to disable" or turn it off and I would like to turn it on.
Thanks

Turn off power saving mode, or at least turn off that setting in power saving.

Phone keeps popping out of suspend

The screen keeps blinking back to full brightness, every 30 seconds or so, when it is left alone and the screen dims normally. It is as if something is pressing a button or touching the screen.
When I press the power button and send it to suspend mode, the backlight goes off, and the tilt no longer responds to touch or button pressing. For some reason it pops itself out of suspend and turns back on every couple minutes. My battery life is going down extremely fast. 100% to 40% in three hours.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I searched the forum but never found a specific topic for this issue.

I have the same problem w
th the backlight comming on by itself & battery life depletes extremely fast. I am using HD 15 Nov with 3.29.
In addition to backlight issue my hardware keys are no longer working.
Please has anyone got any advice
i have the same problem. the only thing that seems to work is doing the keypad lock and putting it to sleep. it will occasionally blink like its trying to come back on but doesnt. another thing i did is put my phone in flight mode, locking the keypad and putting it to sleep. when i do that it doesnt blink or anything. sadly i wont receive phone calls or emails and texts. i think the blinking has something to do with phone signal and accessing the networks.
hth
also i noticed that it wakes from sleep when the keypad "unlock" screen pops up.
i think i found a fix
Ok I hope this helps for you because it seems to work for me. I first went to start/settings/sounds & notifications. Then I clicked on the notification tab and unchecked everything leaving only the ringer on for when calls come in. when I did that, for about 5 minutes (longest I tested it at) the phone did not turn on and the backlight didn’t do that weird grayish flash thing. Afterwords I at first was going to go down the list of all notifications and turn things on/off to see what wakes up my phone but i got too lazy and only checked one setting. One thing I noticed is that when I have the beam: autorecieved notification turned on for display a message on the screen I get that weird backlight flickering thing. So for now I just have sound alerts on when I receive any type of messages and a sound alert for reminders. So far so good, my phone hasn’t woken from sleep in 20 minutes.

[Q] [REQUEST][App] Global screen dim time out

Hi everyone!
Has anyone found a way (maybe an app?) to change the screen backlight/lock behaviour?
What I'm looking for is the following behaviour:
Ability to have the screen only turn off the backlight after a certain amount of time, with
a) option to lock the device at the same time
b) option to also turn off the part of the screen that reacts to touch at the same time
c) options to set the timers for the aforementioned options separately
Basically I want the device to turn off the screen after 30 seconds to save power, but stay responsive to touch so that I don't need to pick up the device and press the power button before I can use it.
Then, after about 5 minutes, it should lock itself but respond to touch, so that it can be unlocked without needing to press the power button.
Then, after another five minutes, the screen should completely go off and stop responding to touch altogether (the way it is on Android by default).
Has anyone found a way to do this? It would be REALLY useful for when you've got the phone laying flat on your desk and are IM'ing with a slow typer, meaning you've got 2 or 3 minutes between each message, and need to press the power button every time you get one...
It shohuld be a default setting in my opinion...
Thanks in advance!

[Q] Power button remap and going back to home screen

Hi, is it possible to use tasker or some other app to change the time after which Gear should return to home screen? For example, let's say I'm browsing reddit, and I'm taking a break by switching the screen off. Let's say if I turn it on again within 15 minutes - it should come back to the same screen where I powered it off.... Now in case it's been more than 15 minutes, let's say 25, next time I turn the power on, I want to see my main home screen - the clock face. Any idea on how to do that?
nice question. this is the same problem i have.........
but, do exist a time minimun to waut... before the power button return you to HOME?
.......I never noticed if after a certain time that works back to the main screen. ( excuse me for my bad english)

Lockscreen time out not following normal screen timeout.

I have a T3 on 5.1.1 - stock everything, not rooted (yet).
Screen timeout is set to 1 minute.
If I press the power key or home key to turn the phone on, and just leave it sitting there the screen will not shut off. It has been on for 7 minutes so far. Not sure how long it will stay on.
I've had crappy battery life and now I think I know why. Power button or home is getting turned on in my pocket and it won't turn off.
AFAIK, no other timeout settings have been changed other than the Settings -> Display -> Screen Timeout set to 1 minute.
Is there another setting somewhere that is specific to the lock screen's timeout? I can't find one anywhere.
Edit: Has been on for over 20 minutes.
Looks like the lock screen will turn off if I set screen timeout to 15 seconds or 30 seconds. If set to 1 minute or 2 minutes (haven't checked longer than that) the lock screen will not turn off.
Bummer... Oh well 30 seconds it is.
Can someone try and recreate this?
Set your screen timeout to 1 minute. Lock your phone then turn it back on. Does your screen turn off after 1 minute?
If not, set it to 30 seconds and see if that works.
I don't have a t3 or lollipop installed so not really a comparison.
My 910t on FireKat (4.4.4) has always been set on 1 minute and times out just as it should.
Sent from my SM-N910T using XDA Free mobile app
I have the T3 Stock 5.1.1. Screen timeout is set to 1min. Lockscreen turns off in 4-5 sec. That's normal based on all the phones I've had. I would factory reset or think replacement
I'm about to root so I'll do the factory reset then. Don't want to flash any ROMs yet as I like all the features of the Note from TW and not ready to lose them. I can live with a 30sec timeout if needed. At least I know it's not a known bug and it may just be the way it's behaving now and might be fixable.
Thanks for trying it out!

Note 5 How to turn off w/o screen?

So after exactly a year my note 5 went all purple people eater on me and now the screen is black. Digitizer still works.
Here is my problem: How the hell do I turn it off?
Also how would I turn on USB debugging without a screen display?
I can unlock the sceen using Samsung account tho.
Thanks!
That's what I always hated in Android (vs. WP), the system asks you thousands of times "are you sure you want to do this or that"- Same applies when you want to turn your device off, you need to do three actions:
1) Press the start button for 2 seconds
2) Press the screen to select "Power off". It's located at near 70% height and 50% width (middle)
3 Confirm you want to shut down (right in the middle of the screen)
Not sure about USB debugging mode though...
I hope this helps. Get yourself a new screen asap.
Could not accomplish. The Samsung page says my phone is completely unlocked but trying to press buttons I cannot see is damn hard.
