Help:Restoring to stock without flashing a baseband

Hi Guys,
I am currently running temasek Kang 130. I have never flashed a baseband on my phone(I flash roms through recovery only).
1) That means I should still be running on the stock baseband(about phone says baseband is 1035.21_20110725) . Right?
2) So I should be able to return to pure stock by flashing a stock unrooted rom and removing CWM right?
3) If yes where can I find such roms???
PS: If there is noway but to go through flashing a baseband,How can I find whether I should flash v20m or v20l to return to stock(for warranty reasons)???
I am from India.
Thanks in advance

[Q] Problems while downgrading CM10.1 to Stock Gingerbread

Hello,
I want to downgrade my phone from CM10.1 on an original Gingerbread ROM. First I have flashed a 2.3.4 version of DarkyRom. Now I want to have a stock firmware for my Galaxy.
All files that I could find were damaged. (Unpacked with 7ZIP and WinRAR). Then I found a T-Mobile branded version 2.3.6, but I hung permanently fixed in Bootloop.
What version can you recommend me and can you give me a three-part firmware?
Thank you very much
greeting
Julian

Hey,
Just checking, did you flash in a file called dbsdata.rfs.tar? That fille is essential when downgrading from CM9/CM10/10.1 because of different data partitions and so on. If you don't flash it in the phone ends up in a bootloop...
Try flash in dbsdata.rfs.tar (you can get it from so many places) then flash it in via Odin, then report back
Hope I helped

[Q] noob questions....help needed..please

First of all i'm new to this forum...i ordered Samsung Galaxy S Advance in flipkart..and it will be arriving by today...I'm making sure that i do not HARDBRICK it within a few hours after buying.. so please help me..any help would be appreciated....
All i want to know is that
#1 The phone will be arriving with a stock indian gingerbread firmware..Can i flash any country's jellybean firmware onto this stock firmware via Odin 3.07..??
#2 If 'YES' what firmware would be most useful??...( what about the official indian JB FW DDULP8??..because i have already downloaded it )
#3 Does 8GB and 16GB FW differ??
#4 If i flash the indian JB FW .. will i be able to install any JB ROM ( like JetMod,JellyMod ) in that firmware or are ROMs firmware dependent??
#5 The same goes for Kernels...Are they FW dependent or i can just install any JB kernel ( like cocore 6.0 and thunderzap , etc ) on any JB FW..??
This is the Final noob question..
#6 I know that the Binary count reset method by Shaan work on any JB FW...but specifically will it work for the indian official JB FW DDULP8..??

Yes, you can flash INU fw using odin and it doesnt matter ur phone is 8/16gb.
Roms are dependent but they work on different fw's so, dont worry. Just make a nandroid backup from recovery and flash, if by chance u get a bootloop (stuck at logo) you can restore. and kernels are not dependent. Cocore6 works great with Indian fw. And binary wont increase on flashing with cwm/twrp.

Easiest and safest way is flashing through recovery..
There are very less chances of hard brick..Just follow the steps and you should be good.
There are no workarounds for a hard brick.. except jtag repair.. which is usually done in the service centre..

I would say ukf is safer for first time flashing. Easy and safe.

Make sure you know if you have a GT-I9070 or GT-I9070P. You can easily brick your phone putting firmware for on on the other.
try samsung kies update or OTA first.. this way you can experience kies or over the air update..
if its not available, you can do Odin update..
make sure you have atleast 50-80% battery charged..

[Q] Lost Phone Signal on Flashing ROM

Hi Guys,
Since I am new, I cannot post on the development groups. I was installing a ROM on my friend's S Advance. Whenever I flash a ROM, I am able to install everything properly but I have lost my mobile signal completely . I cannot make calls or send messages, the SIM works fine on other phones. What could be the problem here?
In Phone Status, it shows :
Network : Unknown
Signal strength : 0 dBm 99asu
Mobile Network Type : Unknown:0
Service Status : Radio Off
I have an Indian version of the phone, Baseband : i9070DDLK2
I tried looking for Radio files to Flash, but cannot seem to find it anywhere on XDA,
Please please help me out. Thank You so much for reading. Please let me know how to make it work.

Flashed this ROM :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2324100
I tried flashing a few other ROMs too. Same issue with them.
NOOOOO
These roms can be flashed ONLY over JB 4.1.2 firmware! You have GB.
Please first upgrade to JB and then flash this rom!

Yes. Factory reset in recovery then rebooted in download mode and flashed via Odin
What FW did you flash? 2.3.6 or 4.1.2 ?

I tried flashing this :
I9070DDULP8_ODDULP8_India_Android_4.1.2 Since the following were the only 2 available for India on the XDA links and the others I found, I thought I'd give it a try :
REGION: INU (India) | PDA: I9070DDLJ1 | CSC: I9070DDLJ1
DOWNLOAD

Then I figured out it won't work for i9070DDLK2 so I'm trying to reflash to stock 2.3.6
If you know where I could find a 4.1.2 link for i9070DDLK2, do let me know. I'd be grateful
No.. ddlk2 is 2.3.6 and ddulp8 is 4.1.2
First u need to flash ddlk2 which is 2.3.6 and then flash ddulp8 which is 4.1.2!

Okay. Thanks for clarifying. All these baseband versions on Samsung have me thoroughly confused.
I am pretty new to Samsung devices when it comes to rooting. Really appreciate you clarifying it.
Actually I had jumped from Firmware 2.3.6 to a custom ROM on 4.2.2 and then tried jumping back to Firmware 4.1.2 and hence the bootloop was occurring. (It's kind of making some sense now )
Thank you so much for clarifying, didn't read it clearly on blogs I guess, my bad. Firmware 2.3.6 is on download. I'll do a clean install of the firmware on ODIN and then try 4.1.2 and then custom ROMs. Thanks
Yes. And don't need to say 'Thanks', just HIT it!
