One month ago my z3c screen broke. I sent it to the repair centre to get it fixed (170€ for changing the screen).
As I said it has been 1,5 moths and the phone came back with vibration non working, a different bezel (less translucent) and the bezel part around the dock connector not being there. Not to mention the USB cap which is the same I had before (the difference between the plastic of the cap and the rest of the phone is clear) that is simply coming off.
All this happened in Italy. Anyone else having this type of trouble?

The new one
Condition of the phone

I think you should contact the center as soon as possible, asking for a new repair.
I had a similar issue a month ago. My Z3c had the upper part of the screen detached from the rest of the phone. They replaced the screen for free (it was under warranty), but with a faulty one: the edges were completely black and didn't light up. I immediately sent an email to the repair center explaining the problem and they apologized, inviting me to send the phone again (offering to pay the shipping fees). After a week, I received it fixed.
I'm in Italy too and I used the "Sony Top Care" service.
I gave it to the repair centre again. I will probably wait one more month. The strange thing is that Sony lists the centre as one of their authorised ones but has not found any repair history by the IMEI code of the phone which made me wonder what the hell happened
Sent from my GT-I9301I using XDA-Developers mobile app
As far as I know, in Italy there are only two official repair center: one in Milan and another one near Bari. The first one is for the "Sony Top Care" service, the second takes all the other requests.
The remaining centers listed on Sony website are only "collection center", as you give them your device and they ship it to the repair center in Bari.
Check on the documents they gave you if your smartphone has effectively been in one of the official repair centers.
The repair centre I gave it is listed on the site and they said that they repaired it there. I also saw the Xperia care logo there. they told me that it should be ready by tomorrow. I'll keep you informed

Good for you! Good luck
Btw I'm still convinced that the bezel is of a different type
Sent from my GT-I9301I using XDA-Developers mobile app
Honestly I couldn't really say it from the photos, but it could be.
Maybe it seems different because it's new or, on the contrary, for the repair they used an old one, taken from another phone.

My X1 met with an accident before six months, which left one part of the slider loose compared to the other, and the screen broke and i have a spider web kinda crack on one part of the screen.
I've gone to three service centers till date and all of them told me that they do not have the spare parts and have to import it from god damn knows where.
I sent a mail to x1support also, but no reply.
What are the other options i have to get my phone repaired? People from India, please reply
India is not the only country to have lazy Sony support. I guess you will have to wait for the X2. Sorry if I am not being helpful but I have bad experiences with Sony in many parts of Asia and Europe. In many 'third world' countries they are more geared up to service TVs, DVD recorders, and audio systems (even laptops) but just do not have the expertise for high-end phones.
sigh... i think i will go back to the java based Sony ericsson phones. atleast i got good support.
Se service is pathetic
Hi,
Icompletely agree on this pathetic service by SE. I am from India. I have been haveing some problem with my xi lately. I went to Se service centre for getting the phone repaired as it was stuck in the headset mode. I was told that it has happened because of some liquid geting in the mother boardand we will have to check with the head office and after some fifteen days later when i get my phone, the slider key board is loose and i can not type through this propery. When i told them they are saying it was like that only. very irresponsible answer. One this is for sure that this is going to be my last SE phone and I will make sure that people around my dont get into the same trap and dont buy any of these SE phones. Pathetic is the only word for their service. Infact I am planning to sell this phone off and get another NON SE phone.
Yes it is lol. I know of only one person that was completely content with their srvices. I guess it was a fluke, or a competent clerk (fired sooon aftert that lol).....
i bet you had to wait so long because they keep all the spare parts in korea incase their korean customers get a crack or something because they are the most important people.

So about a month ago I bricked my Galaxy Tab and had to send it in for repairs. When it came back, it had an about two inch-long vertical gap between the upper-left side of the frame and the screen wide enough to be able to stick a fingernail into. They had us send it in again, and when it came back it looked like a brand new unit. Although according to them they just replaced the frame. Now however it appears to have a shorter horizontal gap along the right-upper frame. It's not as wide either, but in sunlight you can kinda see into it and glean something small and metallic in there. I don't seem to remember the Tab having had any of these gaps to begin with. I was wondering if anyone can say whether this is typical of the tab in general? Or of units that have been repaired?
Thanks, Nir
Mine is a brand new tmobile tab and that aint normal
Imagine what contaminents can get in there now. Get it fixed.
Hit the thanks button if I have helped

Can you post some pics?
I wasn't sure I'd be able to capture it using my camera, but this picture turned out pretty well: (can't post direct links apparently, sorry for the hassle) www dot slsknet dot org slash galaxy-gap.jpg . You can really see the separation between the frame and the screen. What's not apparent from the picture is that you can shine a light directly above it and see into the device, which as serpentine pointed out makes me worry about dust particles and such getting into it. I'm about ready to give up. Verizon won't replace the device and Samsung clearly can't fix the problem. Paying that early termination fee is starting to look pretty good.
For everyone else

