Hard bricked g870 active - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 5

Does anybody or can any body get me a scatter file ? Seeing as how its hard bricked and dead to the world I cant try to resurrect it without one. Maybe a 900a may work if they are close enuff.

hey can someone that has a 870 active please use sp flashtool and create me a scatterfile/? i hardbricked mine . need this scatterfile to bring it back up to life. if you need more info about it just let me know. it just reads memory locations so it can map them to flash certain files back to them , need it to recover the bootloaders sections. its like a pit file for odin it just flashes without it being in download mode.

Some help would be nice uh, Hi^~^
OK mate I've get away from modding my phones from 2 years now but if you guide me throughout the process I'll give you the file you need a g870a here ~ text me or whatever you want to [email protected] English or Spanish is welcome

did you end up getting the scatterfile?

Oh I fixed it a while back. By the way our phones are almost unbrickable as long as its just software related. I mean I hardbricked it and got it from no lights sounds or even charging screen, I mean nothing so if you happen to do that it's still fixable, and I have all the files to recover it.

any recommendations on a soft bricked SM-G870A, stuck at the at&t logo.

There's alot you can do for that if you are rooted its simple if not then you have to go back to stock firmware. Depending on what you we're on and trying to do

well my phone started out as a soft brick and now its fully bricked. was able to get into safe strap and i tried to flash a rom to slot 1 and it bricked my phone. Nothing pops up the only sound i get from it is when i connect it to my pc.

[Q] How to Unbricking Hard Bricked Samsung Galaxy Ace

Hey Guys,
I have Samsung Galaxy Ace (GT-S5830), recently while uprading the my ace with the Cyanogenmod10, i had bricked my phone, now it never goes into the download mode so that i can flash the firmware with Odin. Actually yesterday, i used Rom Manager to Install the Custom Rom, and when said yes to install the custom rom, phone shutdown, and never started again, i googled around for some way out to go into the download mode, tried all the key combination, but could not go into the download mode, i tried the Home + VolumeUp and connected the USB to PC, with this method, my phone was detected, but because it was not in the download mode (i guess), so Odin just stucked at setup connection... and does not go further. Have anyone went through this dilemma, can anyone help me out of this, my warranty period is elapsed, so was thinking to get phone back to life myself.
Please anyone help me with this, i love the phone... I know that was my mistake to use Rom Manager to Install the Rom.
take it to the service. there is no other way. i tried everything, belive me. repairing costed me 200hrk (around 45$).
and
DONT USE ROM MANAGER
By taking it to a service center...Only way to recover it

i know that could be the way to back my phone to life, but just wondering, what the servicing guys would be going to do, which i cannot do.
They'll use a JTAG. You can do that to but they're really really really expensive.

I don't think being in-warranty would have made any difference, it would have been void anyway

check the back of your phone.when you remove your battery you will see 3 gold squares..when you take it to the service center and it becomes 9 silver small squares it means that they didnt change the motherboard they just solder it to connect wires to the motherboard they used jtag...:cyclops:

Check for imei no. If they use JTAG it won't change since the motherboard/chip set of the phone is same.

Don't know where, but its more expensive than a brand new ace (and lots of low-mid range smartphones)
I bricked mine 1 week after getting it. I took it in and said it shut off and I can't turn it back on. They made sure it wasn't the battery, then replaced it under warranty. So if you still have a warranty, it's worth a try. The guys at the store won't know you've been screwing around with it.
To use Rom Manager you need a CM-compatible rom installed. It says that right on Rom Manager's download page. DO NOT USE WITH STOCK ROMS EVER!!!

