Hi,
I have problem with autofocus in my Z3c, if I take picture from 5-20cm it's OK, when i try make photo of longer distance, picture is not focused.
I try stock camera app, google camera app, factory reset, software repair via PC Companion, pictures are still blurry. Any suggestions?
Front camera works OK.
FW: 23.4.A.1.232
custom. 1288-7915_R5c
no simlock

I had similar problem with my Z3c! Luckyly, I had my phone replaced under warranty. I hope you still have warranty left coz if it's a hardware issue like it was in my case, then you're out of luck without warranty!

I don't know why but when I change firmware to 24.4.A.1.264 Baltic Generic via flashtool everything is alright!
Somebody knows why factory reset, or firmware repair via pc companion doesn't work?
Now my camera work OK!

Hello I am looking for help with my Galaxy S Advance I still have a camera application error. They manage to work with sometimes but rarely, I had already different roms and the phone was on and still nothing. Motherboard and the camera itself are efficient because it said service. Now I have a rom "Carbon_Janice_KK-4.4.2_Build8" are any suggestions.

Flash stock JB with Odin and see if it works there. Do factory reset. If that do not work, then probably it is not about software.

I am not sure, you better go to service centre. If you did factory reset too, then probably it is not software problem.

Have you already tried a third party camera app? If they found a problem as you mentioned above means it was exactly what was said by the @shut_down

Is your phone rooted or not? If not, send it in for warranty. No sense in trying to fix it by yourself if your warranty is still valid

In most cases they give you another phone. You're lucky, your warranty is about to expire and you're going to get another phone [emoji4]
problem with htc one m7 camera
it should be a hardware issue.
return it to HTC ASAP.
Just make sure your m7 is locked, unroot, S-ON and has the stock ROM before you send it to RMA.
Or HTC will charge you some $, since the ROM and setting has been changed.

I recently replaced a cracked screen from a friend's xperia Z. I handled the flex cables very carefully and double checked them. The screen doesn't work properly though. Here is a sample of what it looks like
I noticed it doesn't have this flickering effect down at the buttons. Do you think it could be software related? I did a full recovery with pc companion to be sure but got the same result anyway.

Hello,
I have my phone for 4 months and it is taking steamy photos for about 1 month. It doesn't matter which mode I use. (Super auto, manual etc.) I'm not sure why it takes that bad photos. With sun light, it is steamy and bad quality, at night it is dying :/
Is there anyone facing this problem ?
Here are some sample photos that I've taken.
Edit: Site doesn't allow me to show the photos

First you have to determine if it is a software problem or a hardware problem
----------------
Try flashing a different Firmware to see if the problem persists if it doesn't, then it was a software problem but if it does
I suggest you try cleaning the lens and if that fails, send the phone to Sony, theres nothing more you can do at this point
Godspeed!

Hi,
Thank you for your answer. I'm not sure but i think it is a software issue.
Can you give me an idea to downgrade to another firmware such as: 23.2.A.0.278

you can dowgrade to old original firmware with flashtool
you can also simply reset your firmware with the sony pc companion, it takes about 30-40 minutes for me
in both cases, make sure to backup all your important information before you change the firmware as it will be factory reset
should the problem persist then your camera is likely damaged.
You can either replace the camera yourself, they are about 30€ on ebay, or send it to sony for warranty repair. Takes about 10 workdays from sending the phone to getting it back (in Germany)
Hey guys,
I have to sent my Z3C to repair on warranty, because of the microSD/microUSB flip problem.
During the time with my phone, I rooted it, installed TWRP from How-to: root, keep and backup DRM keys, etc. [KitKat/Lollipops/Marshmallow/etc.] and then, I installed SLiMM rom.
Now, I'm without root, without TWRP, closed bootloader (never changed that) and stock rom (Thank You Pokemon Go -.-').
I'm safe to call Sony for assistance?
Thanks
Yeah, you're fine. As long as the issue is clearly hardware related, there's no real concern about them denying the claim for software changes. Just don't be surprised if they factory reset your device before mailing it back to you.

I contacted them through chat, and they said I'll have to pay to change the microsd port because I changed the software...
Because of that I'm concerned...

If you restored to factory state before taking it to the service then I believe there is no way for them to know you actually did some software changes to the device
Anyone heard about any kind of track done by Sony of what has done to the phones?

HAHAHAHAHA! That's ridiculous!
First of all, never tell Sony customer support that you've done anything to the phone software. They will be more than happy to void your warranty to avoid losing money on the repair. Secondly, do not use any RMA number they provided to you (because it probably has a note attached to it in Sony's system indicating that the repair is not warrantied). Finally, chat/call Sony support, tell them the SD card isn't working. Tell them you tried all the BS techniques to fix it (reboot, factory reset, sony PC companion, etc), and then get a new RMA number that will get the device fixed under warranty.
Send in phone, wait a week, get repaired phone, enjoy!

First first of all, I had a insight to ask to not keep any information of any kind during the chat session... Only after that, I told I rooted, changed the firmware, insisted that the software and hardware is working perfectly. They said I lose the warranty anyway... Later, I contacted them to erase all information they had about me. So I don't have an RMA ticket yet. But thanks for the advise.
Hmmm one more thing.... Because of my poor english, I wasn't clear enough.. The microSD is working fine. The problem is the microsd cover. The small rubber is loose and the cover wont close correctly. I cleaned everything but wont solve. It may be a "small" problem, but I lose the water resistance....

Now I'm with 6.0.1 stock blessed with a lot of apps and stuff that I don't like T-T but I'll contact them...
I contacted them again. Since they have a repair center here, I just have to go there and leave my Z3C for repairs.
I will appreciate if they give my a brand new cellphone (I'm dreaming to much? hehehe). A friend of mine received a Z3+, but his case was more serious. Anyway... I'll update this thread when I have an update on the situation.
Until then, thanks everyone.
