Nook HD running CM 10.2. With HDMI adapter connected nook will not see game controllers as it usually does with USBHost Switcher running. Sure it has to do with the nook not being able to input and output at the same time or something of that sort but, has anyone used both together successfully?
Hi there
I did a couple searches and found nothing in Atrix HD thread regarding this. So I'd like to ask if anyone has tried the Microsoft Wireless display adapter on this phone and how good/bad is it.
That is a dongle that plugs to your TV and that lets you mirror your phone screen using miracast protocol (through wi-fi direct I believe). Apparently, unlike Chromecast, you don't have to have compatible streaming apps and just use it as if you had the hdmi plugged into the tv.
Anyhow, any feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks
Hi all, my wifi connection is very bad. Is it possible to connect the chromecast with an ethernet cable?

Actually, yes you can! I just got my otg adapter today and it works perfectly. 100mbits ethernet is much better than my flaky 2.4ghz 54gbit connection. I have a lot of wifi ap's in my neighborhood, so there's a lot of interference.
Look over here for the parts/guide:
productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/chromecast/xo_NDh5CZA8 :highfive:
Product USB VID/PID Link
Linksys USB300M
Linksys USB3GIG
Apple (A1227)
BobjGear USB to RJ45
D-Link DUB-E100 0b95:7720
Could you argue how you use such adapter? You mean that plugging it on a Chromecast (using the necessary adapters) it just works?

Actually I guess only using another WiFi Access Point which you would bridge to the current WiFi...or you may consider a Wireless Repeater/Extender with all the side effects.

If you follow the URL he provided you will see it requires a Powered OTG cable to supply power and plug in the USB to Ethernet adapter.
And I probably would be sure to buy only one of those adapters that are listed as others may not be recognized by the device correctly.

Thanks right, it just works.
To make sure it's only using the hardwire, I enabled a mac filter list on my wifi ap and blocked the chromecast's wireless mac address.
has same questions as yours, but now it already being solved.
It appears that the CC can connect via wired ethernet quite easily. A post today on the Australian Whilpool forum describes how it's done. Please see http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies.cfm?t=2418159&#bottom

A lot cheaper than the adapter Google is selling. Also, you'll only have to buy a Y USB cable other than the USB to Ethernet adapter.

Here in Canada I can't acquire the official Google adapter for less than $50. Fortunately it turns out I already have a Linksys USB3GIG so I'm ordering the Y-cable from Amazon.ca. Decided to splurge on an $8 one that will ship in two days instead of the $3 that ships from Asia.
Very interesting thing ... I have a zone in the house with an old-ish TV and very very low WiFi ... I will try to Ethernet connection myself ... Thank you for the news I had no idea .

So I ended up ordering this AFUNTA cable:
http://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00EAM8A5G?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=od_aui_detailpages00
It was CDN$8.97 compared to the Importer520 cable at CDN$2.31. But for a price difference cheaper than a sandwich, I was able to get two-day shipping instead of waiting weeks for it to ship from Hong Kong. Totally worth it because my apartment has such bad wi-fi interference that I wanted it solved immediately.
Combined it with my existing Linksys USB3GIG and it worked. Like magic. Once the Ethernet connection is established you'll notice the wi-fi network name no longer appears on the start screen.
I had a difficult time setting up my Chromecast Audio via wifi. Determined it didn't play well with my TP-Link AV500 power line extender. Bought the Chromecast Ethernet adapter and plugged it into the TP-Link Ethernet port. Now it's "set and forget ". Works great.

Had this exactly same problem and solved the same way
I bought a type c to HDMI cable, hoping it would work with my TV Unfortunately it didnt, anyone know another way round this or if elephone are going to get a set up for this as I'm really wanting to watch the phone 4g access through my TV (not casting) as I've no phone line so no wifi, or access to one!!!!!???
Screen mirroring or Miracast will be your only option. You can also set up a hotspot if your smart tv is Wifi compatible. Alot of new phones have no MHL compatibility.
You can use chromecast with localcast app for media on your phone or stream off 4g using chromecast compatible apps without mirroring. It works with personal hotspot but you need a second phone to do the initial chromecast setup.
You can use a DisplayLink USB graphics adaptor and the DisplayLink app from the Google app store. It works for me.
I also can use a Dell D3100 docking station, for HDMI output, and keyboard _ mouse input.

What rom did you use and what DisplayLink USB graphics was that? I tried my own one, but it kind of didn't wanted to work.
Also, I'm really curious: Did the D3100 charge your phone while being used with stuff connected to the dock?

I use an elephone P9000 with standard ROM.
The dock does not charge the phone but the phone has wireless charging.

Currently the P9000 does not use the Dock audio output, nor the audio on my plugable USB3-HDMI-DVI adaptor.
I don't know if it used to to audio before the latest firmware.

I have also used this device with much success, with Dell Android Tablet, Windows laptops, Motorola Moto-G: http://plugable.com/products/usb3-hdmi-dvi/
It "works" with P9000 but currently is not passing audio over HDMI. I can't remember if I ever had that working on earlier firmware.
After receiving an otg cable I ordered, I connect a wireless mouse with a dongle and it worked perfectly. When I connected my Xbox 360 wireless receiver, however, the controller couldn't connect, instead the ring kept flashing. The controller is already linked to the receiver btw. Does anyone know how to fix this?
Hi, did you got the controller working? I have the same problem.
Can't get Xbox One or Xbox 360 controllers working with otg adapter, but i connect other devices without any problem like keyboard and mouse.
Any help??