[Q] please help ,lgp970 not switching on and no s/w mode :'(

Hi there
By mistake i messed up the CP and AP bin files(they were really small in size) then i flashed my phone with same AP and CP files using Smart flash (i was able to go into s/w mode).
I tried to switch on my phone but then the phone didn't switch on(nothing works no led lights too and black screen) nor was i able to go into s/w mode :crying:
I brought the phone to a technician and he said he can't fix the phone because the software completely crashed
Can you please help me with some instructions on how to resolve this issue please
Why don't you try the hard reset method. Go to the thread, it's below the smartflash tool.. It's a thread for noobs/newbies. Not sure if it will work though

The hard reset doesn't work, is there anyway to revive the phone ? Or is there a way to flash it without s/w update ?

i9305, boot screen freeze, help :)

Hi everybody!
I've got a little issue with my phone Samsnung S3(gt-i9305), I post a thread here because I don't know what else to do.
The problem is that the phone is freezed on the samsung logo which "flash", as soon as I put on the battery.
- I hold the "power" button for a long while, nothing happens
-I try to launch RecoveryMode(up+home+power), nothing happens
-I try differents battery, nothing happens
My only hope:
I can launch the "download" mode(down+home+power), but if I let the battery in, it return to the flashing logo.
So I have to remove the battery(with the USB on my PC of course) and it work!!
So I'm in download mode, without battery.
But:
- I install my latest stock ROM, about 10 times, nothing happens (Firmware : I9305XXUEMKC_I9305XEFEMK1_XEF (4.3))
- I try to do the previous step with "nand erase all" and "T-flash", nothing happens
... WTF!
Is someone's got any idea of what's going on, and how can I do to save my phone?
I'm still searchiong on the forum, but any help will be so deeeeply appreciated
Thank very much for reading and helping
I'm scratching my head very strong, and I think it may be a power supply problem, maybe the power switch on and off so the phone cannot boot, and that's why it's work when I remove the battery.
Is anybody knows that kind of problem? Do you think I can open my phone and fix the problem?
Thanks
Did u flash any file before this happened? And ur first post. Firstly, the gt-i9305 is NOT the s4. And this is the gt-i9300 forum. Anything u flash here will just lead to ur phone being hard bricked.

Hi, yes I know it's the S3, it was just a mistake sorry, I fixed it.
My phone was rootet and flashed with the last official stock rom samsung I9305XXUEMKC_I9305XEFEMK1_XEF (4.3).
Until now it worked very well!
I begin to prepare myself that my phone is definitly dead :'( but 've got a full copy of my internal Sd on my computer. I would like to get back my contacts, is anybody knows how to open that kind of file: contacts2.db-wal ?
I tried with SQlite bug it didn't work.
And Jumaqidi, I just saw that I missed the line of 9305 Q&A (was just above 9300), very sorry for that, what can I do, must I post another thread in the right section, or I wait until an admin move my thread?
Thanks

Hard bricked my phone...

I wasn't paying attention and I messed up. I was planning on flashing AllianceROM to the latest version, and without thinking I downloaded the zip file and started to flash. In the middle of the process, my phone shut off suddenly, and now it won't even turn on. I plug it in and the computer doesn't register anything.
I realized that I flashed it with this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...lliancerom-v9-available-changelog-op-t2037363, which is for the Galaxy S2.
Have I completely messed up? Is this phone basically irreparable? I can't go into safe mode or anything like that. And I've obviously voided the warranty...
If you can't get into Odin mode or Recovery, then yes, unfortunately you bricked it.

Would it be "fixed" if I got the motherboard replaced? How about jtagging or usb jig?
I should still be under warranty but Samsung says I need proof of purchase even though they know the purchase date. I seem to have misplaced the receipt and it's making me want to tear my hair out because they're basically avoiding having to help me. (I understand this was my fault but they're blatantly saying I have no warranty.)
Probably need a new motherboard. If you can't get it to power up at all.

How much would it cost me to get a new one, and where could I get one?
Or would it be cheaper to make an appointment at SoHo Samsung Studio and have them repair it for me?
Don't know, personally I'd try and find a busted s5 on eBay. One with a broken screen and clean IMEI

It can be done for the g900a you just gotta find a debrick image. There was one in this thread but not sure if it's still active or not.

Not sure about the computer....i think it usually shows QHUSB_BULK when hard bricked...again not sure though.
If it's not powering on with a properly flashed debrick SD card then your probably going to need jtag or new board.