Hrmm, i would complain to whoever you need to, to get a replacement, your provider should really replace it as its "defective"
Thank you, I'll try to talk to Verizon one more time. One way or another I should have some kind of resolution soon.
Cheers, Nir
Well, we spent the morning being bounced back and forth between Verizon and Samsung. Neither company is willing to replace the device, Samsung is offering another repair but as this would be their third and we sort of lost faith in their ability to not return the device physically damaged, we said no thank you and decided to have Verizon suspend our account. Fortunately the lady we talked to was sympathetic to our situation and put our device on the stolen/lost list so we can keep it suspended indefinitely. I'm just really glad this headache is finally over with.
Thanks, Nir
So just curious how does this solve your problems if its been classed as stolen?
Sent from the depths of Hell using XDA Premium
Well, my understanding from what the Verizon representative was saying is that since the device is marked as missing, I'm no longer obligated to resume my plan once it has been suspended. I'm not getting the $200 I paid for the Tab back, but at least I don't have to pay for a monthly plan on a device I'm no longer interested in using. And I don't have to pay the exorbitant $350 early termination fee.
If it was "stolen" will they send you a new replacement? lol
I don't think replacing a stolen unit is in line with their "sucks to be you" policy I guess that's what the indefinite suspension is for.
Hello. i have got my ace for about 3 weeks. Last week i ve noticed that my black back panel of phone is not good adhering in one corner and it makes not very comfortable sound if i push it softly with my hand in some situations. it is mostly noticible when i hold the phone in one hand. i m not aware that i wasn t careful when i put off and put on the cover. Is this thing under my warranty?
Is this thing under my warranty?
It would make sense if it was since even the backpanel is a part of the actual phone itself.
I experienced some creak-sound after accidently dropping the phone, so if it occurred after dropping the phone, technically you shouldnt get any compensation but you could just tell 'em that it was like that from the start.
Thanks, i will see my seller. I hope they will change it, because this really wasn't my fault.
So answer of customer centre was, that they will send the phone somewhere and if it is only back cover problem it will be replaced soon. but i don t get why they need tho whole phone in this case. I don t know if it is worth trying if i can have my phone back in one week but also in one month. Especially when i have also second white cover.
Not worth the whole process. What they will do with the phone is to check where to problem dwells. It might be that the phone got cracked/damaged, or it might simply be the backcover that got damaged somewhere.
Either way you'll end up wasting time.
If you check out this thread ull find a link to buy a new cover from ebay (only 6$), there is a black one for sale as well from the same seller, bought 1 black and 1 white from the seller, 100% satisfied with the covers.
But since you have a 2nd one already, if you dont mind it being white, just use it!
Wasn't there two back panels in your package? If so, try on the other cover.

Not all markets included the white backpanel.
yes i used white panel, but i like the black one more. my seller sent me to samsung service centre if i want to try repair/change quicker. however i was told there that the stuff like this and under warranty have to be sent with whole phone. so i asked how much cost the new black panel. it is 3 euros and some cents. i think it is good price so i have ordered one.
i only had one backpanel by my ace

So! Today my One arrived. I love it, it's a *huge* upgrade to my previous phone (iP4) and I'm loving Android so far.
But. It's not perfect.
I don't have a lens that'll show the problems, unfortunately. I could really do with investing in a macro lens or something!
So, for now, y'all will have to make do with some imagination and a poorly photoshopped stock image of the One.

Green = Some of the white plastic down the left side is bulging out. By approximately 0.25mm (I know, I can't believe I actually measured it either), it's enough to slide a fingernail between the plastic and the screen's bezel.
Red = Backlight from capacitive buttons is leaking through where the bezel joins the screen.
As for my other question, how do HTC returns 'work'? Is it via a prepaid delivery to HTC or do you have to pay postage etc?
How did you get your phone. My carrier (three uk) are good, getting my 4th replacement tomorrow, you give the faulty phone to the courier that delivers it's replacement.

I got mine online, from a store called flubit.com, I've emailed them to ask who their supplier is. It's the supplier who I'd return it to.
I'm guessing it might be P4U, but I'll have to wait for an email from the guys at Flubit.
Thanks for answering the question re: the courier btw!
This can be closed now; ParcelFarce are coming to pick up my faulty unit on Monday, and I'll be getting the replacement around the 19th-25th.
While I wait for them to pick it up, I'll continue playing with my HTC One.
I'm loving it so far, it's an amazing phone. Albeit a slightly faulty one. ^^;

Depends on what problems you're having and when you bought it. You can simply return your phone within 14-30 days, depending on where you live, and buy another one. No warranty claim needed.

in my country i cnt give it back the problem is the screen when i touch it i get wavesblur like
When you send it to service, they need to check it. And if it is for replacement, they are sending your XZ to factory, so they change it. When they get it back from factory, you will get it back new one ofc. It tooks me 2 weeks to get new one, because of mistake at service (they changed motherboard instead to get new phone due dead pixels lol...)
i have a the problem only on 1 side of the screen i hope they replace it

In Australia we have a 30 day "Return for Replacement" warranty. I had my Z replaced yesterday due to dead pixels, and had no issues within this initial period. After the 30 days, not sure. My wife had an Xperia Go phone that developed speaker issues after being submerged in water, and had to be sent to a repairer as it was 2 months old.
Best way is to contact your contry sonymobile. In Slovenia we have 14 days replacement by law, Sonymobile Slovenia wrote me, that they change it if anything happens with phone in time of 6 months.
