chainfire super su: apps doesn`t grant super user permission forever - SuperSU

Hallo community
One month ago I rooted my Nexus 5 with the super su 2.5.2 and flashed the Elemental X Kernel. It`s a great Kernel. Battery improved so I have now 2 H on SoT and the wifi signal improved a lot.
I use the Greenify app and the Elemental X Kernel Manager as apps which I want to grant always super user access.
Greenify grant super user access but when I still have it running in the background and 1 minute later I open it again there comes again the window " greenify has been granted super user permission.
However when I open the Elemental X kernel Manager there is also the window which let this app grant super user permission. But with this app I can stil run it in the background and after some hours it has still super user access and when I open it than again there doesn`t pop up the window "...grant super user permission".
I know that android kills apps when It needs space/ memory is full.
Is there a possibility to let certain apps grant always super user access?
Is there an app in the playstore or somewhere else which opens an app immediately when It`s not running?

Apps That Run In Background

I have tons of apps, but none should be running in background except a few,
Right now Bar control and Sim checker should be only ones running in background. But yet the phone is acting so slow, So I wonder if there's more apps running in background I cant see or something that slowing down the phone
So can someone post the name of any app that can see EVERY SINGLE thing running in background but easily enough someone noob as me at this phone can understand, I had one but was all codes and I could not make heads or tails, I just want to know whats running thats making it act so damn slow
second, does sim checker or bar control take up lot of cpu or memory? or anything? if they do, or does anyone know any other apps that take up a lot of resources from the system so I know to get rid of them or prevent me downloading them in the future
If you install Terminal Emulator you can run the linux command top to get a realtime list of running processes and their cpu usage.
Hi, I'm the dev of SIM Checker. Actually it just checks at boot if the sim card is the correct one, and if so it stops itself. So it's not using any cpu and the garbage collector will kill it when there's need of memory - if you want you can manually kill it.
Well thats good to hear...Sim checker is great app, ok so I did the command in the terminal but wont let me scroll up so I cant see everything
do it on the pc through adb shell
i just uninstalled
wertago phonebook and quickoffice.
they all ran in the background right from the startup which is gay. i would have kept them if they wouldn't restart them self after a reboot or after i close them trhough task manager
How do I run it from adb shell in my pc?
Also ya the advance task manager I have I close everything before I do anything else and the services have no apps running I downloaded so why is it so slow? is there something besides a service that can run in background from an app? even with that "top" command in terminal everything besides like 2 system things are 0% cpu..but does not show memory usage

[Q]Delay for Superuser Permissions

I am having an issue where it sometimes takes five minutes after a boot, before any of my root apps are able to successfully be granted su priveleges. Terminal will just say "Permission denied" on an "su". Then, after a few minutes, I'll get 5 or 6 toast popups from the Superuser Permissions saying "xxx has been granted superuser" (they have all previously been granted su and it was "remembered"). I noticed that it's usually right at the same time my new email notification pops up the first time after booting.
Is this normal? Is there any way to speed this up?
G1, CM6 RC2 (happened in RC1 as well).

SGS battey reduce !

SGS battey reduce !
i have samsung galaxy 1S
i'm using ZDbox apps
so that show me when i recharge mobile full 100%, after the battery gone to empty i have more than 37h
now when i install same apps when i recharge..
I don't understand what do you mean, can you explain us ?
ok i have ZDbox apps this app can show me how many hours that can my mobile still run *when i recharge my battery full 100%. this apps show me 37hours after mobile shutdown.
but now when i install a lot of apps and when i recharge my mobile full that not show me 37hours just 25h with 100% of my battery
Ha, that's normal. When you install apps, your phone's battery life will be less longer, since the apps are often running in background, or have process lanched.
i install same apps like advanced killer or ZDbox that i can kill all the apps working in the background
but they comeback to run !! how to stop them
Task Manager is a very good app for killing background applications.
But if you want to remove system apps, you need to download root explorer from the market, and just remove the app you want in system/app
Hi
U can use root explorer ( but u have root??) be careful with system apps. For first you can get Titanium backup and freeze some apps like widgets, maps, email. When u do that u will see a difference.
i use zdbox & task manager i kill the apps more than 12 apps, but its comeback to run automaticly so how i con stop it !!?
i have version 2.3.6 already rooted i have titanuim backup i dont understand how doe it work !!.
up g
Some apps are always running in background.
So if you really want to stop theses processus, you have to delete the system apps which are running.
For example, defauts apps like gmail, etc can be remove and won't appear in your task manager if you delete them.
To do that, download 'Root Explorer', or 'Root Browser'.
Go to System->App folder and find the right apk you won't see running again.
Right hit on it, click delete.
if i delete and i want go to this apps i can do it normal ?? and i exit that hide
because my freinds has htc desire hd other xperia x10 with android they didn't have this probleme

Ending Tasks?

I'm pretty new to the Android world, and I have a few questions.
Whenever I "KILL" an app, it says that it's gone. However, when I launch the task manager up again, the apps are running again. How can I make it so programs like, "IM" or "MOTOPRINT" just never launch at all?
And, I rooted my Droid 4 and got another app named Superuser. What does this do?

The apps you are referring to are system apps. Although Android kills them, Motorola has registered them as services so that they will restart automatically. Freeze IM to make it stay killed (it will essentially uninstall it) but I recommend leaving Motoprint because it is darn useful!
The app named "superuser" is essentially a graphical frontend to the super user permission manager. As you grant or deny applications root or "administrative" access, they will show up in the superuser app so that you can either change that setting or review which apps you have granted or denied system access.

Relating to freezing apps, the only program I've came around to do this is Titanium Backup Pro. However, it requires you to pay, are there any free ones out there that will allow me to freeze apps? Thankyou.
AntTek App Manager works great for me. AntTek also has what appears to be a pretty decent root file explorer.

[Q] Post Root Actions?

Finally have rooted my Droid 4 on OTA JB update, after few tries.
This is my first time to root my Droid 4, for some reasons couldn't do on ICS.
Can anyone help me with following things :
1. The reason I wanted to root my phone was to remove unnecessary inbuilt apps (Verizon, Chrome, Netflix, etc.). How do I do that?
2. Have realized my RAM being crowded with something or other and want my RAM to be free as much as possible. How can I prevent apps from starting on their own, resulting in my RAM being free.
3. Optimize the battery for longer lasting.
4. Block ads from popping up in any other apps. I guess these ads consume extra battery life.
5. What more can I do with my rooted phone
Thank You for writing back!
For #1 I recommend using Titanium Backup, it allows you to remove or freeze unwanted apps. The good thing about freezing is that it prevents the app from starting and hides it, but it doesn't remove it so OTA updates should be unaffected.
For #2 you might want to try ES Task Manager. It has a section for managing start up apps.
For #4 I recommend trying the app AdFree. I've been using it for a while and it seems to get the job done.
#1 and #2 will help with your battery and if you need more power, I've been very satisfied with Juice Defender.
For #5, just to list a few, you can set/underclock/overclock your CPU speed and install custom firmwares.

I think you need the Pro version of Titanium Backup to freeze things, I use "App Quarantine ROOT/FREEZE" which is free to do (presumably) the same job.
Cheers,
Steve.
