I use the tylt wireless charging car dock but when I use waze with it which is almost all the time, i barely get a charge in. 1% for like 5 mins of driving or maybe even 10 mins. Im looking for a fast charger wireless car dock. So i can get a significant charge while using navigation apps.

You can go for Xiaomi car charger. It has very nice metallic build.

Has anyone found a car charger that actually charges a Note 2 in use? My experience is they just slow the discharge (most of them only put out 2 amps).

There you go.
I should also add that unless you're using the GPS and playing music or a movie at the same time, a 2 amp charger should keep it charging while on the road.
Well that was my problem. GPS and music at the same time kills it. Thanks for the link

Powergen makes a 3.1 amp charger but that's shared between 2 ports.

I am using 4.2 amp dual usb car charger bought on eBay. Importantly, I can charge two Note 2's simultaneously where one is mostly on 100% brightness running Google navigation and slacker radio on at&t LTE network and other one charging while being used for light browsing, emails, calls etc. Dual charging is quick and comparable to stock AC charger.
Ebay item number is 320779507652
First post, therefore I can't post direct link. Hope this helps!

My 0.7A Walmart charger keeps up with simultaneous GPS, browsing, and music; while still providing a slow charge to the battery. If you're phone is dying, it's probably because it thinks it's on usb, and limits itself to 0.1A.
Hi i am currently using the basic motorola charger and it feels like tis really slow. I know that the note 2 can handle 2amp chargers or more. Can anyone reccomend a fast car charger and if neccesary a fast charge cable to use in the car. I have a toyota which only charges while the car is on so the faster it charges the better. Thanks for your help
I use my Nook charger

I use my nook charger in the car:

It's fast and almost flush with the lighter jack.
I have the anker 24w 2 port charger. Charges pretty good speed. 12 buck on amazon. It has smart port so it'll charge any smart phone including iPhone iPad etc..

Almoust all car chargers charge 5.0v and 1A so is half from the wall charger amount

If only "pretty quick" and "pretty good speed" were reliable metrics to go by.
I've yet to find a car charger that will get more than 1.1amps on the meter. Max is 1.8.
1.1amps is enough to charge the phone "pretty quick" normally, but not if it is loaded down. Once I get GPS, bluetooth audio and Torque Pro going at the same time, I find that 1.1amps will actually result in a slow drain. I use an inverter and a stock wall charger which keeps the phone charging even at full use. I've yet to find a aftermarket car charger that will do the job.
Yep, I went on search for and found these exist. Personally, I decided I prefer to use a standard car dock and plug my phone into a quick charge car charger so I can turbo charge my phone while I'm driving. But if you're looking for a way to NOT have to plug your phone into a wire every time you get in the car, you can use a Qi Wireless Charging car dock - this one from RavPower works great. Though, as with any Qi Wireless charge, it's a "trickle charge". If you have your phone screen off and not in use, on a 20 minute drive you'll exit your car with an ever so slightly increased battery charge. If you use your phone to stream music or for navigation, you'll likely exit your car with your phone at about the same level the battery was at when you started, which ain't bad considering how much battery navigation can drain without a charge.
Anyway, if you're interested, I did a video review of the RavPower Wireless Qi Car Charger/Dock on YouTube here: https://youtu.be/eyij41KUSQE
OR you can check it on Amazon here: http://goo.gl/sHF69n
Whatever you do, whether you're buying a Qi charger for the car or home, I recommend staying away from single coil chargers. Only get 3 Coil chargers - work much better with much less frustration!

Tell us more about your quick charge car dock please
One thing I love about this phone is my car charger became obsolete. I never need to charge it in the car ever.

I did try an Itian 3 coil Qi desktop charger. worked OK if phone was naked, but, I cannot use it because I have a magnetic mount for my car and the metal plate gets very hot as well as messes with the Qi charger.
Besides I like the turbo charge speed at both the bedside and in the car for those times I may have forgotten to put it on the charger at bedtime.
It takes my N6 forever to charge plugged into my car charger. Is there anyway to speed this up besides quick charge via my kernel?

What charger are you using in your car? Do you have the screen on while charging?
I use this, bought it when there was a deal on it for like $10, works great.

Yea. Those are good. I have 2 of the car chargers and one of the wall chargers. Do fast charge in car and at wall on both Nexus and S6. No problems so far. Was on sell again the other day.
Got one of these the other day from winnergear , Amazon has the best price, and really, it's pretty awesome. If you are looking for a qi charger/mount for your phone I would recommend giving this one a look.
It is adjustable in both width and length, I used it successfully with my note 5, lg g3 and s6 edge +. I just returned from a 5 hour round trip that I needed to use my gps for and it not only charged my note fully but it kept it there. The screen was on the entire time with gps running, streaming Google play music and the charger worked flawlessly.
The way the mount holds, and more so, releases your phone is just great. It easily adjusts by sliding the sides or the bottom, insert your phone and just squeeze the sides tight, when you want to remove your phone just push the button on the back and the sides release. If you have used some mounts before, you know what a pain they can be to get your phone in and out, simply not the case with this one.
It comes with a couple mounting options, suction to the window, cup holder or a 3M sticker to attach it with, tho to be honest I didn't use any of those options. I had an old vent mount that I swapped the base with and it worked perfect for my needs. Had I not had that mount one of the included options would have worked just fine.
It includes a lighted power adapter with a universal micro USB end that attaches to the mount which is great, instead of some proprietary plug that if something happens to it the charger is useless.
This mount is well made, feels like quality materials were used in its construction and should be around for years to come. It's easy to use and overall, it's a great option for qi on the go charging.
Couple more pictures, the pictures they have in the link are much better but I like to see user images as well so included some anyways.
So will this charger fast wireless charge your Note 5 or just regular wireless charge it?

I haven't had the opportunity to use it when my phone is really low so I can't comment on the length of time it takes to charge from near empty but it supports 2 amp fast charging, some of the chargers I have seen do 1 amp, which just isn't enough.
I just got a $20 fast wireless charger and took the guts out and adding it to my current mount. Used some quick steel and a plastic cover. Then I paired it with my qualcomm fast car charger. $20 out of my pocket at that moment. I've noticed that if I use a 2.4 amp charger vs the qualcomm, the phone will not charge while using google maps nav. The qualcomm charger does charge it much faster. Google maps uses so much juice it's ridiculous.
