Hey guys!
So I went ahead and followed this guide to go back to stock 4.4.2
I then went ahead and followed this guide starting from the part that says "Install Pre-Rooted Lollipop on AT&T Galaxy S5"
I went ahead and installed busybox from the playstore and then installed SafeStrap.apk. But now, safestrap doesn't load when I'm booting up the phone so I'm not able to install any rom. Any ideas?
Use flashfire.

I need some help please. I rooted my Verizon Droid 3 using Pete's tool, then debloated using the script found here. I then installed Safestrap 1.06 did my my backup etc. and have been running Mavrom. I needed to go back to stock unrooted for some testing so I restored my backup, uninstalled Safestrap, rebloated, unrooted and then factory data reset my phone and SD card. Now when I reboot I still get the Safestrap spalsh screen? Any ideas?
Thanks

Did you go into the Safestrap app and uninstall recovery before you uninstalled and unrooted? (My guess is no.) If not, I would re-root, re-install Safestrap, and then open the app and tap the button to uninstall recovery. Then unroot again and you should be all set.
Thanks for the reply. You are correct I did not do that! I will try following your directions! Thanks again!

I've been getting the "System update downloaded" card popping up over the past day on my Live, but I can't install it. It needs to reboot to recovery and install it, but I have TWRP installed, so it just goes to the recovery main menu and does nothing.
Is there any way to install updates with the way my watch is currently, or do I have to flash stock recovery, update, then reflash TWRP?
Did you get it to work?
I flash stock wear recovery, then installed update. Went into recovery and started to install then it stopped and gave me the android with the triangle.
Downloading update from android police, i will try to adb sideloade update.

No, the exact same thing happens to me, and I get "Status 7" error and the same screen you got.
I used Tomsgt utility to lock bootloader and stock recovery.went to settings, system updates. Started to download update. After it downloaded flashed update. All is good. I'm on 5.0.1
Good luck! Let me know if this works for you.

I had to flash the stock KMV78Y located here before I could update (that's what the status 7 was about).
All good now.
I just installed the rooted stock lollipop on my S5. I installed safestrap following the instructions, the app shows it as installed but when I press the "boot to recovery" it just restarts. I don't get the splash screen or anything else. Any ideas? I tried reinstalling it already.

Safestrap does not work with Lollipop! Only FlashFire. Or use this guide,

At this point flashing with FF is still experimental. Here is a good place to start:

I upgraded from cog2 to dok2 by flashing through odin just fine. then I flashed cfauto root through odin to retain root, worked great check through root checker and have root. now my problems come when i try to install twrp 3.0.0. I go into odin and flash, says successful and phone boot up just fine. but when I power phone off and try to launch twrp it just stays on the samsung galaxy note 4 powered by android screen, then shuts off the goes back to screen and does this it wont boot to twrp or boot back to normal start up. i have to go back to download mode and start the process all over again reflashing dok2 and root, Every time i try to install twrp same thing. Any ideas?
Latest twrp is like 2.8.7.6 or something not 3.0.0 make sure your flashing the correct twrp or philz recovery for your phone model.

Latest is 3.0.0.0-1. Op downloaded the version that was bugged. A new version came out that fixed the problem and is posted in the twrp 3.0.0.0 thread in the T-Mobile galaxy note 4 original development forum

I want to run Viper 4 android but the root is systemless. From my understanding I have to be using regular root to use Viper 4 android.
My question is, is it possible to go from systemless root to regular root?
Thanks
Just follow the instructions, flash MM, flash twrp, flash the latest SuperSU beta, load your apps. Then flash freeza's beast mode kernel that was released today on the Android development section. Then install viper as usual. I flashed the kernel at lunch and viper is running fine.
